This is the financial exchange with the very Armstrong and sharks are down. You're exclusive look at business and financial news affecting your day your city your world. Stay informed and up today about an economic and market trends plus get breaking business news every day. And now the financial exchange with the very Armstrong and chuck Exxon. Bernie Sanders began Amazon is raising their minimum wage to fifteen dollars an hour we'll tell you why. And who is this guy Larry cult that's taking over the CEO job GE T yeah. Little bit of a closer look called. And then finally we're going to be talking vote the Internal Revenue Service they're not auditing enough Americans everybody it's Berrian John Moody with you here. It's a Tuesday morning and son of a gun. Amazon. Really stirring the pot with this announcement regarding bare minimum wage I voted for high wage jobs go to Amazon well not quite yet but. Amazon has been under criticism. For their you know lower pay for a lot of jobs that frankly don't feel much. And they've raised the minimum wage to fifteen dollars an hour for all US employees. Another brilliant stroke by Jeff basis who's been under attack from bull. Bernie Sanders on the left Donald Trump on the right and pretty much everybody in between. For a lot of reasons jealousy is one of them liked it I mean he built something he had a vision. And he built something far greater than anybody anticipated. But it begs the question him. Amazon is not a nonprofit. Nodded government organization. Why did they agrees there minimum wage to fifteen dollars an hour I think and it. Well I think there's two reasons one is the real world economy dictates they almost have to because when you have an unemployment rate of under 4% and seven million jobs open on film that are all pretty good. You know you gotta pay up get up and and the bottom line is in Amazon's jobs are requiring that they get better and better workers. The police to think about community competing competing with target. They're competing with UPS. They're competing with Wal-Mart yeah. For workers right and so here goes your going to work for Wal-Mart this morning you're on your way to work. You make eleven bucks an hour and you just heard it Amazon paid fifteen is a matter of fact that there warehouses. If you want to work at night should he might be 181922. Bucks an hour. So are you at some point eight like I don't workers tend to be loyal in the deal's main jobs like it tenure here again vacation time and only job. But at some point. You see yourself which I think and it was absolutely there's not a whole lot of loyalty you can be loyal worker but. If you're making 1012 dollars an hour you're you're going and somewhat obvious you fifteen in you know better working conditions in a better pay package. Believing because you'll fit in defeat and the good news about this economy is it is benefiting. Eat most recent indications are that the lower paid workers are doing the best while they're getting the biggest percentage increase the rest. And that bodes well because if all of a sudden somebody who's making the cheesy example you make eleven bucks an hour Wal-Mart. You quit that job and now you're making fifteen that they just give a fifteen dollar an hour job and Amazon. Aside and four bucks an hour. Times to forty hours you've got more money to spend in the economy and think about a lot of these are second jobs or you know. My husband works or my wife works and makes a big paycheck. I want to get out of the house and bring you a little extra spending money all the sudden election spending money is four dollars an hour times twenty hours times thirty hours. Times a number of weeks in a month and that's. Unskilled workers where we're we're talking about entry level we'll train you workers. If you have some skills you catch it and graduate Amazon would pay you or some of these companies absolutely we're talking about 250000. In his own workers including part time. In temporary employees as well as another. 100000. Seasonal employees in terms of the economy look this is great news for everybody. But in terms of what it means the economy. These dollars go directly into the economy that that's a great point explained speakers. You know the guy that's a year working and your your work in an idea season right. And you get theories for a 250. 300000 dollars that doesn't your 401K. Because that your savings account to pay down your mortgage paid on your mortgage you know just put it the bank we don't spend you don't spend for much of exactly you're lucky I got really rich people. They're ready all the stuff they need. Rick. Warren Buffett still goes to breakfast at. The Lincoln Town Car at any Mikey you just look if you study habits. Of rich people write the adults and that pay increase. When you're making eleven bucks an hour and you go from eleven to fifteen. You're spending every nickel I read an analysis that said a 103%. Of that money goes back to the economy. Meeting all of the raise is spent on on let's be honest in many cases essentials. You know but if if it's discretionary money it's like you know an extra dinner out an extra couple launches out. Going to the polls picked up a couple of extra outfits. Every penny of that goes back into the economy which again has it virtuous cycle of helping everybody so good news. We we would I think questioned the motives perhaps behind this because there's a lot of political pressure now. Coming down against these major technology companies now let's let's be. This for different reasons obviously I mean Bezos did this. Believe this had nothing to do politics this had to do with he's looking act. Just a tumultuous. Christmas season remember last year was no date to be true they had problems there to sell. Thirty to 40% more stuff this Christmas and they did Oscars yes you know they need workers this this. Workers for the first time Johnson's 1999. Have the upper hand absolut was the last time workers guide EU. And 99 it is. You identity gives signing bonuses and ordered higher reception and the downside of this as we do see it reflected in the quality of hell that some lower paying businesses are having to get. My indicator has always been in has been true for 3040 years and every single time it's worked. The quality of the help I get going through the drive through McDonald's tells me everything and didn't want to. John maybe should be good drive through McDonald's for accurately and perhaps but I have found it and boom times. You wait forever they get the order wrong. Right. Put out its amiga 2009. I got better treatment that a five star restaurant and then you know again I I don't mean to make a judgment on that is just the really interesting anecdotal indicator futurists. Were you re caught by surprise that the G you know yeah I was surprised I was glad it happened idea hey you know I hate to speak ill of the departed it. John Flannery so he he he just in and you know why he got fired. Was for my criticism yup the reason ot my criticism of flattery woods. In February or march whenever was he came out and said why I didn't understand that we wrote all this money. For long term care insurance policies whistled back in the ninety's and we right Dan twenty billion. I was furious because I bought the stock in November I thought OK I'll buy in November. New CEO the stock went yesterday in it went from thirty boxed out seventeen says that's the bottom. Right like tetanus or yeah a bit like somebody dropped the sword from the empire building and I tried to catch the game. Well that's debuted you do you didn't buy trucks the read my theory that a winner cockroaches are more Cochran I did not you didn't practice I trusted the CEO this he'll remember. And this is why I want to play in Greece fired back in February. I said hey he told us that everything he is every C rate since she get enough that you blame Irving predecessor. And indeed wash all the bad news. He did. In November. And then. In Oslo well like velvet Pacific and then last week. He goes to the board and says oh you know I forgot about the power division and you know another 23 billionaire the board said screw. I eat the that the board was furious. I think you're right I mean the bottom line is that if we can defend Flannery the argument here is that he was too deliberative. That's the TV generous way of describing what you just described. And so he was deliberative. He's been slow and excusing the plan now he's been slow in divesting some of the industries and businesses that wanna get out of the restructuring is behind plans now. The argument in his defense is that he's talking about literally restructuring entire large company. And he wants to be carefully gets it right when he wants it is that the board of guy by nature. The board feels like they need someone to step in. Take charge in the stuff that he wanted to do we need to do yesterday you know so the argument for GE is. Whatever their plan is it's rolling into high gear ASAP in if you look at the track record of Larry Culp yes let's talk about Larry Culp he comes over. He the he actually took a seat on the board of directors. In eat me. Earlier this year OKE beat his record at the end her is amazing is it he was fourteen years CEO. I look at the stock chart Mary it was literally a straight line up with no tips for fourteen straight years. He increased the value that company from. Nine point seven billion when he took over 250 billion dollars when he left in fourteen years yet. He's 11 of the largest science and technology conglomerates in the world then and he did an unbelievable job. The first Torre left in there that's exactly what it is like this mid fifties I think he's got 55 years old and he has a track record that would make. NEC DO jobless. Why he was immediately available and why he was instantly dinners is Imus got bored it's Healy contributed to ready dominated yet been there done that. Now and he sees this as an opportunity to do something really big I mean this is a great historic American name in General Electric Miley criticisms is that he teaches at Harvard. Half a you'll hold that everybody is teach there anymore. But Larry I got no I think he's he's got a real job now and he has an unbelievable track record. And investors are definitely viewing this favorably but well so that that's the talk about that RBC raised their price target fifteen. But to stuff over JPMorgan stock hasn't ten. While yeah I mean now maybe there's more cockroach I and the stock. I actually owns them via sold mine yet well you did a good at I've hit the ball nice day I was so furious and I just off. They wrestled. You know this is one of those value traps that I I criticized myself for buying it because it is. It was cheap but I I really penalize and I guess that you liked the guy how many and so maybe it worked out I I yeah hopefully it will work out and hopefully for Boston works out because if that meant. Charlie Baker fifty of the bridge and be given the keys to the city. I heard Charlie talking missile it was a lot of important green businesses and you know it's like okay. For the PC stuff these guys got some issues yes Larry -- we wish you well. For many reasons especially for a drug does. I committed a cult too about how all look at by and the stock but I know see what he's gonna do. Is within the next ninety days he's proud and cut the dividend yup and he's gonna say all my predecessor sucked. And I had a rain awful this you know another fifty billion whenever they like it to you that tax cut beauty of the week that it's the kitchen sink that you expected under pat Flannery a straight up fired. For the annual kitchen sink at general elector or eat you gotta do it yeah S and hopefully call the Smart enough to get all the bad stuff to talk about raising equity. You know they sell more shares unthinkable and unbelievable yes so again though Larry Culp on the job great history great record. And now one thing we know is we will see stuff hitting the fan real quick fact that. Because he's committed to not being as let's deliberative yet John Flannery was with the take coming up we'll be talking about the Internal Revenue Service nobody's getting audited lots of people are cheating on their taxes should the IRS be auditing more American taxpayers that's our next topic on the financial exchange. We wanna hear from you. Tech Steward diaries 263566. And let us know what you think about the stories we disguise your team to the financial exchange radio network. Designed for those of you who are landlords in used to collector checks with paper checks are gosh maybe still do. Will Z rent allows you'd collect checks electronically. Jail is hoping he could spend a little bit of time explaining how easy grant works and why it's a big advantage for landlords. Absolutely buried so we we develops he rained two out of me the whole race because right now. You know with the landlord when you're getting to rain checks in the mail it's low it's unpredictable. You missing envelope line mostly waiting he might not get all the rent until the tenth or fifteenth of the month furthermore if your landlord on vacation in your rinsing your notebooks and so would you rate does is it really digitize is no. It makes the ranked electronic payments it allows for me cheering for multiple roommates and apartments that's great if you're renting at the college student absolutely. It's predictable it comes at the same time every month. And it's all on me. So the landlords who have been using assisting huge time savings and ornaments you are you still giving the first six months free for landlords the first six months or free and then in addition to that. Stuck with the Barry Armstrong and shots gonna fix the financial exchange on the financial exchange radio network. Have you ever gone through. The Internal Revenue Service audit I'm raising my hand because I have and it's one of the more unpleasant experiences that person didn't enjoy too much. Now the the you know they live what happens is if you haven't gone through a field audit with the iris. They come to your office. They park in when he conference rooms in my case it was one week. You pay your accountant. To come and sit with them in answer questions and provide documentation. Is my accountant bill was I think. Ten grand for the for the week because there's a debt to accounts and of one to sit with the iris of wonder retrieve documents. And then used DN do you get a bill. Both from the accountant in the Internal Revenue Service for whatever you'll in the Irish several Oxley says Alia irony perfect. You know your fine. That that's how not works the problem is my audit was action twenty years ago or them. The virus is not in the not as nearly as often. They're pursuing fewer cases of tax evasion quite a few fewer than they did just ten years ago. And the concern here and we've talked about this before when you talk about cutting budgets in this is in the discretionary budget which everything of discretionary budget. Is under attack for obvious reasons. This is something that's been cut and the argument in favor of the iris budget is it is money that comes back to the taxpayer. Many times over it's like one of the few budgets where you spend money as a taxpayer. And you get back a lot more when ill fortune was that she'd. Righty here so many people. Cheat on their taxes. And they look at it may know the odds rate if if your make and 235 million bucks a year Yunel all the viruses in the autumn because it avenue it's that and and the audit staff is being reduced their not a secret right well we're talking this but this is a top secret information now iris not really auditing people. And do the senate budget cuts the iris was forced to reduce its enforcement staff by a third him met many fewer cases will be done look. They basically get rid of their criminal investigations lately like the beach slashed the budget for criminal investigation so. Your your odds of getting caught. As a tax cheat are markedly less today than they were twenty years ago in all we can say is that in my opinion at least the legal and ethical Russian roulette that you want to play here in even though the odds are very much in your favor. He is a game that you probably should not play and that's it that's an argument that we make both legal and likely ethical reasons and want to sleep at night do you supposed to pay your bill. And this is a controversial case because look we we understand the iris abuses we've all seen the stories. Of their heavy handed manner. But they deal with a lot of people in your you're guilty to proven innocent. Yeah you tell you firsthand it's an awful experience so you're you're wrong until you prove yourself right. It works the opposite way of margin judicial system's most operate. That said. You know if we penalize them by not funding them we are basically empowering people who were cheaters. Visited ever bring to light though. The need for revamping of the tax system and just do. Acts or war gross receipts tax. Something that's not hard that you are the reason people cheat uses the bloody conflict correct it to file your taxes now. I mean if if you have a complicated return multiple businesses you wouldn't dare do it on girl right. And so you end up in you you pay all these accountants and tax attorneys spend thousands of dollars every year on the I'd I'd much prefer to just say every time I buy a soda is a 10% tax I have no income pregnant get abolish all income taxes. Abolish I guess he keep property taxes and they just have one simple tax either gross receipts or value added tax and in and it's not. All these tax returns is it natural fraud comes in and think about the cost. Think about how much money and time we spend on tax returns you know we didn't have you know what nineteen trillion dollar debt via in nearly a billion trillion dollar deficits that were working on for next year. That's on the way to look at unfortunately we do need to get all the revenues we can't I'm not saying get rid of an attack tortures or at least I'm not sure of that would be it will replace the income well that's the problem the numbers don't really add up. I agree with you conceptually a lot to go about Hewitt tax it just seems like we spend so much time in India will be tax loopholes I don't know break it you think you know. And and you can and you try to get rid of loopholes you create even more of an issue and don't get rid of the deductions and we've seen that with with with the trump proposed a banquet everybody's paying the same right embraced pain at 10% after fifteen I don't care. This is that. Get rid of these income tax so it drive you crazy but in the left and say you know the return paying their fair lie I know right in the nets that's the problem so instead of an easy everybody spurred but the more stuff you buy the more tax you pay so I would argue that. If you will to do. And you're buying a yacht. And an expensive house and a lot of expensive stuff that's got that bad on your gonna pay a lot more fat. Then a working class person who's paying for basics and most of that proposals I've seen. Would exclude things like groceries. And essentials. So you could do you could devise one that would that be a lot simpler than we have but. Every attempt I've seen a tax simplification. Has complicated that even more a look at what percentage of congress are attorneys right. Nader. Who significantly TV you're gonna get rid of my profession and that and then what would happen with the economy if we eliminated financially as nations like I was stuff. Should the IRS be funded to a greater degree is our poll question today can vote on apple. By visiting our web site is financial exchange showed dot com coming up. You know back the statistics I I actually you'll have a good night I held the stock and so ultimately got up to like 45 as this is not fit that but. They have a heck of a business. They make you. You face value calls. And in the markup on clothing to. Is. It's you you you measure it in multiples right rightly get these they set the 200 dollars of holes and it's about the average price of your box of clothes unity get five or six items. And use east and 2250. Bucks. On those items and it's you know it's shorts pants did. My peace talks. It any number of different items. But the fit per person. That bit by stylist as you get your own personal stylist right right. So I've my own personal stylist and and I'd be back with my stylist innate tell them what colors I liked what kind of actions. And things like that. And they say new box clothes that fit your wife doesn't. Yeah because. That was that was my motivation of it was give me crap all the time you look like a bomb everything you have has writing on it and if you have a clean T shirt and he. And now. Or is she likes the stuff about how is the value about it I mean hires a bit that's really underestimate the source hot and make money doing that can think of pain isn't about you write is I haven't. But John that the that the news. Like the markup on the clothes the of those stores top right right so they just said because of the ice I I spent 2300 bucks on. The clothes every two months and what does it cost them twenty bucks maybe 230. Yeah they do in terms of actually the cost of the clothing and other technology technology costs and things like that. The clothing the market. But if you look at her sneakers. That cost new doubts at all twenty to the sneakers and they sell to us for 75 threw rocks yeah yeah same thing with calls right blue jeans shirts. The mark sweetly but sure you're weren't now's probably like 6070 dollars and yeah I cost a dollar twenty to make. I hit that but still expects is still a middleman so to speak. And they can't get that shirt for a dollar or the needle payment for that he's really look at that al-Qaeda. Look at their balance try it here where they're spending their money is on client acquisition and so he might look at it and say well this is just another blue apron. The leader of the term rates and that's what I thought the they don't have as bad churn rate as your blue apron because people currently. Right oddly I I I don't wanna like now I have my clothing. Casual clothing issue is is history and afterward. So you're you're saying that that let's say it's a 5050 dollar sure you get the fits perfectly that you love. You're saying that they can get that your for dirt cheap at their pain and maybe. I'll bet you their market is at least ten times. So the genes they sell me for fifty bucks it cost them. Because they're not aware they are they getting the genes are they are they going to Wrangler and saying we're gonna give you all don't mean. It's all we have yet these are like big name though these these no brand names on any of this stuff really yeah. It's an all its high quality well it's they're actually better Claudia and I and I thought all the are I tell him what to Detroit Tucker didn't like. Nine here. What white wedding you like because my stylist could not have been more pop off with what ever quest of all that you see that you desk are your fault you know wasn't yet don't you you have to spend time with your styles. Like I I spent time which are signing Internet or they send you a an email. Yeah and you click through different colors they don't like yeah and I did styles of quilts you know that you might like and that to demand would they send you stuff. The you to take a survey at the conclusion of that have yet to check out right. When you check out you say. Well this was good quality bad quality and with their big fear is east and stuff back. That's Alia says he's been stuck back our soccer and I sent all fired right back hazy and I I just for particulates psyche I can set one thing back. And I always rely on hand that I have and I have worn everything they sent. Are you easily pleased yes OK yeah I think. I I made good custom advocate of statistics is is very grateful to have Barry Armstrong among their clientele however the stock itself is getting. Gets clobbered what's backed down on my buy it again OK I sold it I I've bought 130 sold it like 4445. And and I might because I do like. The you know it's kind of like put Peter Lynch toss him buy you know I like right Alec. I like the surf they're still grow and they just this it's like the criticism of Amazon. You know all say they missed they didn't make any profit. At like 25% a year right in right to tricks has grown 23% a year yeah I mean people do like it and like you said that the the criticism here is that the stock price is gotten way and it puts him and that is that that's why I sold in that and that's the way the IPO market is acting answer right now by the which is a warning sign for people to I've participated in the IPO market. On cocky to say but the greater fool theory thinking that you know I can by throwing for twenty insult the thirty is worth them right you shouldn't play the game regularly right now unfortunately that's going on in the stock market. Little bit of a warning sign a lot of profit was companies selling for a lot of money right now. You know I know that many view who listened to my show are retired nearing retirement age. Stock I won't be buying is Harley-Davidson. They're used in the three used Harley-Davidson's John are sold in the United States for every new one that sold a decade ago. It was the other way around new motorcycle sales in the United States are down by one half. For me 2006. Peak. While used motorcycle sales are up 13%. A couple of major factors working against her early one is a secular trend of fewer people riding bikes he'd it's a double meals yeah they're not they're not writing them in the numbers of baby boomers did at all. But also just like autos that used to market easy increasingly attractive. High quality will build bikes to last a long time are available. At increasingly. Bigger discounts to the expensive new horror at least the new. New words go over between eighteen and 25000 dollars each you buy a great one for like ten grand yet certainly under 151000 dollars you can buy. A mint Harley. Because I'm actually thinking about buying one really and other. A gig actually running around your stitch itself how fast or somebody you always complains about all the techsters on the Rogers you pretty copper and buying a motorcycle archer. I used to have a bite. He worked used to used to go battle space that are in college road. You know I cannot say yet title bootable. So I think risk reward as a I don't know I've already had a lot of fun. It is body has a lot of miles on it by check out tomorrow. I've. Lhasa has risen ringing endorsement of the of them the motorcycles and I just threw it right you guys are written mill and never will. I've not in it to me you have. It's our goal all have a brain also fond look at the the size of the other things that are on the road. And then look at that nobody and I ideals are at. Like your writing on the road at seventy miles an hour with. No protection but it's really whatsoever it's all look at the originally and there are a human life and life is good it's very got. The hot blonde thing. And the it yet it was OK good to yourself lucky. Prop caller of the day I had to walk away from the onslaught stable and I haven't holders and the balance stick to a stitch Ericsson. Don't get it changed my statistics orders like it's right now the all leather jacket to highlight its products they. Yeah in a and you won't send it back which we decide by Hartley and buy an used. Well yeah they're coming out of an electric bike to see that yeah ice ice that I mean in an open there is still a huge mark. And the people who like motorcycles too low partly it is the gold standard for motorcycles but there's having a very difficult time right now. And you know the stock has got hit real hard and that I've seen that 45 bucks in there under political pressure you side of the president coming out against the without passing he's I think it's criticism there's somewhat unfounded I mean they're talking about makings bikes overseas so there have to pay the terror right as he'd like -- at the tightly duo and why wouldn't you do that and what they make for consumption the United States they would still they've drilled in the united stats exactly eighty. Like some of his first criticisms towards companies are very valid yet that I think his criticism towards these completely and found. I agree because they would love to be able to make Alder Harley's right here right at the Germans were charged in the taxi trusted it make him hear ya made it and I don't want them in Asia the age they're doing it because they have to to avoid the other countries taxes but he's imposing on americans' attitude but even of all that's worked out well they are working against the secular trend which is fewer people are riding bikes and fewer people buying new ones. And so that's that's a problem too with with a lot of automotive industry right now we're at the newer cars are getting a lot of competition for those really actual condition to win three year. Viewed as a planet the only thing that I will not be buying a new car agency Bynum hours. Bo abide abortion but when I need Bible's new car I have the same time. Maybe the economy and maybe you can have less money I spent that stitch picks up a Obama's wild spending going that's very well you'll go around one I know you know I like this talk about you know behavior. Cushing and old guy for the month of October called Medicaid income trusts. Todd I have to confess the average person. Is not going to know win the trust documents they have are right or wrong the need to rely on whoever their tourney would be. What should they be looking for when selecting an attorney to draft. And Medicaid income trust or an asset protection trust you know their I think that's the best question ever because you're right they don't know as much as we try to educate them. It's just too hard the language is too technical. And and people aren't gonna know one player and others so when you're looking to hire a lawyer to do this. I think one you should find out if they spend a 100% of their time. Doing this they play the taxes estates trusts you know that's it. If they're busy running their personal injury court we can't keep opera you know it's hard enough for me to keep up. And I total time. But also make sure on their card when you get their card that you see the letters LL them after their name. That usually means that they have a masters in legal letters and taxation mean certainly need that need to understand taxes when you're drafting trust you do unfortunately that from personal experience. And lastly I would say when you leave the meeting you know what you want to have a flat fee. Right when note it's gonna cause you don't wanna be billed you know by the hour for this work exactly and when you leave that you had a great understanding of what was done you're not asking more questions. Kindergarten yet jump to the company and this fish oil capsule what it's all about. They're so every computer has won grip critical thought occur and that depict the purified fish oil being part of click on the market and Tibetan. Well and really there's a big debate around whether or not it actually help people live longer and harder that have been a great though. We knew that it will trickle throughout the patient equity loan period hiring within that matter into your life then. Which really worth the time and money to do it with something was up for debate the. Anderson now I I've dealt with high triglycerides myself and I know people who also deal with it. And I was under the presumption that triglycerides were even a bigger problem and cholesterol but you're saying that was not scientifically proven. Well yeah carpet and so nobody. And there's an intervention you think about. You know he would probably the problem that look like it we have animal model to click that and create new with this company at which the 2000 pollution video poker. It's accepting your yet finished but. Over a long period of time actually measured the number artifact the number of debt the number of you know issues along those lines going to the hospital you don't know for sure know it could be that you know about a cup and they close stroke we that and though. This is that it really took. Very hard look at it with real and point the people are. Her neck until. Exit and that Cameron stock as we reported took topic tripled in very short period of time but. This is not exactly diversified company Ameren this is the wrongly product right. Yet they're on the product and I think that was holding back to back for a long time I mean to give you the look like it eat your fish oil a lot of people debated in a beta it was. The public and a lot of years getting. Sound like you're on the product and an end all that but they did it. And then there's this this trial hanging over at where you what it didn't work with anyone get treated for it to maybe the drug doesn't go way back. Become extremely large and small and president having the potential you market open to them now it could've been public closed the. So we've learned that triglycerides. Are in fact a potential real problem for people in terms of cardiovascular risk. Yeah we've learned that fish oil can help that situation writes it's kind of a two pronged thing that we've come across the border on. Yeah and on the second crown up out there you into one of the reasons people were very skeptical that other patrol car failed at that. The similar to that thing and market of people either they're out the argument that we didn't expect the security meant a lot. Rationale for decrepit. It was a purified form a certain technical yeah day. And that that is really concentrated in the peculiar speaking and it's really cure it and have a different impact on on survival and and benefit for the Asian that this is really testing that. I thought that this is the one right to vote intervention network not just you know we go to these yet again or yup you in the Southern Europe called the that was. Meat in there so the strip. Hitting it really surprising though a lot of people that correlate a huge stock. Joseph did you like the stock it's a small stock you view what are your thoughts for the stock emirate. Yes so before that came out either become a support our company is entrapment at what we would be interviewed doctors talk about. The department being done a potential market that and so we did that call what a PD cardiologist in the summer. And we know what eight to pick gonna work and yet it how lucky you. What we've got the they're really. The market an enormous that it and the fact that they hit you pin point with such tangible benefits the patient is really no telling if that. In the car at the limit out of here in the number of American that alone people all over the world you have that issue Joey can't even if you're out that you know you're gonna need more intervention. Really you don't. At a time thank you very much John McCain for seeking alpha. Great great story you know we reported that a little over Wi fi goes stock was ten bucks now it's 572. While they're already risen yeah yeah I got from three to ten rises that buy it when we reported missing ten we'll be back in a few. Well it really is a challenge because you don't have the fixed income options that we used to CDs bonds were yielding 567%. That does not here anymore and wanted to take our treasuries like 310. In one of the real challenges I think is being able to keep up with inflation if you're an instruments that are only yielding two or 3% and so the conventional wisdom is hey you take your rates attractive from a hundred and that's how much equity exposure you should have I don't know that necessarily holds true for everyone today simply because if -- in a portfolio that sixty or 70% bonds I think you might struggle with keeping up with inflation over the next couple decades what about factoring in what you're living expenses are how does one do that yet to make sure the have a budget put together before handed figuring out what you actually need and what your retirement looks like it's a big thing that you need to figure out are you gonna move to lower cost of living area of the certain expenses that falloff. And today about economic and market trends plus get breaking business news every day. And now the financial exchange with the very Armstrong and chunks. And. Today on Wall Street today Dow's up eighty points but the NASDAQ is off seven. Tesla shares are downward talk about tussle today across gonna talk about the new NAFTA deal between yards was called the new NAFTA deal. But we will. And then we're gonna talk about votes. It would work I. I guess that's enough. I was stuck in the sense that everybody you play a good test there is a lot. It tests a story talk about the whole hour I mean they delivered 83500. Cars. In the third of those Rick Perry moments number. There's three things on my talk about it and imports and cost of the presidential election apple and third when he couldn't remember and that's all remember about the organized for that. It's really good points he forgot the third so we must. Have been but we figures mark despite the fact I don't really care I. You badger Rick Perry moment and move on Tesla delivered 83500. Vehicles in the third quarter. Pretty impressive. At 80% more than they delivered all of last year soul is terrible lose but the fact is. Do that wearing quite a few cars and there are expected to be. The bull this quarter they had college interns. Driving the car people's homes to deliver them. While the weekend until and they popped champagne on site at 88 it was literally. Everybody all this this is a software engineer. Yeah who's in turning it over Tesla. And they had this kid. Driving cars people's homes dropping them off collecting the money or whatever you know this transaction was but that's howl. On board everybody was to hit their goal stocks down they Evian down 1% today. We still are waiting on the news. You know who's going to be the chair right. Date that yeah that's what I wanna I wanna but the chairman is and who these two new board members will likely Wall Street feels good at that chairman is not going to be Ilan mosque because me Ilan mosque Wall Street and investors wanna see him doing what he dues were does really well. Which is acting like a genius being creative helping to run the company operationally. The other stuff how do you like to be his boss. You would not be his boss and he's that the chair that's it theoretically your rate is as chairman of the board. The whole hierarchy is okay we're bringing new Ian let's see if wrought from all just for kicks you right. You're coming in your job is to rein in this guy. But here's the problem that guy owns a third of the shares yup that guy is the reason for your company the reason why they have the same valuation as General Motors and it's probably slightly higher than General Motors right now. Even though they don't even make that many cars in General Motors makes millions. The reason for that valuation is one reason and one reason alone. E'Twaun boss he don't know add jobs you know all of the chairman John how I've got even worse job for. What I'd like to be the guy or gal. It has to filter news Twitter and the fact that I think that I gotta I won't be easy he said between gotten sick now like that electricity you send it back. Yeah that would be that we have any of those do you think you go through here. A lot and at strange times to that's the thing about Elon Musk but the than that it's gonna make his job of board chairman A rather challenging job. Is the fact that any. Elon Musk didn't wanna do this and basically he's doing it at the point of a gun. And secondly it's only temporary for three years in three years Ilan mosque will be back. With though running the whole show again maybe not you know he might look at the same three years say. I built this thing kind of what you do PayPal right center built it. Cashed in my chips sold the company are sold my shares in the company and are moving on to my next endeavor. And that's that would be the whole boring company like get boring kind of guy he is yah your right knee he's a creator and inventor Ugly Betty the car business I suspect in three years. I I out three years from now he's he's kind of pad is now. He maybe you know more look he he literally is doing you know looking at the space and creating you know space vehicles. To do tunnels that. This brings me a question that I thought about you when I saw this story about the trouble that mosque was in with the government and I couldn't believe. That he turned down a sweetheart deal and say look you really screwed up. With that tweet about saying good financing which you didn't and you work culpable here fraud. The government basically said look we'll let you off the hook up if you just do this as slap on the wrist. And he turned it down and I thought to myself that's crazy that I thought to myself I want to ask you this question. I think Ilan mosque realizes that we need Elon Musk more than he needs us if you're the US government. You can piggyback. Your space program. On the back of a guy named Elon Musk you don't need to be spending a couple trillion dollars a space exploration. You could say Ilan. Can we go along for the ride. Do we want Elon Musk to seek asylum in China right. Would that we cannot get from South Africa wouldn't that be a massive loss so for us right I think you love my red and government financed test. Right they're there for it actually get their 500 million if we lost SpaceX in Tesla you don't lose that's a national security. I think he's. I actually give the guy credit I think he realizes the government needs him more than he needs the government and oh by the way what does the government do. After the stock got slaughtered. In Moscow like well it's too bad Deborah came back to do what we can make this work. I I know he said go to the deal. But let's kind of get let's let's make this work I think we need him more than he needs us an interest in theory they. Ten things to know about that NAFTA deal to tie the a lot of abilities is being made over this deal and then I looked at him and not much different. I said this. Takes us. I like it we went from having access to. Two point 85% of Canada's dairy market dipped to three point 15 or correct that we still don't have access to dairy market. And actually problem the bit to give up like zero point five Raleigh up there like ordering another trouble it. The the one thing that that's actually. Pretty good there is especially from a national security standpoint news. Our cars now have to add 75%. Of their parts made in North America. And that's going to be phased in over five years but I do like the idea if certain things that I think we. Dished to places where we've. Extended and and offshore. Production that are dangers on giving example right. You your kids ever have struck through you when their program. You know all that stuff comes from China really. Bull who had did not know that so. Imagine elect eat where to trade world trying to write the do we really wanna get into it like. We we don't make any of that stuff for her reasoning correct so we you know that's that's a whole separate issues very important. Stephanie I know you talk about the fact 75% of lot of components must be built in North America. Right now the requirement 62 and a half percent rights except that I looked at as being pretty significant. I would say to present trop okay it's a win put that in the win now it's incremental and his big increment even and it's phased in over five years. Doesn't tell you how big a business theory is though that there was this much squabbling about that now and both sides are saying while this is a really big deal. Theory is a pretty big business yeah well of course we need about everyday user levered idea geez you know. And yeah exactly and oddly dairy is a big deal. And we've made some progress and that's a that's good yeah. Thought that an issue that kind of and that was epic deal but apparently is that 45%. Of workers. Must make sixteen dollars an hour or more. Strike me as a very onerous pay that's a big deal in Mexico. True that's bats were coming up in jobs him. The Mexican workers. And you know it may be hasn't candidate in the US everybody's making over sixty write that in Mexico every ethnic and five troupe he and I wonder if that does something to. Well basically the civil war that's going on in Mexico made in Mexico he talked about violent place like don't go there via just it's just don't. But I also wonder if in Mexico would be that affected by it because if we. How all the workers in Canada and we count all the workers in the United States. In the and we had they have huge factories true. And also does have a at the margin this could keep a lot of jobs going down there in the future I think that's the big concern after a hectic from Mexico's perspective the days there they're looking at it missing the one thing and I'll mention well. The average price the new car. Over 36000 bucks now yeah and that brings suspect to this is this is that NAFTA deal. That we negotiated is gonna make cars you'll be long before the average price of the new vehicles 44. And no one's gonna book him. While they're not Bynum I don't know if they keep you look now. An ever he's like my next car is going to be used vehicle yeah I'm not gonna spend that kind of go on a new car well that's spread between the new car and a high quality used cars. Use it now a very very substantial spread and it's it's moved a lot of people to be used car market. Particularly with some of these really high quality releases we have low mileage and in the low miles. Next topic that we're gonna talk that talk about issue is. China. And how they systematically pride technology from US companies saw this story. Yes it was last week sought but we're going to be joined by Bob Davis. And Bob's going to explain to us. What try it look at a pressure. China exerts on American companies that want to do business in China Starbucks comes to generate big company that does a lot of business in China. He basically. They've got him over a barrel will talk about that would Bob Davis Wall Street Journal next opening its exchange. Have a question for Berrian junk now you can text us at 63566. We hear a lot about so called intellectual theft the truth is that China has been stealing technology from the United States. In many forms Bob Davis wrote about this for the Wall Street Journal Bob thanks for joining us today. Bob DuPont suspected they had a problem that they were victims were explained was what happened. Well coupon that produces this. Product that pay the make from corn what it is is that. Textile fibers carpet congressman Condit make Koren. It's one of their big products. They had a joint venture license agreement the Chinese company. It out that the Chinese company had to. Taken their technology. And started producing it on their own. They went to arbitration about that and as this is all going on there antitrust China's antitrust. Our regulators came and then busted them basically. Four days. You know interrogations. Kitty passwords for. There international. Are indeed all in this or an effort under pressure. I'd coupon to elect knows day to day. Against the Chinese partner. So it is there isn't much that companies can do to protect against this kind of intrusion it sounds like. There's not a lot of help out there for them. Well straight up I mean you know there's number I think she can do I mean DuPont. Tried to go through their legal system of the arbitration system that. Really wasn't working they could take it to the US government in the US government to make you be case that it was. The Chinese. They chose not to do that some companies have chosen to do that. That downside is retaliation and the company's overwhelmingly. US companies strong companies are overwhelmingly. Our freighter Chinese retaliation and says data on. They don't talk publicly about their problems including economy in the uses very typical reporting to punt didn't come to us in complained just. They just kind of deal with it yet again and go watch how how widespread do you believe us is very hard to estimate but. How widespread do we believe intellectual theft is. Would it end in which industries are most vulnerable. Well it has been widespread I mean. This isn't necessarily that sometimes it's pressure you know you have here American company this hot new technology. You know in order to get access to the Chinese market you have to do you know explain it show of the year Chinese partner had a how to make a product or I used it's technology and so I wouldn't call that theft in the usual sort of sense that the word. But they could call coercion and about wind and ties. US companies complain about that they've faced this kind of problem. And it's you know it's been accompanied of course to board really I mean you know any campaign you who's involved in. Is that technology be is that sort you know the Chinese firms. Understandably want to get their hands. What's interesting to me though is companies don't seem willing to go all the way in fighting this like you said DuPont. Kind of you know complained about their set and then at some point that has dropped the ball so well that's just the way you do business with China. Right admitted they didn't get a lot of help in US to seek them out yourself. Yes and again I mean give time to. Wouldn't have much preferred that we can do this story. No I mean me I am. You can so let me KK in contrary example my eye technology which makes computer chips they've taken a very different strategy. They have this ongoing case against a Chinese companies that paid believe issues in the Chinese courts distances. Get ahold of their patents what happened is our currency in the US. Kind of judgment against this Chinese companies Chinese companies and turns around immediately. He's. Micron for the same patents they get to judgment in China didn't what happened that means my car can't salad China. So this sort of thing happens a lot there you know hometown courts basically that do you know due diligence just sort of on the county judgment. And my card to tap public animated and very public about it but they're very unusual to their gamble is that. Putting public pressure. On China will make a difference and they figure less than every other company pretty much. As they are out there rather worked out very well for them so let's try you know let's try to keep up with that is very unusual. Yeah is there any reason for hope that things might get better. If we get you know undo renegotiated arrangement on trade and tariffs. With China that we can use the leverage for you know getting more business in return for you know clamping down on us. Yeah I think here I'm sure I think that there is. You know some hope. You know meaning term restoration Chinese parent stated bludgeon the Chinese and it is stopping these practices. We'll see how that works the the there are there. I mean that's one way another way is trying to put together. A coalition of countries. To act. Yes hey you know there's an off basically and and the way it's backed up could be backed up in part by task there also. What would happen what we get to Chinese detention is this foreign companies started pulling out of China. Or or when they were expanding expanding. Instead of expanding in China expanding. Elsewhere doesn't mean they come back to the US. Depends on kind of the product and technology that even if they. Move some of that operation. Is Vietnam or wherever Mexico. It would still be out of China and that would make it harder for the Chinese. Developed in the would develop its economy in the way the Chinese want so that would be. That would be probably the then most precious to be put on put on China. Great perspective Bob Davis with the Wall Street Journal thank you very much that report appreciated sure. You know the other aspect T Bob did a great job yeah mate thank you differs contribution. The the other aspect it never gets talked about news. You Golan to college campus in the United States. And it's filled with a lot of Chinese kids Scalia and many of them if there is a story out of Boston college and I don't know Boston College rule. Validating naught but we're Chinese national. Was there and basically downloading. All of the content from the Boston College library on line unbelievable and they caught him. Neatly cut the student. They told him to stop him and he didn't stop and they finally. Excuse him from school dismissed him from college he neat they just have a different personally it's a different culture and over there. Theft from us is OK I don't understand how we can be culturally acceptable. To just steal things from Americans and they think that there's something okay with. Intellectual part we don't I mean each other late evening and I and it's like they're stealing money your cars are physical tangible things. They just have this feeling that if it's out there and its intellectual. I can happen is he right field that way it's part of their culture and it's not like left him and if it's causing her problems and that's. You know if you wanna be like I I think NAFTA debacle was ridiculous and same thing with the Europe via. But the Chinese won the more I read about what they do way they behave. I I I depart trump I'd slap a 50% tariff on everything they export ports to the United States it's a school. You know decent but the real world rules are yet daddy he say he needs play hardball up. Regarding retirement income and chuck it strikes me you know we go to work every day we put money and are 41 K plans typically it's going into. Mutual funds or exchange traded funds that we're using to accumulate wealth. During our working years are high earning years. That whole equation changes once we retire and we hit age 6570. And we say cheap son of a gun I need to take some income from a powerful. Yeah it it really does change and specifically war go to Morgan income generation mindset and it's difficult today because if you look at a lot of the ways that people historically did that CDs yielding 5%. Bonds yielding five or 6% her you don't have those tools available anymore seat need to make sure that you're still adapting your portfolio to the new demands of retirement. But you need to make sure that using the right instruments and so that can be combination of dividend paying stocks. It can be equities that you simply think gonna grow and pull little principal off there. As well last in the right mix of bonds they can generate some income as well what about municipal bonds that's something to people years. It is of particular fewer in a high income bracket it's something that a lot of people use that we tend to target simply because the tax efficiencies you gain there can be significant if you like it. Google is going to launch a driver let's taxi service in Phoenix Arizona. For the next three months. No question about that and I'll wave Mo is the name of the company that says subsidiary that Google homes. They're playing the launch a public commercial service without anyone in the driver's seat. Not an experiment they're actually in a row without. And that's like to be a taxi driver in Phoenix or limo driver in the probably standing by saying let's see this work. Probably nervous that it it does or I'll think about it right they if you're Hoover would isn't over driver 75% of the gross. Is that and I'm mature and gets it or is so he take out that driver right. And I'm just thinking what Google could do a undercut prices like say you. Live in Sun City and you're going to the airport and that's normally hundred dollar ride you know and tax your level right. Well what's gonna cost you grew 5025. A B. Google gesture of it is in the hole cost the service is the employees at Google I could Cooper out of business. As they roll this now the gonna have to that it did they're going to be a big perk serve cars. Because you know the nice thing is who were basically piggy backs. Off of other drivers owned vehicles race. They offer arrangements for the drivers but it's very expensive yes if you wanna use one of their vehicles and is very prohibitive so yeah they're gonna become much. Well you can see though the auto industry. There are really cozying up to them because they realize that could be a huge source of their future revenues while and you think about the company's that if you know they're trying to catch up. Tesla had a number of accidents on the road. Hooper told them in the in Phoenix yet know exactly and so you know there there is still you know the history here that things haven't always worked out quite perfectly and in the experimentation phase of this. It'll be used to see how this rolls out and how effective it is I I still think there are major obstacles. To fully autonomous vehicles in the United States for a lot of reasons I've I continue to believe that we're gonna become increasingly. Autonomous. And maybe three quarters autonomous or 95% autonomous. But getting there with driver was I just think is going to be. A tough road to hold reported I wanna see what happens I think Phoenix is a great. Market to look at its huge city yuppies you know we've got generals did populations got to be we think is one of the top ten cities. In the country in terms of population. Aaliyah and if you can all the sudden drive the cost of a taxi ride down by 50%. You're put their but he had a business yet I mean this would be major game changer. But again there there were logistical challenges here in and I think the whole world will be watching just to see how well this works. California Rhode Island West Virginia. Kentucky and Florida suffer from the most OP you lead abuse this according to fair held the New York based nonprofit. I you know the OP you only problem. He's not going away yet it's estimated that you talk about economic impact obviously the cultural impact is devastating. A 500 billion dollar annual cost to our economy remember these are people who have jobs these are people who mostly very productive good people there. Who. Are stuck with absolutely horrible situation and you Edward island being in the top four. He is is so port the NF challenges John TV once you're hooked missed them. You've changes a person no question and your your you know that Princeton University dinner Bay's Vincent college. The they did a study. A boat drug addiction chemical dependency. And the impact it's having on labor participation because how long we talked about I was hugely labor participation rate is still. Low when you make all kinds of excuses and say well it's an older population gobbled up the fact that matters. Labor participation. Is really not very good and that the number he I have to do is look at LPR. For 2554. Man yeah. It's it's tragic number and a lot of it. It 50% of the decline is. Based on drug addiction and alcoholism in those numbers you talking about our our our relative numbers and yet you're you'd vote not everyone in that age group is gonna go wanna go to work for a lot of reasons some of a lazy that's beyond but. Even accounting for that it's not like people got. Demonstrably. Lazy you're just in recent years and a drug addiction and yet that number clearly is impacted by drug addiction and in the really tragic thing here is. We're now seeing. That there were doctors talking about the fact that these things were not really that addicted. And recommending prescriptions. Of large doses of open yards on a daily basis. That that there wasn't addiction problem and we note that was a categorical. Absolute lie. And just knowing that is what makes this even more difficult. Through to deal were to accept. Doctors drug companies a lot of people culpable. If there is good news is that we are actually making some progress on this we're seeing although the numbers are high they're starting to drop off. You've seen the ads it you know governor Baker's running. You know touting the fact of the Massachusetts yet these numbers still high but their common down there and that's because a lot more resources are being. Dedicated to open an addiction and a lot more awareness looked. Anybody right now looking at oak view it as a as an option now understands what the rules are. They understand this would be a bit potentially like a boxer pulled way back on the prescriptions you walk into a pharmacy to pick up your prescription for open its. And Ty did that for my son when he had his Achilles deacon and and they're very difficult team to get the prescriptions now end. They go to great lengths to make sure that you understand the addictive nature we started pharmacist yup and you know people have been you know drug shopping. On other issues to getting prescriptions of things they shouldn't be getting. And what I noticed two anecdotally just in my own experience and also talking to the people is. It's harder to get even routine prescriptions right now. Doctors or even reluctant to take one of maintenance drugs. In not give you the two automatic refills and that they used to get through like either giving no refills no one refill. They just don't wanna be prescribing to any drug so. In a way I think it's made us really aware of the risks not only this drug but have a ball drugs. In about prescribing too many drugs it's made us really take a second look. At that entire industry and our usage. Do you have a trust to protect your assets if not and you're closing in on retirement this messages for you. Or the last 25 years John DS and 500. Has gained an average of 5% total return or the final three months of the year so between now and in you know New Year's Eve. Twenty of the last 254 quarters have produced a positive total return gained so I'm anticipating that and and be much richer. And by the percent return on January 1 it don't spend money yet but there there is definitely a seasonally and indication that that happens. November specially December tend to be very good months September October of volatile but the massive corrections and even. You know crashes that happened in October but there's also been some very good month to. I I written something fascinating even more specific that that from Randall foresight at barons who is. Even geek you're the meat when it comes through it we years' statistics it and was why I read Barron's every week. He points out that in the presidential. Cycle. From the time you're sworn in the time you leave. The best nine months of the year the best three quarters are the quarter that started yesterday and the fourth quarter of this year and the first quarter and second quarter of next year and if you look at those nine months he is talking about the economy or the stock the stock market. The stock market within this presidential term starting yesterday. Averages for the next nine months since 197132%. Gain in. Since 1949. A 20%. Gain that's just nine months and it might say well that's that's kind of crazy about it. The theory is that. If you the president you do all the things I have to do in the first two years get out a waiver that their ads stuff for dirty work you know. The roll up your sleeves and lets you know get little dirty endured duo worked. In the last two years your focus is on getting reelected right. Raise his reelection campaign begins. January 1 January 1 it's the start now put. So. From the investor's perspective of one of the goodies that result in a stronger economy Tampa kicked the end. In the next few moderates because he wants to be popular. In November of 20/20. Right. And so you know a lot of the dirty work is done in the in the first two years I think about it with Obama when he doo dad if he does have control costs that will be the question and I think realistically if we do get a split verdict here we. Democratic house and Republicans is that we are anticipating that the markets and despair is this better than 70% chance. That the Democrats to control the house the Republicans maintain the senate my two ball Heidi feel the problems economic and the senate that's because. The Democrats have to defend 26 seats in the senate. Republicans nine of the 26 seats the Democrats have to defend ten of them. Are states that trumped won just two years ago. You can have or a blue wave. In half Republicans gained two seats and in the senate Dem the house is completely different situation. And that will result in gridlock a lot like the final two years of Obama kind of lose it which is not necessarily bad eight in the last. I've been very negative opinion and government that the less they do generally speak the better off we all that's why Wall Street has been behaving well it is of the opinion that we're gonna get a split verdict is not going to be a lot of government and that will be done that. And then there's also cynically. If the team that if there was something bad like an impeachment. There's what's called the parents who in the market a net eight Wall Street likes it yet you Democrats and electoral how we use a little more conservative right. Other than he could affect people actually might like yup it's all like I or brilliant trouble. The Dow was up a hundred in nine points. And we're going to be talking about illness on getting into a new business he needed new mattress that one week before you buy it that's next. Be a part of the financial exchange in an instant. Those 15102000. Dollar mattresses the real higher quality matches might be available for like that mid range price but 799. Ignited and and I think if that's the case you know I was in the market for mid price war and I take my chances and also knowing that Amazon allows you to do returns yell is huge yeah I mean most steady return rankings and I mean that's obviously going to be number one question across the board in order a mattress on line I'm sure they were. You know address that with the simple solution. Yeah but most of these companies are offering and days tribe mattress. I think it's funny time it is absolutely. Site I I think it will be successful because that. Because where ever there are large margins. In his on and come in and disrupted them in there's no industry that's fatter margins in the mattress industry you know there will lose money. In his yeah they've shown that they become more disciplined about that in recent years which is one of the reasons why the stock is doing well there. But does this is and will that put mattress firm out of business and then raise the prices price it at that that that's. That's how they do but the mattress companies there's are making so much money you go to small towns that have very little in terms of commerce and and they have a beautiful mattress store and part that is because as listening to a free economics podcast. But that you could just like 23 matches a week. And make pretty good because there's so much profit and it. Good business to be and yes. Applications declined at. At Harvard. Wharton and other elite business schools as the degree and it we're talking about an MBA yeah. Loses its appeal to young people you know US business schools received a 140000. Applications that may sound like a lot but it's down 7%. In there's definitely a lot more competition. So if you want to go to the good news is if you if you want to go to a really good school he got decent grades and you way to pay it forward a pretty good chance to get him. You do have a good chance of getting that day that the kids must feel good dozen of them. I think there is that feeling that that the NBA has lost some its value does the job markets. Right knee my job market was it certainly it was terrible but the if you're brave young person would you say three to five years of business experience. Why why go back to grad school here are making good money I you know I think that's the reason I think there even will be ironically because the economy's doing so well. You can get a really good job without an MBA and and you know that MBA application or heard of two ways. In bad times people don't go there because no with hiring people and MBA thinking. And in good times you don't need them be and I do remember back in 2009. People who graduate. And it's job marked terror no one's under the back in a go to grad school for two years and hopefully the economy turned around 1112. You know there was a period of time there were a lot of people going back the law school grad school. Because. You're gonna make any money anyway yes so it's it's a challenging situation we've talked about every situation is different. For a lot of people an MBA really can raise the ceiling of what they can earn while lot for a lot of people it's not necessary. Good day and the market so far Dow's up five points the doubts of 129 point excuse me yes and in the price of crude oil to get to talk about it today but I am I guess I frankly am very nervous 275 dollars a barrel. You guys in my right things and had a hundred bucks. The bearer of bad if it happens on the plane in new tech.
