This is the financial exchange with the very Armstrong and sharks are now. You're exclusive look at business and financial news affecting your day your city your world. Stay informed and up today about economic and market trends plus get breaking business news every day. And now the financial exchange with the Barry Armstrong and chuck saga. Today is a big day for its initial public offerings we've got an interest going public it looks like it's gonna go off around 22 dollars a share. Zoom. Parents even heard that that they too are going Republican. Heck they're going to be around 36 dollars this year from what I gather and we're gonna take a look at both of those because. They should both go public while we are on there hi everybody Berrian might with you here on Thursday morning. It did. Yeah a lot of IPOs. Interest I would say is the more exciting one here much smaller well known as you mentioned zoom. Really more of a business software and if you're not. Using it in your trying to aware of it interest kind of operates in its own niche. As opposed to Xoom has a lot of mainstream competitors so weighted interest has definitely been more interesting play here I'll be interest Berenson to see how they do. If they have 250 million users there really isn't part of their user base that I find is it's 81% female. Tell us what it is if I mean your wife is on interest and my wife is on interest but feel like for me. Ali knows something about you. Click on pictures or something I still don't understand so let let's say that you are. Designing and but right now my my wife are considering re finishing her so looking for ideas instead you know how you re finished the attic what sort of features you put and we got in the ceiling so how do you make it still seemed brighten their design ideas. You can use the interest apt to basically the hick difference you know. People published stuff online all the time they finish their economic turndown in certain features that they built in to their stuff. As previously pin these different pictures and links to different web sites. All on one digital board. So that when your actually coming to design this thing you go back and say oh yeah I really like that one thing at this person do it and this is a link to an article on. How it all worked in one and all looked like we did the same thing for our kitchen it was pretty useful is certain certain features when re we'd done in rehab kitchen. You haven't interest boards. But it helped design and I think of people did this before interest existed raised just cutting out pictures from magazines. And you know keeping the ball together in one binder this is kind of a digital binder for projects. Recipes. Now ulcers but I like to think dividends kind of visual Google's search in terms of your looking for ideas. Yeah. Pretty much in terms of value sells advertising. That and try to figure out how they make money on Austria same way every other social media company sells to the free service and you get ads so there was no different than FaceBook or Google. They're just advertising to their users and the interesting part about interest. Is that again so 81% of the users female. Median income of their users over 50000 dollars over half their users haven't income over 125000. Dollars so very. High end high end type of customers. And if you talk about growth opportunities rated 81% of your users are being mailed in your pretty much have no exposure to half the population. So there's room for growth I don't know if they can't appeal today I mean I. Had been on the interest website but I don't use pitchers I'm not one of their active users says I don't know that they can appeal to the memories of inspector bureau. All right Alison yep interest going in and it's literally any minute and it looks as if the price is going to be. Well right now they're saying somewhere between twenty to fifty and 2350. Per share. And then zoo and and that's on the New York Stock Exchange yet Zoolander. Ticker symbol PI and it's one thing. Yes and Xoom is gonna trade under the symbols C am. I don't have a range only knows that the yeah. Fish offer prices 36 dollars. Both of them trying to avoid the same fate as list yeah and as soon known to gives him credit here this a profitable company. This isn't sound and you know been pie in the sky cab company that's still just attracting users and tried to be profitable though they're running a profitable company they have a lot of dedicated business users business customers. And we all know that telecommuting working from home and being on video conferencing is part of the modern workforce these days. My real concern resume is the number of competitors that do exactly what they do and the resources those competitors ray you'd think that. Marcus Microsoft NATO and yeah they do if they really wanted to today. Out price then copy if you with the same features that Xoom has and attract a lot more business customers. Think so but now that may be zoom is really doing something that they are not that I'm not aware. So Buddhist Microsoft apple is a product that they bought years ago. The video conferencing. If people use for calls as well. It's Skype Skype they don't Skype I know that there's a ton of them out there. Go to meeting go to meeting at one of the big ones so. They have a lot of big competitors with big money behind them so that's not how are only concerned even Google's competitor yeah Google has the product. So. Inching companies like that their profitable and yet the other profitable company went public this year completely different. Industry decade. And the Jean company. Levi Levi went public earlier this year and they are the only other profitable one that started trading and they've done tremendously well since I've. Well I mean time will tell and I I suspect folks that we're going to be you look at these during the course of the show and deviant ideas as to how they're performing. FaceBook says it has unintentionally. Uploaded one point five million users email contacts. Without permission how would they go about do some. Who knows. And a video equipment that will be they have all of our email system thing. They dear -- back in 2016. And before one of the sign on processes when you first sent effort spurred countless you verify everything via email they since got rid of that process I don't know exam I've had my. You know I've had my FaceBook account since before towards sixteens I don't know the new process for setting up. A FaceBook account but allegedly what they did here was in 2016 they stopped requiring that. Email verification process but they continued to collect the email addresses. Now. The good news that and share with Sarah Alley they collect your email addresses and published them all online arson and one of the third party. Software developers have to like bats. But. Dates shared you know upload one point five million users you know addresses without their permission so. There's going to be a lot of regulators again notre FaceBook and probably some time stickam. The any impact on the stock price today. Hasn't seen that way it's luck ran off about half percent so nobody's terribly worried about this. You know this is the type of reaction that you would have liked to see from FaceBook with all their other issues. Rather than run them sweeping them under the rug. This was a I would say in terms of comparison to their other ones are relatively minor issue but he came out immediately said this in what we discovered. This was the impacts and this is our current. That that was the right reaction. I health care is the large insurance company and they are having very. Difficult month of April why who what why they have such a tough time politics. All politics were heating up for the two point one election and obviously. As far as I conceded biggest. Campaign issue it is health care for all whether or not gonna have a Medicare for all type of policy and effectively if we did that read. Largely put United Healthcare out of business. And I'm surprised you know he's the would you look at the polling numbers. The Kaiser deity. A poll. And it was. Basically asking would you support a single Payer system. And according certainly by the Kaiser Family Foundation last month. 56%. Of respondents supported national health plan in which all Americans. Would get insurance from single government plan vs 39%. Who said they oppose. I'm not as surprised by the statistics disease in two. Well he's polling going up and up towards a you know public option. For this and I might disagree and there's no details from those people who report about how it gets funded. But I'm shocked us. With Tucker you were called few weeks ago we asked you should Medicare be eligible for people over the age sixty. And we have a very conservative audience and overwhelmingly. Our audience it yes you should be able to qualify for Medicare XXX. Interest. It with our our audience had people saying sixty years old dramatic I mean that would be. Hundreds. Tens of billions of dollars cost. What was the number talk to your numbers like 70%. I think it was like 6040. In favor. But in new Medicare is an incredibly. Pot of all government programs Medicare has consistently the last. Twenty years had the best. Ratings. Anything. Well the company at the things it goes out to dinner with a woman whose 64 years old. And she couldn't wait to turn 65. Because issues and field one Medicare she went. You know the it's it's one of those things where. You know so many workers union guys eat these are not your peers. In in my age categories so many workers lose their jobs it big corporations somewhere between the ages 55. And sixty it'll. Rate for whatever of variety or reasons drop gets eliminated. TV company boost but they lose their jobs Eddie 6258. But anyway if you lose your job that he 62 as this woman. And you're paying for health that your your pain 2000 dollars a month. That's an influence how you vote on topic I. It is. Damage your if your shell out two grand now. Not a lot of people actually doing now a lot of people are shelling out the full price for health insurance plan on their own these days. But if you if you're facing that even that prospect of that happening right even the fear of that potentially happening. It's it's scary enough to potentially you know drive your vote like they did in this poll which. It was an overwhelming support for a Medicare fraud means obviously. Half of the country or half the pool B album more than 54%. Welcome I'm curious about audience here this question are you concerned that a major health event could force you into bankruptcy. And you know I think of one of our business partners caution dole and Tom Lipsky immunity. They provide that service to help senior citizens fully bankruptcy due to health issues. They have thousands and thousands of clients that hired them. Because for that. But before that ferry fear so that's our poll question like did ask if you'd participate in the poll by visiting our website it. Financial exchange showed dot com. Are you concerned that a major health that it could force you into bankruptcy. And just. Answer the question if you wanna comment on that feel free to Texas tech's number 63566. You know what does the grapes that are here. From sit in and frankly I have this complaint. You know I'm 59 years old and I can't qualify. For long term care insurance you know and so that's a concern I. 59 your soul on ineligible if not an insurance company in the country that would issue policy on Miami based on my health background. And yet. There's no other option and if you get sick and go to nursing home. Yeah most people are gonna go bankrupt rate with the nursing home costs 10121000. Depending on radar. I mean down south divide it into one for eight to ten thousands northeast US troops and 12141000. Dollars in the so it's good now bankrupt us people like a tight I can't imagine that it wouldn't anyway. Chime in on the on the topic if you will take a look at your text messages when we return to the financial change. Mean this there's the charts graphs and numbers all day and just listen to. Unaffiliated but folks this is Mike Armstrong from the financial exchange I'm joined now by. Yeah I I go back to the first apartment that I ever rented us there were five of us in this. Franklin is terrible Somerville apartment. But we're all trying to coordinate our Renton it was a bit from NASA and kind of heinous. How does this all work on on the platform are you able to split out the rants of how does that really make the landlords like. Easier shore Michael thanks so we created searing it's really odd meeting simplifying the whole range collection process for landlords and property managers. And what we do is we we basically third individual tenants will debit and individually and patched their payments together that sends its. So landlords love it winners you know a single unit landlord or more of a professional landlord hundreds of units. They use this product. For the reporting the automated rent collection for the tenant. Rent splitting so it's it's been great. That's pretty nice you mentioned and most importantly it's completely reprise Harry get it offer for for yes so our strategy has been a little bit different we don't charge tenants and we don't charge. What we do is we actually licenses through banks. Who then offering to their landmark. And for being a client of that being too becomes a free service to vote the way in the hours in the tent that's X number of different New England local bank set up or we do we have quite a few institutions are all available on the rent dot net seeking going sea and always adding new institutions. Folks again the name of the service is he renting you can get a lot more information by going to see rent dot net it is a completely free tool for both landlords and tenants. And once again there's a lot more information you can get to get signed up and start collecting the tenant's rent online immediately he rents dot net or even give them a call. At 7816418691. Kaiser conducted a poll found that 56%. Of Americans with like a Medicare for all the program. And that's headed devastating impact on health care stocks like drug companies insurance companies and hospital operators. Our poll question today is are you concerned. About a health care issue forcing you into bankruptcy. Only about 35% of listeners are concerned about that but we did get a number text messages as a relates to health insurance. Six of three right there ever retired firefighter in New Hampshire and I pace 900 dollars a month from insurance to totally turn 865. 60 threes rate. I lose. News. Terminated. And when I turned 55. And that's what his mindset changed as a relates to Medicare for all so I think what happens on a topic like this might pose. If it's impacting your family directly like your dad was impacted your brother if you were personally. Acted that's gonna influence Holyfield's. Yeah. Undoubtedly the retired firefighter in New Hampshire my guess by the way that 900 dollars a month is just for one person's insurance that's probably not a and we plan that's not only. I'm Mary plus spouse is probably just. One individual health insurance and it's it's not. As. US and Canada. Are having a problem as it relates to training over the Boeing 737. Max. Canada wants all of their in any pilot that's gonna fly at Max over Canadian airspace. They're saying hey we want simulator. Training but I didn't realize Michael is there is no simulator training. Yet doesn't exist I want these bout stats and I I'm fawn with Canada here. I want these past that's of interest and I think you're gonna see this. Successively from every other countries regulators. China Brazil Europe have all indicated that they are going to be conducting their own safety reviews and a there's no way Boeing's getting out of this for that retrain pilots and simulators in my opinion I can't imagine that would be the case. Ground simulators specifically designed to mimic the 737. Max won't become widely available until autumn or later. Autumn to me is October rate up and we know these birds are out of the air. What Americans at least until August 19. I think so witty all the airlines enter put them off but I think the general public's gonna say hey I'm not get on the airplane until the east. Pilots have been trained simply because. It what I find remarkable news. I I didn't know they had been trained and like I just kind of thought that was standard procedure procedure for learn and on new planes. Well I mean that was the entire. Point two assists 737 there at Boeing brushed out or did they in Russia now they pushed out this plane under the 737. I guess brand. With the whole selling point being that. Pilots did not need to retrain. They were RE trained on 730 sevens and 737 Max was just a slightly different generations there's no new training required there are some written training manuals are yet to go through. Now understand but that seems to be one of the biggest. In addition to some faulty software some of the biggest cause these planes is pilots weren't all that well trained on how to handle an emergency crisis like this. I think you'd be a huge mistake for the FAA and I don't think they will be they've opened up. Japan and international committee to. Discuss how this is all going to be handled. But if the FAA came out and said hey we've approved in new. Boeing and training process and where you know were proving a software fix and he's playing they're good to fly and then you have international. Government agencies saying no we're not doing that. You put you put American fliers and airliners in airlines in a really tough position be you know that southwest in America have to come out and say no we're gonna ground them because. Europe says you can't plan. That right now. It's it's. Boeing shares today by the way Europe two dollars and four cents at 379. Dollars. Per share this. They're not reflecting. Terrible news. They seem to have found basin 370 range. But that's where there's trading right now and we have to keep in mind too that the stock is still trading. Even with the news of the crashes and how much it's fallen since then we are still at prices that were basically reached. Back in G and sister. And today it's still it is very. Hasn't lost all that much out. True. S&P is down five points the Dow is down eighteen points and NASDAQ is up 39 points. And crude closed down one cent per barrel at 6375. We are waiting anxiously awaiting the first trades. In Xoom and in interest the symbol for interest is PI and yes it has not gone off yet. And zoom the symbol is C and that trades on the NASDAQ we haven't seen the first freedom zoom yet either. I do think it they will both occur during the course of the show when we come back. Mike the markets still waiting to IPOs but let's talk about a couple older companies Honeywell and Philip Morse. Yes so Honeywell seems to be really firing on all cylinders after tripping in the fourth quarter of last year electorates the market either reported earnings. Earned a dollar 92 per share for the first quarter most analysts have been expecting to come and about a buck 83 share revenue beat estimates as well. Specifically there's sing astronomy at there aerospace products males are raised full year forecasts stock right now up about 3%. But tremendous unity growth Philip Morse on the other hand it. Also reported a pretty strong quarter earnings came in and a dollar 31 point 35 billion her a dollar. Nine per share which beat expectations. Revenue also be expectations but be. Guy little bit lower for the rest of the year really pointing to a few who judgments internationally. That. Are likely going to impact. Their cash flows they have the pants and settlements. For smoke and us. Says that stock is down right now about two and half percent. OK and I see the dividend on Philip Morse is about 5%. In on Honeywell looks to be about 2% is Aaron yeah now just under two for Honeywell and five and a half percent for Philip Morris right now Philip Morris is facing you know the same uphill battle that tobacco companies faced in the United States. For decades Philip Morse just sells those products internationally. But they're facing the same backlash that that we've seen here in the United States for decades. That's a Wall Street watched. Any news in terms of the negotiations between Stop & Shop and the labor. Unions they really don't seem to be improving I heard that maybe Joseph Biden was visiting. Some of the locations yes Joseph is going to be at the Dorchester location I believe there Marty while at 2 PM this afternoon. So. The no real updates in terms of when this might be getting resolved. I haven't seen any real movement. I was gonna say. I'd like to see your opinions on this that bears chocolate. From what I have seen you looking at other strikes recent sterling market baskets. Etc. Most peeved that I talked to you. Are less favorable of this strike at less on the employee's side I've seen in the past at least that's the text message that I've seen coming through. And that's the general consensus I get from just talking to people around current town will 55% of her listeners yesterday in the poll were pretty much against the stop shop workers really am. That area. Project to the onion tucked. Only do we grow shoe store chain on the island two different stop and shops. I'd be pretty rough near one of homes completely closed the other one deep I can't get any fresh. Seafood deli meat based despite canned goods and it's I don't spend a lot of time on Nantucket but I would guess that the only at a grocery stores there. Expense yeah that's like all the organic high and food their at bats and now you're seeing people have to take the ferry. Across the tape and go shopping you know market starter Shaw's or whatever it is. But that's expensive. Discouraged and bring rover right. New week new price by a week's worth of groceries we can't really get two weeks' worth of produce and now. Produced the last week it is the last two weeks now that island beach every day this is going to be I think very very damaging for. Stop & Shop in the long term they have already been active middle of the road or restore where they're not the cheapest and they're not the most expensive and having trouble differentiating themselves. This does nothing to help. You know the AP. Other challenged they'll lose you know these workers say the beer. I. I looked at them now that they're getting other benefits Zedillo's amazed by ninety what do we say 92% of the cost to their benefits are covered by the company. Yeah I mean nobody does that. That's probably part of the reason people are not terribly sympathetic towards them but you know I Stop & Shop. You gonna have a tough time back on the workers. You know trying to bust this union trying to go nonunion workers up without me. Good lie sent him a fine example 75%. Of the workers are part time digital I did them so that's. And don't they. It's it's it's something just kind of wins. As we age estate planning and asset protection become of Paramount importance to maintaining happy and successful like stuff. Many families that go through this process. Think about transferring their home to their children to protect it from the nursing home. If you're not careful and nursing home state can get your financial well being in transferring property is not always the best solution. Because you're looking at a huge capital gains tax when the home is sold. If you find yourself in a similar position unique Todd looks east new guide it's called the risks and rewards of real estate ownership. A senior partner with Cushing and Dolan and host of the legal exchange radio show Todd will break it down for you piece by piece and in turn. Will help you avoid probate and unnecessary taxes. Or log on to legal exchange showed dot com if you wanna download the guide. Right now. Speaking of negotiations. Where are we in terms of the US China. Trade talks. My understanding is that everybody's kind of banking on it deal getting done here yeah there it seems like it may be as soon as may or June of this year. I think they're. Is probably still lot to get done but the fact that we haven't heard any big public comments and he'd be. Public fights between the union negotiators to me would indicate that we're getting close we're we haven't had present chump come out Wednesday. Were far away on these items or disagree with. President xi on this that the other so to me that indicates things are going silent. That were really working on the minor details at this point and not the big picture items. The doping we do know is that Chinese economy seems to be rebound rate the CD through a lot of stimulus at their economy. In the first quarter converting it. You know it is us. The differ scored GDP looked slightly better than expected came at six point 4%. If you growth. Just hesitate every time I see any number coming out of there about GDP because that that was one of the big. You know hypothetical advantages that the top administration had at these negotiating at the negotiating table which was. China's economy is taking it on the chin worse than the US economy. So did that. Advantage really go away you or is the Chinese Government just pretending that it went to weigh. I don't know yeah aid very could be very well could be either way what we do know is if they did that these rates it was largely on the back of government spending. I just Sar report it now looks as if consume IPO is an open. At sixty dollars a share that was priced at 36 hours. Which is at the high end of its range now they're saying it's been opened at sixty dollars per share and those of you waiting to buy shares in interest. I believe Michael the price range and that's going to be somewhere between 22 dollars and fifty cents and 2350. I mean I know that there are a lot of business customers looking at this and use him every day says that they you know are probably picking up and saying I want to buy this but. And now. They're profitable so that's that does help. That if they're going into this whole thing and they don't need to raise funding to become profitable to continued investment. There's a lot of good competition that space well how are they better then. Skype and how are they better at it and go to meeting goes to an unfamiliar with I think we actually subscribe to go to meeting who do we do our our business attracts good news or. I genuinely don't know I don't know what Xoom does that is so much better in the attitude I know that they have varied. Customer focused Brandon at the end really focused on high eight. Reliability. And just to please their customer but. That's not enough there you need to have something that nobody else has. To be successful as a smaller company. I don't know maybe maybe I'm missing something here I don't you business like I can't say for sir price for it seems pretty fair. For small to medium business it's twenty bucks a month. And but it's everybody else's and that's in space. They're not any cheaper any. Not significantly cheaper significantly more expensive embryos that anyone's listening in uses a pretty frequently did Texas a Porsche 63566. Of the interest and to get your opinion on it. I haven't personally is that I've used in their competitors' software. I've been happier now to stinging like. I use facetime. And I use faded messenger on FaceBook very tea to media conference of people. I guess this is for. Really for business purposes yes I mean this is going to do conference call this is going to do more things it's going to you allied easily share your screen on your computer it's going to be you know easily send files and probably store files. And handle a much larger called then perhaps basement market this FaceBook or Google could handle on their own. So yeah maybe twenty people connecting to a video call verses or 12121. Day. More retail type platform but. Again. Maybe there's something that we're missing here but it doesn't seem like they're doing it all that different partners. And looked I would say surprisingly solid. Weird do you think this trade deal is going at this point how soon is that it wrapped up and what does that mean for words some Chinese stocks that you might to a. Yeah well the ball by an and you like it down Baltimore client so old Ollie myself 08. The source China goes. I what was happening on the trade front the fact that they have effectively now called sport to be this week's meetings could they've been doing everything it's a I think the single most important aspect of the negotiations. Is. The willingness by the Chinese. Can no longer past that any American company would want to do business in China. Have eat Chinese joint venture partner that's wall but that was occurring so Mike what state you're right for example wanted to start. Media and online brokerage trading. Community share in China we would have been the Chinese worker and actually partnered with access to all our proprietary technology algorithm. And they're no longer required and that's about the big deal a really excited. Can't imagine my American companies had a tough time competing in China us. I mean what you know it it would literally the achievement but feeling a lot of information data. Expertise knowledge insight all of that was built right into the whole thing institutionally. We've gotten rid of it. A very optimistic I think we get it you know. Is surely as they may get the latest here there's one or Alibaba sicker. BA BA which is basically the camera on China until like Amazon you have to like Alibaba. It and nuevo. Which is kind of extinct like. A combination. Of I don't know eBay and Twitter that it what you got all the Chinese celebrity's. We didn't. So to speak on weight though but they are close calls not a measure in court actually. You know tweeted a picture of a pair excuse you rate a bit and a lot of lines here you go with one equipped. You Odom and because you know you're. Your payment data as it aired your dresses are there they just magically appear your door you're charts so we would have to wait this is critical platforms so. Only problem with Albert. Inched disarray and it's changing gears a little bit yeah we had apple in Qualcomm settling their deal obviously bear call come seems to have gotten the better of that side of that coin stop was up I believe 20% 22% in the day it was announced. What are your thoughts on the ad the semiconductor sector as a whole right now. I'm selling into strength. I was wrong Qualcomm robotic down it I don't know 53 minute when guys it has been in it that a great short of what forty. I need as. But I do not help with the there was only about 678 weeks ago sure because I really I'd what I loved about Qualcomm back that they have worked side. Anyone else in the world. That's and it. Every stock at an asset there's a crisis which you buy it in a price at which we sell my target was seven point oh OK well now we're on seven about. My target was seventy dollars are on now they've got this. Settled with apple in a long term deal properly at Reebok earnings which are in the senate won't be to a street Peter's. Yet the stock grants I eat read that you don't want it through my target it's already discounted a thing that happened three years and now a selling Qualcomm. The ball but it was selling an X eight which you know an ex CI is the kicker Matt that the company Qualcomm quantify that Chinese with a group there. Seriously I got that down in the sixties to now about a hundred I love that they're the leader news. And sensors for Carter's. What are ominously. There's a lot of runway there but you know what again. It's an asset and that it had the pace at which by the price which is now the about a hundred so I'm going to bury them. China state a little bit discipline there. We were talking a little bit earlier in the segments about the idea of Medicare for Austin there's a recent poll that showed 54% of Americans in favor of gay. Single Payer Medicare for all type of scenario what has that done to the health care sector so far this year and are there any. Silver lines that you can pull out of there and trying to invest in that sector right now. Well it is. Health care thing you know the this would be an example effectively but the government critic of the private sector out of business in one. Former another I don't think it happens and even even if I'm wrong it did happen this. Is where you see public. Private partnerships and you know. Maybe maybe if done right editor such a bad thing but bottom line. Because the government gonna be the infrastructure maturity. The bottom line and you look at the media right. The largest pharmacy network in the country. And their opening clinics. Wellness clinics and they have. Registered nurses and nurse practitioners in clinics and they have 020 you know what site actions. And that's wonderful pollution and it's treated. Seven times or think and by the way you'll likely percent but the heat out of my seat yes I want to find it a sign of weakness. United health group is the largest insurer. It has been devastated went up to ninety about 220. What is more about a year ago but round trip did not back to break even but on any further we get by the whatever you are such that. You know where or just sort of as giving out. Oh certainly add more what they are uncomfortable with it right here you know twenty all the like the opposite of what's happening then then he's off to remove the Mets have. And now the financial exchange with Barry Armstrong and sharks done us. It's a big day for investors because we have to companies that are going public in the air. Anxiously awaiting. The prices for the stocks are we going to companies or interest of course symbol for interest is PI and as we don't have a first tree yet. And the other company is Zulu the symbol is CM. Hi everybody it's might get ferry with you here and let's just tell everybody with these two companies do Michael and what our expectations are for the first trades gestures of interest social media company 250 million users about half of those here in the United States they are different from most other social media companies insofar as it's not about connecting with other people in sharing personal. Information so much as creating. Interest boards if you will so perhaps your interest in recipes. You save maybe a dozen recipes for something to your interest border maybe your interest did in in my case my wife was. Instant wouldn't it different ideas for. Renovate are kitchens that we had a whole kitchen board where we saved images and web sites that did some interest in work. An area and the depth. Installing a certain cabinet a certain way because we liked what we saw in this interest website. They then sell advertisements and those users the interest in peace about interest. Being that 81% of their users are currently female and median income for those users is over 50000 dollars so. In incher staying higher and social media company guess if you want to talk about their user base. Casey interest BI and us. It should go public during the course of this hour. It and then we thought it was going to be at nineteen dollars a share it now appears as if it's gonna go somewhere. Our round. 2223. Dollars per share with those trees which would value them somewhere around thirteen billion dollars Oka says interest. Zoom we're getting even more interest and in that we thought that that stock was gonna go off at 36 dollars this year and ET the bids. Early on looked as if they're going to be summer of 62 dollars now it's at sixty dollars last are now I've I've seen bits out there at 62 dollars this year. Which would value this company somewhere in the fifteen billion dollar range that's see that's that he'd be moved if it actually opens up that way and yes investor that that concerns me oh you had that take a look at the lift. You know I know that soon and mr. very different companies that recognize that the zoom opened up. Paris you'd lift opened up at 78 dollars and 29 cents about two weeks ago. They are currently trading at. Less than 58 dollars a share senators and you know early excitement about the IPO in that clearly drifted off. Big difference resume is there already profitable none of the other big tech companies that have gone public this year our news Cooper will not be public when are they will not be profitable when they go public lift was not interest is not so resume has that advantage going for them perhaps that's what's getting investors excited. Point lead and a lot of money on the table or chair I mean news you're getting. Your shares sold at 36 box and it's looks like you can a price that public offering a lot higher. One thing I wanna mention about lift. Those looking short interest in lift 60% of the shares and list are being shorted right now. And they're gonna report earnings at the end of April. Date wanting to watch it would be the the options activity in the list. But the pricing on the list rate which right now is down again today it's down another dollar today. At 1528. Portland 60%. Of your stock has been shorted. There could be short squeeze. It's that's something that if you're if you wore fact shorting. I would advise you to he probably made quite a bit of money shorting this stock. You might wanna be careful going forward but anyway. We will let you know the second we see trade school law. In interest or in Xoom and other stock go the opposite direction is UnitedHealth. Guys care and their stock was this high is I think 280 dollars a share spent 218. Dollars shirts are back. The entire health care sector. Has been damaged by the moved towards Medicare for all Americans seemingly are warning everybody to be able to get on Medicare. Yeah and you know it isn't often that we can point to one political. Issue or policy and say that that's really disrupting private sector of the stock market the stock market as a whole but this is one of those cases where it's buries it leaders in the discussions about Medicare for all and the popularity according to a number of polls. Heading into the two point one election of that potential. Is clearly disrupting the health insurers is disrupting the pharmaceutical companies it is impacting. Pharmacies themselves CDS. Really doing quite poorly this year. Yeah just on this potential rumors. Area I think a lot of people would say that the likelihood. Of a full Medicare for all scenario where they put the insurers out of business is pretty unlikely but. Clearly even talking about is enough to move the stock prices considered. While 56% of respondents. Supported in no national health plan in which all Americans would get insurance from a single government plan vs thirty ninths percent. Who said they oppose it the only problem is he didn't see how it's going to be paid for in other words if it said. Well do you sponsor of Medicare for all plan and by the way. There's going to be at 10% I you at a tax on everything purchase needed to respond tree it would have been different certainly. A lot of a lot of the results of polls like that are based on how the question is fast. Most certainly by the way we add text him with zoom does their video conferencing software. We've gotten it explained interest pretty pretty significantly but. If you've ever used Skype if you've ever used gotomeeting there specifically business use. Video conference and screen sharing software really targeted you know Skype was initially targeted towards individuals this is a software there's targeted towards businesses. And has had incredible success there's no denying that to my biggest critique. Of this stock not of the company but the stock is that they face a lot of competition and they faced a lot of competition from buried deep pockets like the likes of Microsoft etc. so. Aid clearly investors are pretty excited about it I have concerns about the alarm the long term growth trajectory. Poll question today is are you concerned that a major health event could force you into bankruptcy. He can participate in the poll by visiting our website its financial exchange showed dot com. We can Texas with your thoughts on that topic or text numbers 63566. Wall Street Journal headline shrinking US trade gap China growth bode well for the global economy. Is long as you discount your. Yeah hey I get. I got surprised by this initially when we saw that China had you really strong QQ one GDP it and it was surprised it. The fact of the matter is that. At least on the US side things are looking better than they did a year ago in terms of our exports to China and offsetting the U incredible amount of good answers that we import from China. So it's a good indication again for the trade talks of something potentially settling there. This would seem to be a good indicator and yeah a lot of the trade negotiations have centered around China's willingness to buy more US goods so this. You could see this get better for the United States before the end the year fact. If Saddam. It could bode well orderly scene for estimates on first quarter GDP here to mask two and a half two for you guys I mean I'd be surprised if you got much higher than that certainly. Hey you're not gonna I don't think there's anything really even if that perfect China trade deal got done I don't think there's much that you could say. Would bump up GDP over 3% this year I'd be surprised. Oh. Our eight retirees are flocking to these three states and fleeing three states in droves I got a Saudia. The states that are being for the we were fleeing her a lot of money to states they are I don't think there's really any big surprises here the estates of people are going to. Florida sure everybody from the northeast seems to retired and the Florida but. New Mexico and Arizona which have been growing retirees state of the last few years and it you know it's all taxes. It is really it taxes into. Hostel living yep you go to Arizona he buyer really nice holes for 200000 dollars you can hear cost health care is less. New Mexico's very similar to airs on that sense Florida people are going there for the climate and the beaches. In the low tax rates to your. Yeah I mean among the highest tax rates in the country obviously we have some areas northeast of Massachusetts Connecticut New York. That's the average income tax per capita is above 2000 dollars Minnesota's pushing 2000 and then of course California and Horry and also about 2000 dollars the per capita after a state income tax collected. But obviously other states like New Jersey which have slightly less income tax collected. But cost of living is enormous. In you know the good thing that. Politicians forget. Is that you know wealth in wealthy people normal. And you know the they might want they might still keep my house in futures if they still keep a house on the Connecticut shore up on the coast demeaned. But they're gonna file the taxes down to Florida but their file their taxes in Arizona or in in New Mexico because the tax rates are so much laughs right there not gonna file. Their income taxes and that's where the states really want they want you know Connecticut needs. The it's taken a million bucks a year to file those taxes in Connecticut they're not gonna do that in retirement a second their mobile and they can say. You know I used to work for our Bridgewater associates that hypnotic can have a cast rated they may retire and they got five million bucks in their Larry but not gonna file Jack tax returns in retirement in Connecticut. Yeah that's what the service as this survey is done by United Van Lines that B gap move relocation company and they surveyed about 27000 of their customers. New Jersey Connecticut no big surprises to me the one that did surprise me that was Maine the state of Maine ranked in the top three. States where people are moving away from inciting retirement as the big as the B issues there. Thank you see it. The New England states have a problem they've got to do something that attracts young people. And and older people the state because what happens on the issues the issues older people may look at Cape Cod they levee keep kind of been. Unity of lots of people are coming back to decay this month rate back in April they'll stay there till the middle of October but they're backed out of Florida for the winter you. Absolutely. Opens again the issue doesn't seem to be. The working age people because in New Jersey you've got close proximity to the city of New York southern Connecticut the same stories you can attract those younger people that are employed. The issue is you know do you wanna keep that 65 plus person who's taking so security take money out of their retirement accounts. And you know. Right now what's happening is those people are relocating and they might be living their five months a year Roger collecting zero dollars of that income tax for them right that's right. Up next will be playing trivia and then we have a story about program that we share with all that more coming up on the financial exchange. Shouldn't. Go to work everything business and finance its financial exchange with Barry Armstrong and chunks of on the financial exchange radio network. All right let's talk about Kroger. They're trying to get in to the autonomous delivery of groceries. And then everybody doesn't mean that they need to do the biggest merger story out there the days I would publicly traded group should change. They're trying to catch up to likes of Amazon. Today they're using I think right now it's really just fade. Almost a marketing ploy right hey we have drive those cars delivering your trees it's probably not cost effective yet it's probably not all that efficient yet. But you can see had a decade from now if you're not paying an employee to drive that car and it could be quite effective. So chorus trying to catch up and they have really been. Demolished to really since since Amazon Bob Hope who's their stock has really had a very difficult time keeping up with the changing environment. It's it's it's actually the stock has but there's still saw a lot of surfers merely cute people still. Yet there's some people doing some shopping on the edges. I'm looking your family's being the prime candidate for doing a lot of online grocery shopping how much you actually do not they would. Final the BJ's Wholesale Club really started action when it interrupt Barea Xoom just started trading right now it started off at about 65 dollars a share. And is now trading. It's traded lower at this point trading now down about sixty through the jumping back out to sought trade go off at 66 yeah so aid initially trade at 65 came down to that 63 range and has been between 63 in 66 dollars per share resume again trading under the ticker symbol Z and the 80s80. Mainly business enterprise video who. Video conferencing software. No trades on the trichet no trades on interest. So we'll keep checking in on Xoom and interest he had those are progressing accurate call the bill lift IPO had a pretty interest in first days that would keep. Keep an eye on that back discretion delivers stores at the local news the the regionals. Bulk. Growth restore BJ's wholesale. Just did a more kind of in death partnership with -- to cart and so I just placed our first our first delivery order for an from BJ's and that's when that makes a ton of sense to me be used to see. How much. Crap is in her car after we go to Egypt how much do you spend for the tour with the delivery. So they do a pretty actually said the delivery fee is fifteen dollars and and you get tipped the drivers wells of reasonably speaking for and you know and normal grocery order from BJ's for us. Maybe you're tipping ten bucks and paying the fifteen dollar delivery the way that BJ's has set up those if you order. A certain number of dollars. Of goods from specific sponsor is that they have a one on one there and others have for instance do you spend. Thirty dollars with Heinz company's then today will cover the shipping costs for. Or if you spanned. You know ten dollars on. Ben and Jerry's ice cream then they'd bench area election cover that shipping cost to your home which and that's what we did we annie's if you like any Mac and cheese they said if you spend thirty dollars for the annie's goods then. Your delivery will be free and so. We go through that stuff like wildfire and died and paid for fifteen dollar delivery fees. So. Just so I understand it's a really if you didn't get a subsidy of 25 dollars effectively and ending the tip is voluntary writers choose what you like tip that driver but suggested tip was I think. 5% of the total who total grocery bill so I'd I went with that's a total cost 25 dollars unless you have one of these. You know. And with the time lag from when you place your order to when it comes to your house. I think they can do as immediate as an hour there's probably an additional charge that for me is no rush I said yeah I'd do it tomorrow I ordered yesterday it's coming today. In the afternoon. Sounds less than all hours yet to be home when it's delivered a did not specifically C that's who I am going to be. Home when it's delivered so wasn't a concern for me I would think it kind of depends on watcher ordering. I've done the and is congress should deliver in the past and you did not need to be known just how much time that 25 dollar investment how much time does that say. In our. The east Anchorage. Drive there get through the store the lines at home met somebody have to be home like that I'd that's a sad I don't know if you need to be home not to receive the delivery that would be. You know a person is delivering the BJ's for Kroger I would think you have to be. Home if it went on it if it autonomous vehicle after delivering groceries yet no choice you have to be edited out the car I assume straps of her house. Which is going to be an issue for me yeah I would think the whole point of grocery delivery would be. It just dropping off and I'm not there grab my urgently get home and lesser dues like dead and 8 PM deliveries would be appealing thing for me there aren't letting it. Crow over trying to get into that business and dear guess starting in Houston but then you know glued to Scottsdale Arizona and there you know to try to roll larger scale. Most Irish up chart that. Coming up or be talking about teachers and their knowledge of financial education there's a move. Towards teaching high school students. On personal finance which I think is a great idea. So we'll take a look at that story and then we'll give you an idea as to where interest is trading we are seeing trade school offered interest in this. 2324. Dollar range. And it seems isn't Xoom has backed off a little bit will you be trading news on both zoom in interest. When we come back because four minutes well stocks on the move a lot implement its trust with your pack up. One you've given up control over your home front doors anymore. It and that's not a comfortable feeling if my client I heard a live there. Two if you wanna sell it you can snot York if you do sell where's the money go most of the kids. Nevermind all that there's a huge tax implication that comes from this even if your kids are great kids right. If you watcher how should a year ago thirty years ago you probably paid a little four. Now it's worth a lot. Right and you give it to my touchpad sale was tax free when I sold my house it's tax free except it's not yours you gave it your children this example and that's the problem. And then you give them your basis. And if you give them your cost base that's all that Hilton gain. Is gonna be taxed to the children so that's the tax prop you don't get that tax free sale when you definitely to your kids you don't that's a big bite. Dozens of medical professionals have been charged in an OP Hewlett sting and I'll tell you what this is good news. You can't in the fact that word lose it would use 4050000. People per year to open your deductions there 31 doctor seven pharmacist eight nurses and other professionals. Words were charged mainly in a few states Kentucky Alabama Ohio Tennessee and West Virginia which. Pediatric and two. And in terms of deaths. Did they seem to be going after the low hanging fruit here I mean these were clearly bleach and issues of abuse I mean one doctor was selling prescriptions in exchange for sex the other one was. News. Recruiting prostitutes to become patients one of whom is pulling teeth unnecessarily to Bil to prescribe. He's OP always mean really frightening frightening stuff. Now they beat go to jail and that'll circulate throughout the medical community in who will. People will will hear yeah I was talk not a Doctor Who operates up in. New Hampshire and did does sound like the pendulum has completely swung in the opposite direction he has too far perhaps. Arguably Armenia and presumably there are responsible doctors out there that. Find you know Hewitt are still the best option for some of their patients and he said that getting those prescriptions filled these days. No matter how legitimate they are is next to impossible play he has. Pharmacists they call him every day that's a non prescription reasons it estimates the complaint medical board to get it done. Hold now. Yeah okay it's it's surprising stuff but yeah I mean being the standards on how much of this you can prescribe at a time and the pharmacists you know pushing back on the prescriptions is pretty substantially from from what I understand. Well in the pharmacists are probably doing it out of fear for their own business yeah litigation and they're terrified terrified. He can't blame them. The day in day conversations I've had with the local communities it oh purity diction is a problem. But properly used it's very beneficial to your back surgery. You're you're gonna need some like that view mirror if you have Achilles tendon surgery your brother. And it's you know he he he prescribed OP seats because. I think that's a scares that academy if I have serious injury and do everything I can to avoid it prescribe aspirin or take time prescribed it. I Samsung has a problem so again they just have a tough time with new phones will lose couple years ago and they had the exploding. It was. So this is their brand new 2000 dollar phone it's. Gary really on the edge and it's in the the folding phones or space at the size of a tablet that you can fold up and put in your pocket and sleaze that is a cellphone. A very interesting idea very novel but yet they've found that this is not available for the public they sent a bunch of them to their testers and the ones that they set the testers have just been breaking right left and senator so and these were reviewers are rightly technology via text. Like CNET anti tech reviewers or take a look at these sorts of things are not a great look. They were hoping to bring these devices to market by April 26 switches silence from now I can't imagine that's going to be happening. But he said it is they they gave the company is acknowledged that they've had some problems but they said they were going to market I guess that's next week. That we need this Friday. I mean that that's that's pretty darn soon I can't. Imagine that's gonna happen at a 2000 dollar price point you can not wonderful things don't breaking on one. We had two companies go public today. Interest and zoom. I can give you the latest pricing we have on both of them interest the symbol PI and this is trading it 2452. So it's up 20% Michael. And then zoom I can't believe this price action it's up 27 dollars. Trading up 75%. 6313. That's pretty incredible. That interest IPO prices actually what nineteen dollars a share grossing out yes IPO price action came up to nineteen bucks a share. Trading stared at 2375. And when they learned from list you know list and it took every penny goes on the table via companies both left a lot of money they they did today. Nobody seems to have gotten it just right so far although you know we're still just in day one treating these could very easily go in direction at this point. That didn't really start take. Take its stock price until a few days after. I think it was game in the second third and it wasn't long now it didn't take any advantage these companies have is the market's close to more. That's true people don't think about this movement so you know you're not see any. But then they'll be no new trades made in this until Monday. Oh with that a guy and it's hard for me to say well that's good for the stock that that's just. The fact. The number is nearing an investment deal for their self driving car. Yeah overs trying to push I think a whole bunch of deals through in the next. Really few weeks or month in order to probably just look a little bit more profitable for what we're talking about today which is their IPO. You know so this deal would be selling off part of the self driving car unit that they've poured a lot of money into. So just trying to raise more money and look a little bit more profitable as they head into IPO season so that they don't go the way of left quite frankly. You know the if that's that tree that IPO will be in early me. And we know. Racing. Now but I mean. In terms. Market value you would think that it's going to be somewhere in the five times more than lift ranged from our market cap on list right now it's about sixteen half billion dollars. Hoover's been doing about five times as much revenue if you look at the last few years so I would think that they will be somewhere in that. 9200 billion dollar range. We'll say lot of millionaires being a lot a lot of millionaires being minted these days. Heck of a lot. I mean they're already planned in Silicon Valley Padilla creating a whole lot more these days. Mystic about do's with that's gonna do the roasted pork tennis savviest. It's at least young people under thirty years old. Are cashing in. Stock worth 203040 million dollars. And and there are gonna go and buy a house. It doesn't matter what it costs now not the nearby house they're by Tesla now it's just I'm not sure they're gonna buy that Tesla. And I disagree with you there. Yeah a lot of Tesla is in California there are San Francisco. There are just. You know looking at that brand rate a year and a shell out. Well I think that showed up 35000 dollars for the cheaper answer maybe fifty or 60000 dollar version. I'm still asking myself is that company to be here five years from now it is still services car. Now I know it's it's strange I'm sorry don't let three off too badly here. And we're finally through tax season you know for years we all are familiar with the H&R block. Granted an everywhere but it seems like Turbotax says. Since we changed the mark quite a bit. Is the divergence between these two companies into it owns Turbotax H&R block has its own publicly traded company. Is this just in different extension of the debt hole on line vs brick and mortar trend that we've seen in the last decade. I think there. A lot. You hit it in the near the big guy and more people feel comfortable. Doing their own taxes. And dot. Certainly Greg in his bridge and block it in the original block at a started you locked into that mark you as well but. Right now you're faced with you know a lot of people. Are preferring to do that now owns and I query the Turbotax that it would mean that is why intuit which is a more diversified company that job with act. I can't read a loud and very. Like intuit has surged to about five years while general bloc has really been. You know lock stock with a barely move. Yeah and mayor I would think from a cost comparison H&R block is going to be carried some pretty heavy cost to be you know all of the 121000 different retail locations. And tons of professionals worldwide. What other you talked about you you hinted at those other services that into it has what else are they doing around the edges that seems regenerating some revenue for them. From ever rolling out its own tax preparation software now. What is what's your take on this series it likely to pass and how much money of these companies spent on getting a bill this. They have been they have spent a lot of money lobbying that and it would be I think a significant victory at all. Into it and HR block out because. Right now that the bill that your third minute by our word. Limited you know wow. You know would not let you know people just. In the wilder act it is you know through the ire at having its own kind of online tax prep software Woodward and yet these companies. News bipartisan. Support and if it goes through you without the pink that it eliminates one of the big risks. That won't be out there or both these companies namely that people would cut out there and be into bigger regional bloc. And just filed directly to the Ira or whether or not and not to worry about hitting help on the third. Are right now from not mistaken I think both of these services. Provide a free service if you make under a certain dollar and sixty some odd thousand dollars in income. Yeah I believe that is. That you know something that clearly. A company recognized.
