Onyango Obama, the president’s uncle, was charged last week with operating under the influence after nearly hitting a police cruiser in Framingham, Mass, as we noted earlier this week. Onyango was held without bail because he also was wanted on a federal immigration warrant. When Onyango was asked if he wanted to make a phone call, following his arrest, he said, “I think I will call the White House,” Massachusetts police said. But yesterday, President Obama tried to lay to rest any notion that his uncle would get special treatment from law enforcement officials. Should he be deported?
