This is the financial exchange with the very Armstrong and chunks of you're exclusive look at business and financial news affecting your day you're so leave your world stay informed and up today about economic and market trends plus get breaking business news every day. And now the financial exchange with the Barry Armstrong and chuck Exxon. He bidding war has broken out for a company called sky is Ari large media company that has 23 million customers in the United Kingdom Italy and Germany. Talk about that story because that's our lead story today. And then we're gonna ask the question. How much of a raise in pay would require. For you to break up with you or significant other and everybody it's Berrian might with you here on late Tuesday morning and this Comcast story catching everybody by surprise a bidding war breaking out for Scott. Yes so for those definitely I had. Equates guy a most similarly to the Comcast of the UK right they have. Their own it and they deliver cable directly to the house they have a telephone lines but they also have their own. The networks and programming. Fox already owns 39% this guy. And they had you know accepted bid I think at the end of sixteen that was gonna take over the rest of the company. And Comcast kind of came out of nowhere here and that significantly outbid fox and Woolsey talks might be on back in now with a higher bid now. Well they're gonna have to because you know it is the. Offer previously. Had been 1075. Pounds per share that's what fox was gonna pay yet. Comcast came in at 1250 and here's the other wrinkle in this whole story Michael is. Fox is not light in the United Kingdom they've got a Burt the Murdoch's have a very bad reputation in the UK yeah. And there's a lot of speculation that. Regulators may not allow the Murdoch's to buy fought sky in the first place so Comcast now coming in with this higher offer. Say you know if it looks like to meet it looks like it's Comcast's. Deal to lose at this point. Yeah I would I would think so I am we'll see how aggressively fox goes after this but you're right you have to question you know response really to be willing to up their bid knowing in the back of their head they're gonna spend the next 24 months dealing with UK regulators as to whether or not they actually can open you own this company him after they break up fees and all sorts of stuff that. If this doesn't get approved. But it would be estranged little. Set up because again fox already owns a good portion of the company. Yeah they're going to be partners with Comcast you're right Comcast is the one that buys it or. Fox could make a lot of money just selling the 39% they care deal yet they carry. They're getting hurt all the way to the bank yeah. Yeah anyway near that fox has a very big presence in the UK already Comcast really does not contest is not have much European exposure at this point and I do look at sky and see them very comparable to what Comcast is doing here in the United States so you know whether or not their real cost savings and synergies there I'm not sure but they do operate similar business model so I would think that there could be at least it seems like him. More cohesive deal that talks going in there. All right. Eight financial services company cult comet. Surveyed 364. Single employee Milan heels who did not have children. And they found that relationships. Were net another area that twenty to 36 year old sets the defining a millennial. We're willing to cut back in fact. 41%. Of mole and heels said they would end their relationship. In return for promotion at work that it resulted in a pay increase. Feel like we're gonna we're going to be taken on too and this one tube in this is this is got a great we've Brinkley you know. Everyone's claiming that millennial sir you know lazy groups it's not willing to work in now willing to sacrifice anything for job. About a third of murder and urged him Bob. Give me 37000 bucks a break my girlfriend apparently. The 3041%. Would end the relationship. And they here's the percentage 54%. Would pass on a career opportunity. In exchange for a long term relationship that's interest and yes. 59%. Would pass on a long term relationship if it jeopardize their career. Eat eat eat you walk through these it's it's an interest study. 86%. Would move if their significant other was offered a better job in another city. Cut and 79% of all meals would move if their significant other was offered a better job in another state. I wonder how much these numbers change I mean the it would be nice if you had a benchmarking it's a well baby boomers. When they were questioned about this topic 35 years ago had this response and we don't have that as a point of reference. Yeah I'd I don't know about their relationship peace but the the mobility peace I would assume was a lot less flexible forty years ago. I would think that people because AA they were having families younger so you know if you if you Marty got a young family you're going to be a lot less inclined to pick up your job and moved to another city state or country. And did they just you know. Much more ties and there are today to communities. People just are much more willing to move around these days. When asked about compensation. They said millennial this is. Said they would take a 36000. Dollar pay increase in orders delayed having a relationship. We're taking 64000. Dollar pay increase in order to delay getting married. 67000. Dollar pay increase in order to delay having children. And 37000 dollar increase in pay two and an existing relationship with their boyfriend or girlfriend talk herself up. We have a poll question today yup so we're gonna do a broad based whole overall audience yes is not comprised of many Mullen deals with that. Yes and let's keep in mind this is an anonymous poll so high you won't be tied to your spouse or significant other. When answering this poll question the question today is would you break up. With your significant other for 37000. Dollar a year race in the our poll question is located at financial change showed dot com. A vote right now I would say no the you know that's that's just me. We also Tucker has rolled out nude ousting service yes sir where listeners can text into the program like they used to we wouldn't we lose or text excerpts two months ago symptom and apple parks and yet we finally I came up with a new texting solution seeking get right in contact with us. As you were before and if you wanna join our new brand a brand new tax club here at the financial change it's easy to do. Simply text the word Barry. In your first and last name to the number 63566. That's Barry. In your first and last name to 63566. Make sure to leave a space between all three words by the way. And the first and people to join our tax club will win a pair of ski tickets to Shawnee peak in averaged in Maine. Shawnee peak offers special specials this week with New England ski day ink college night on Friday. Visit shiny dark copper all info and opera ski schedule in blizzards pub so again. Text the word theory in your first and last name 263566. In join our techs club here at the financial change. So they do that and how to be rated say hey Barry wood about this company here or how does it pose a question to us on this date to text. Thank you at all part of the scene is it no Larry Knight and yet the first text word vary to get into the tax club. And then your rent went during the club here in you can say whatever you want to us. Now. More and them they can do that for you yeah. Yet anyway yeah this change in order for and they and they frequently. Islam and we can talk back to you guys to all of them yet. And outraged at what it. It's 63566. And yet the text the word bear. What the name. On these ten hardest working cities in the United States. So why they they compiled this list by looking at you average working hours the employment rates you know who's leading. Vacation time on the sideline. The top ten hardest working sees that they that they December San Fran. Premium Fremont California Jersey City. Washington DC New York Oakland Boston a roar Colorado new work in Chicago. So had to be quantified so what are the factors that they would use to determine that San Francisco's hardworking city and that Boston. So they're taking a look at their action measuring you know what are the average workweek look for people how many you know how many hours of people's thing office. What's the employment rate right because you have a lower employment rate then hypothetically your city's hard work and more people are out of work. The share of workers were not using all their vacation to answer you get four weeks vacation in your room eating too. And then the share of workers with more than one job. And when you measure all that you put together an index and he's the top ten workers and cars were in cities I would Chilean. I wasn't surprised at all by San Fran Jersey. New York Boston Chicago. I guess new work you know because the New York it's an hour that doesn't surprise me either I didn't know anything about a rural Colorado. Oakland. Jersey city's New York yesterday's eighty yard field California. I don't know exactly where that is maybe that's the San Fran a suburb I'm not sure it is it's where they're built in essence as a NASA I guess and not just huge surprise here it's all the you know it's all the booming c.s with all the you know jumping was going up and be incredibly tough real estate markets happened also have to people working long hours so there and not a huge Oakland is right across the bay from San Francisco's is probably getting a lot of. World for from San Francisco's economy right. Hey Tucker. NCAA. Basketball scandal we covered this was in the fall when pitino got to fired yes we're seek fortunately though it'll up. Lugo. Jason gay who's a reporter for the Wall Street Journal. Wrote a story it's a great to have plenty secret cash isn't an NCAA scandal amateurism. Is. Or talk about that Michael's been interviewed Jason gay on this whole topic. Of it'll be there are some sports that are just riddled Wii is scandal in the NCAA I'd say the big ones Tucker correct me if I'm wrong would be. Now college football. And college basketball those of the two big money sports in the NCAA and yeah it's definitely a basketball football by far on the basketball has been yeah. Mean we're prone here in this FBI investigation. Then I guess there's Jason's got perspective on this that rule take a look at it our next segment on the financial exchange. There are a ton of reasons to do estate planning certainly you wanna protect your assets from pro -- that makes sense you probably want to eliminate any possible estate taxes that also makes sense what about making sure that your assets are distributed where and how are you actually want them to be instead of hoping that things work out for the best if these questions mean anything to you when your family you need to get Todd -- brand new guide for this month the top ten reasons to do estate planning looks gay is a senior partner at the law firm of Cushing in Dolan and hosts the legal exchange radio show each week on this station he knows the horror stories of what happens to families that don't invest time and estate planning don't be one of those families call right now and get your free guide at 8668485699. Are strong here and I'm joined by estate planning attorney Todd Lipsky from the law firm Cushing and all we're talking about motivation to create in a state plan here's one. How Todd can somebody. Ensure. That an ex daughter in law or an ex son in law is not going to take. Half of my child's inheritance when I die in the event that they got a divorce you know I don't think I sit down at a client meeting. And this doesn't come. Rate do you bring it up Purdue the client. I think it's a combination of ball but but once you mention if they don't mention that always think about after death I know and when you mention it. They jump on. One might spell out here that lower divorce is so prevalent I guess that's the pro and here's the worry right. You guys you both you leave each of your children half a million dollars right. And then three years after you're gone they get a divorce. You're gonna lose half 500000 dollars on a good. And so what we try to do is inside the trust again another family reason to do is they play a non tax reason to do an estate plan. And and we inside the trust we create its shares for the children and we have independent trust me if you will making one decision only. And that is in their sole discretion to make distribution to the child or to the grinch. And that sole discretion provides all the creditor protection that they need from the divorce in the future. I don't mean to lecture but it's a good idea it created state plan and keep your assets in the blood line. The lowest ever comes to an end you know a lot of stretching about our favorite spring holiday March Madness joining us from the Wall Street Journal's Jason gay and discuss the growing scandal Washington through the NCAA. Jason yeah so for those of us living under a rock. What exactly has been revealed over the last few weeks I know this has been going on for a while we got a lot more information just in the last couple weeks right. Lied on all your being. And that College Board and upbeat all the normal couple. There have been. A lot of reporting it there's ongoing FBI. Bribery and odds are then. College basketball man. 01 K now we. Gotten bored yet again work. There are period and now engaged in the bombing amen. We've all. Coaches aren't the gay athlete. Here they're they're human you know. Are currently. That the that are the worker quite awhile. And all year he really yet. I'll look under the what has been rather obvious lack mark made sport Burberry. I think whether it about it. Finally convert patient about. The Mitt and deterrent then what exactly is on board and. Yeah I mean I would say I wouldn't say it's a huge scandal Louisiana we all knew about it but other than the fact that if you look at the you know the marketing of the NCAA. They tout overall you know student athletes putting putting our education first and you know there really really trying to denied there's any sort of financial motivation going on here. Yeah how do you see how do you see this new the new set of disclosures potentially impacting the term this year. Well that's an interesting question right because I think that. Or killing it right now are. We get the document and whether whether or not universe is under any obligation bonds. You know I think you'll be. As with Arizona did you know they balance their coach rob Miller who has mentioned did report about 100 and allege what are and it. There freshman player. I'm you know I think you're gonna be universe is behave in the way that they typically be and I have merit which at the change shock and embarrassment and then punished. Most directly. Which is people want but that's me is like again. Now not to get checked and so but I just feel like. Dealing with this matter and I that they punitive. Ad hominem way it does not address whether the most significant figure to. We need a tremendous overhaul of what college sports is and how our sport aptly. I can and should be compensated and the last universities and in the air willing to do that. We're going to be right back here again after that and conversation about other action. Yeah I mean there's no debt I mean these are both multi billion dollar industries between you the airtime at the sports Gatt and the money making at the colleges and universities receive. I personally having. Look at this as an NCAA problems I mean this is clearly going on right at their noses and they just kind of swept it under the rug. And when you're going out there and lying to the public. That's what's gonna cause an FBI investigation. We. Yes and and there are good number of people might happen or one current idea actually in the Booth basically patrolling and NCAA compliance while you look at. Now money and increment. There being the rapture or protecting or failure by the year. Payment aptly you know rather re eating up in the you have that is what brought federal investigations. You know the NCAA. Yeah I've been completely ineffectual in terms of dealing with that Palmeiro on whether whether lead batterer or violent month or. Aren't they had. Going to back the like the NBA here or why they effectively mandate that these players go and played college basketball first place is this an. You know is this an economic deal for the NBA to where they get something out of that's. What a good question because there are a little bit of an economic benefit of the NBA what people don't ever talk about that. Well later taken Arctic ought BA player and NBA player career. That. Earning potential shrink a little bet it wouldn't. That's a small point but yet it is the NBA is that via. Eight and an amendment create the climate war. One in time which everyone he really hate which is that they come again and buying one is that belly out into the for the spring semester at. No one in like that I think pat and change around noon. You're gonna be the NBA. Stepping up our family and trying to create your own. Sort of expanded minor league. Professional training because let all these or partner in the big free ride out the caught up by the man. You know if they have some responsibility here as well. Right so I mean. I understand your only one man read it yet the perfect solution for us on this one. I think there's there's there's what they need to do right away which is that look across the board changed it would impact not just meant about applaud. And football every sport. Allow all. In on the matter what would that whether it is in the by. To accept sponsorship payments you'd think I'd the big money in ways. That are. Related and unrelated to their sport. The its current environment is way too restrictive the idea that an athlete not benefit us early like that. Did not make any money when I look at selling their name my teacher where there's the there's ridiculous. We see in the Olympics you know going back a generation. We're all argument about amateurism and the Olympic idea that oh I shouldn't let these guys like. Have money for ninety let me add to that. Track until appearance he's gonna ruin the Olympic that didn't really happen I think can make BI experience into college athletic beyond. All of that and the bad I couldn't land where a ball premarket. You know pay the limits and that they are our space but at eleven. That's gonna require. A lot more strategic they eat and now probably will require writing in the courts because that I'll actual so that's a further tripped on the road. Well it's it's an instant topic I really appreciate joins the title of the article in the Wall Street Journal a secret cash isn't an NCAA scandal amateurism is. And that's Jason gave Wall Street Journal joining us thanks Jason. Thank you. You know it's interesting news I remember talking to hockey players in hockey manager's team managers. And the NHL clearly said hey we love the NCAA we leave our kids and their 22324. Years old playing College Hockey. And they develop them and it doesn't cost us a nickel if we sent him to the Providence Bruins. Well we get paid and ended its expenses so they'd rather have them come out at 24. Fully developed as opposed to you know I haven't paid him in the minds and makes us. When we come back we'll talk a look take a look at the NRA companies that are poorly. I sometimes and followers on Twitter. Show breaking business news is always first right here on the financial exchange radio network. We have a modest rally in stocks very modestly the Dow's up a whopping one point crude oil trading at 63 dollars and 79 cents Michael. Yeah and or two companies made some big news today though Carter's the had a baby clothing company. They did fine with that earnings and revenue but their guidance for full year 28 teen was. Considerably lower than expectations it's over the re spending a lot more money on just growing their business but. So far analysts not to after that the stock is down about twelve dollars nearly 10% on the news today. That said it was up over 30% last years of giving a little bit of that back and then Macy's first time I've had positive news about Macy's in. A very long time they beat on earnings slightly they slightly missed on revenue of the big news here was that there holiday sales. Came in way above expectations they saw holiday sales up one point 3% vs obviously expectations than being flat. On that news Macy's. Two dollars 25 cents a little bit over 8% and so what are the trading about twice Japanese nearly thirty bucks right now are now been along time 980. What's their 52 week low and they get that teens they got as low as 1750. Back in the end of last year going in to holiday season and they started Kana rallying. You know with him what else are tax reform as well as around expectations for the holidays and so far. You know pretty good news then and a lot of their competitors in the JC Penney's Dillard's Kohl's are all trading up with them so we'll see what they say about holidays sales. A. A list of companies has been made available. And it's companies that have severed or change their relationship with the National Rifle Association. After the Parkland. Massacre. And the companies include. Delta Airlines United Airlines enterprise holdings at the car company Hertz. Avis and budget so really all the car eat two car rental companies. Backed away from their NRA. Relationship. Symantec. Which is like block. There were no longer work with a true car to buying service. They ended their relationship met life and simply safe. It first national bank of Omaha these are all companies Michael. That had discounts and financial incentives. For NRA members. For instance MetLife had offered discounts to NRA members on auto and home policies before actually the deal. All these companies jumping into the fray. And severing their relationships. With the NRA nervously certainly modifying them. In I'm guessing they did this do to consumer demand either consumer demand or stockholder to me it may have been a situation where larger institutional investors. Went to Delta Airlines and said. ED use every year relationship with the NRA we're gonna sell your stock. Yeah and I think you're seeing a combination of both year. And it's it's really setting up for a pretty interest in battle in big news story that I saw the other day was that Georgia's governor. Basically went to united who I believe is headquartered in Atlanta and said hey you're cutting off its ties with with the NRA would guess what we're ending all tax incentives with you if you do that. Is that lieutenant governors threatening governor threatening yeah I mean not that he has the power to actually do that spread in I think you're setting up for a pretty big battle here. Between a lot of these companies but clearly the gun. The the activists. That are you know coming against these companies are quite a bit louder right now than the the NRA supporters and that's that you're seeing the impacts right now. 32% noble ideals would break up with their significant other. For 837000. Dollar pay increase that's our poll question today talkers on financial exchange showed dot com. With the results so far in the pool and have results so far no surprise here it's 42%. Of our listeners are only saying yes and 77. Percent are saying no still playing time though so go to financial exchange or dot com to participate in our poll question. Would break up with your significant other for a 37000. Dollar raise. And dad lots of text messages coming so it's not so complicated no it's not at all it's very easy Berry. Which is what we need to be encouraging. It's a few days. This sounds it's a whole text. Aha yes. Yeah email yes so once again all you have to do if you haven't yet just text the word dairy. Along with your first and last name 263566. And then your in the club and you can Texas with your. Comments and one not so while once again text the word Berry. Your name means to the number 63566. He give any compelling thoughts from our techsters that you feel you need to share Tucker just throw them a lower. So far it's a bunch of people who work cited that we have text messaging back so that's good news I'm excited but this next announcement. About instead cart. They're teaming up with wal mart's Sam's Club. Four scene day delivery. In an attempt Michaels to counter Amazon's relationship with the whole foods. Brilliant strategy I wish they'd done a little early. Yeah you know this is a Smart strategy for them their demise just Sam's Club so it's not here it's not all your Wal-Mart grocery stores it's just the Sam's Club stores. Bedford for anyone not familiar with and the card basically you go to this website and you can choose from in the Boston area for instance I went on and saw. Stop & Shop whole foods. Maybe in their shots was on there Internet wegmans was on there. And there is some liquor deliveries as well as pets mart and you could you know shelter shopping cart. And if you wanna just pay for a one time delivery I think the charge six bucks the first fewer free bit. The charges six bucks for a delivery or you can just pay a 150 dollars per year for unlimited free delivery and in a lot of cases of the liver within one hour. Jesus for your family I have not tried to Dahlia I didn't really know they exist and I knew the individual you know people on things like that existed but this is this is nice because it aggregates all the all the different shops are together you know you know you can choose. The agents are Costco on. This is your the prototypical family though fourth she young kids at home. You work your wife works I would think this service effort you know does the 22 income family. Especially with kids now because yeah it did dynamic changes is that something you'd sign up for news. You know it is still have tried it once or twice now within the carpet with other you know food delivery companies and I still just can't get used to the fact that it whenever I go to the grocery store I have my list maybe it's 1015 times long. And I come home with 25 to thirty different items and until they figure out a way to have virtually walk you down an island pick up the other stuff that you. Forgot to put on your list and nurture I don't know how to use his property to our deliveries tract that's you know it's the get off the air news. And you're thinking to yourself gosh nothing at home eat. Eagle and instead cart. In order roasted chicken Mary you know you can. You can order prepared meals delivered to your house yeah area it's definitely huge from that perspective and if they can figure out a way. Again to just tackle that issue of I'm gonna forget stuff on Ellis and I'm not gonna remember it Intel. You know I go on and but that's easy to do unique take daily data analytics and you say okay well usually when this person buys a bunch of bananas they're also looking at these five other items and everybody does that. Yeah Amazon says that when you buy something they say we've prize by the stuffed right. Eddie keep things cold blueberry or Mike Teague is now zero Sonia Kohler some sort of I did it on jet. That's the only other player company have tried this with for their Gershon delivery they delivered it in and yet obviously cool. Cooler with some dried out cut he's enough. But Tucker this is to our deliveries to so it's to cart you can now Michael could go long and let's say he knows he's gonna get home at 6 o'clock right. Kiki go one on line against cart at 3 o'clock in the afternoon and say I want my grocery bag delivered at 6 PM. Erica pretty darn nice yeah you know it is that. I I think this type of surface is gonna take off. Maybe not among my generation. But among your generation is. You know Tucker you work full time your wife works full time Michael works full time his wife for works full time chuck you know of these three millennial that I know. HBO worked full time right if three miners couples and in so. I I just I'd be shocked if instead cart wasn't successful I think what they have to do though. Is it has to be more than Sam's Club. They've got. Do that relationship with Wal-Mart don't be surprised if the EC a rumor circulating that wal mart's gonna buy units to cart yet to start up I wouldn't small startup two billion dollars. Big problem here is you know can I really. I'm already paying Amazon's annual subscription to get all that free delivery and it really justify another 150 dollar a year subscription for Bershard delivery or just gonna. Go in go to stores whenever errands on hand or just go to the store and you know pick this stuff up and it's a tough justification when you're looking at the budget in sync. All the subscription service between my Netflix Miami is on. And this is really start now. So last month that we got a I caught a blockbuster announcement from Amazon JPMorgan Burke sheer that would dad shake up the health care industry since then we haven't heard a whole lot of in the way of details. Joining us to dive in on this is Joseph McCann from seeking alpha. So Joseph what have these three companies. So far really disclosed in detail about their plans if anything. Gary good morning trick behind if complete stop and a little bit later on details but. It kind of following a model to be business as an adequate they're targeting it looks like it is. You're trying to reduce the cost of getting health care services to people so there's a lot of different. Steps in the in the way that we all get our health care. And the cost more money and a lot of people opinion and they share a joke these companies are trying to zero in on the distribution. Over just stick. Really how we go out there and pay it forward I hope that we on the. Yeah I mean it there's clearly a lot of inefficiencies in this in this industry and a talk with someone whose knees together. Elbow surgery and he had today yet he is now out of network doctor in series calling because there are different charge it to call. Hospital the some other group three different places figure out what each of them would charge and not new in no one had any idea what they're actually charge because there's just. There's no real organization in this industry. Clearly Amazon's got the logistical expertise. I mean what's the low hanging fruit here. Yet equal what we're seeing it in a system that was created. Paramount that are thought that we that the profit and stared it would have been put together over the last. The 5060 years is driven from our regulations a lot of fear and concern. And really just a lack of technology picky simple I think that figure you know Amazon put in that at a point in time where. Americans are getting more comfortable using the Internet to. Look at their health care options go back there and now Barack. Get a lot to get people online looking for how they get health insurance and they're trying to figure out a way to. Pick these record nickel and database isn't really that last big industry that has had to write the inroads made you know how can they be the one I think your prime example having record in the complaint is not popular returner and everything in the same institution. I'm and then you know a bigger and play your employer or battle your insurance company your doctor who's who's responsible. So in other traffic to look really big picture here. Simplifying. And after the just on the beach in tiger how do you get. Go to the right place there also are they gonna be looked at the distribution I would agree that they're very good that so medical devices and medical acquired. Pharmaceutical banks and by god awful mother vertical market base they're really well positioned to tackle. He had me I would think that they can pretty easily go after you know just creating syringes into you know creating rebrand itself and sound all that on online dating. Quick delivery after the hospitals. How of how big health care companies been reacting to the news since it was announced what was the brain at the ended January. Yet early February thank you and I ended January and what you mean. Yeah this has been telegraphed for awhile and that's been talking about. You know the plan could potentially Sunday may be in doubt there when you can let the doctors to them 20% of the US economy took a pretty. A larger area than right now I am I have nothing to do it. Anything article from a trillion dollar company to keep growing you almost have to get into that Specter and edit that part I would bet there's a project but. This is common side or the big guys that the creative combination. I think you know from the deal between Utley and yet. Try to create this. One stop shop for health care solutions has been one of the reaction I think you'll see a lot more politics in the traditional players aren't there or what do we do. The market the way to the Republican mortar that the government Wal-Mart. I think whenever document could they're got to pick the like get these guys trying to create things and a similar way that other industries and a couple of. Yeah and Amazon's gonna aggregate record going into very profitable industries in trying to shake him up. Thanks for coming on that's Joseph McCann from seeking alpha talking about the Amazon JPMorgan Burke sheer. Whenever it is combined and Steve trying to focus on health care extraterrestrial. A court. You know it's like to see some form of competition he had to do something to address the cost in in health care is just enough control light. We do is cut and announce murder of a notification from our insurance company. That our health insurance school and up 18% or 16% this April yeah Andy you're gonna continue to see that across the board I think. There's one area that's really tough for this these are two companies to go after which is the pharmaceutical area that's accounting for a fair bit of that cost. But it will be anxious to see you know however they go after it Dayton cut down you know cut down on this if you could be huge costly things that your good. When we come back we're gonna talk about General Electric there shaken things up over at GE. And then have you checked your credit report we just learned that. Half of the country has not check their credit reports despite all the facts that have been going on. It's very Mike and Tucker. Joining you from the financial exchange treaty. I'd how tax reform. Affects high net worth investors and Mike one of the biggest changes that we see is in the federal estate tax on the what happened to this number as a result of tax reform. Sure certain 2017. You can give to five point. For married couple that number was eleven million these numbers are effectively doubling so. Instead a five point five million you're now looking at eleven million for an individual and 2.2 million for a married couple so this is really impacting very few individuals. I mean in the aggregate for. Americans these days and remember that's a pretty hefty tax rate if you get hit with the estate tax you're talking upwards of 40% of that value that your trying to pass on. So the federal limit is doubling -- five of the six New England states have state estate taxes as well the most restrictive one Massachusetts that number starts to million dollars there's guys and guys you know it's not just the amount over a million dollars if you go over a million dollars in Massachusetts you paid state tax on everything you have but you know going through the list Connecticut as an estate tax at two point six million Maine eleven point two million like you said Massachusetts one million Rhode Island is about one point five in Vermont's about two and three quarters the only state during the without one is New Hampshire folks. These are questions that you need to be able to answer if you're wanting to pass any inheritance down to your errors and so this guide how tax reform affects high net worth investors is available for free. About an economic and market trends plus get breaking business news every day it's. And now the financial exchange with the Barry Armstrong and sharks done us. Many of you need to work Digi here he knew somebody who worked at GE you've been dismayed. With the performance of the company during the last several years well they're making efforts to turn around the company were to talk about that today. And then a shocking number of Americans are still not checking their credit reports hi everybody it's Berrian might with you here. On a Tuesday and you know yesterday I kind of took a nutty on GE I'm very. Disenfranchised. With this company. And I don't care for the new CEO. But they're doing what they can Michael two seemingly try to turn around this company. Which traded cash 2324 bucks a share in the fall and now it's trading at fourteen dollars and 86 cents a share. Yeah I mean there's a back. As recently as you know December 16 news double the stock price where it is right now hi. As long time coming obviously changing around a lot their boards to decrease in the number of board members and replacing a lot of them. Eight yesterday we got those details about a guy changes to their accounting methods which is going to have to restate between sixteen and 2017 profits. I don't know what to do with this company at this point I've been completely rebrand and break it up. It well look I think you do to turn around General Electric at this point and attracted investors I don't know. It. It's a big question and I like the board members they've brought in I mean a defect that is to restate accounting issues. I mean the CFO. Should be in hot water to whoever the CFO was. Under Immelt should be in hot water with us then I'm here as part of their responsibility make sure you're counting is right. The threes tonight don't like the CEO is. Flannery last fall should've said hey we got a lot of problems. And he didn't he he didn't come forth with all the issues associated with the company it several months. Before November to come out and tell everybody with the problems or he didn't do that that they've been dripping out. Since so that leads investors reason stock keeps going down Michael's. Investors don't believe anything Flannery sank in yet keep thinking what could go down to ten dollars or nine dollars share. Right and these are very different companies and I equated similar to what's been going on with Hoover right you know you had turmoil face snack companies abroad and new CEO. You know that he did a very very good job of going in day one and saying we have these issues we've identified them we are making them public ever gonna fix them. Whereas geez he's gone in there and you know just piece by piece. It's not like it doesn't seem like they're slowly uncovering these different issues which is understandable right if you go in there and and six months later you'd score you know you discover something you need disclose that. That's one thing but it seems like. CEO went in there discovered a whole slew of new issues that haven't been disclosed and then is just drip and amount peace and. In the market hates that at the market expects shoes flush all the bad news quickly and in the didn't do that so. At any rate that's GE u.'s say it's actually up today it's up. Except they wanted to half percent the time you bits and mammy you know the stock dropped 45% and seventy. Yeah you think about and think about how many employees and Ayers had you know the amount of money in their 401 k.s it was attached to General Electric stock performance. Just just as detrimental. You know it's last year that six months ago. That Equifax announced a massive data breach that exposed personal information for as many as 100 in 45 million Americans. However we sit here six months later Michael and one half of adults in the United States have not checked their credit score. In the last six months I find this remark. You know I do to you that 145 million Americans numbers that is the vast majority. Of adult Americans to take a look at the numbers of eighteen years in older people that would actually be impacted by this breach. It's the majority of us. And the fact that. Half of adults still haven't even checked their credit score I'm I'm wondering how much of this is just. A lack of understanding. Of how this breach worked because it was one of the credit monitoring agencies that got hacked. And I'm wondering how many people are sitting there saying oh why don't wanna give them information it's gonna lose it again. They already have a people. Equifax has your Social Security number if you if you have a credit card if you done any sort of financial transaction. Equifax already had your information you're not giving them anything they don't already know check your credit. Just makes sense enemies have to do that. Hey how exciting announcement we have our text is back up and running. Tucker so we wanna teller but he how they can participate in with the program yeah. New method to get in touch with the show all you have to do is text the word airy. Along with your first and last name to the number 63566. That's Barry. In your first in last name to 63566. And what you do that you'll be in the club and able to text us from thereon out with. Comments to the show like Diana. Dylan's earlier she said I live in Massachusetts and I paid a 150 dollar pins to cart fee. And had my groceries delivered to my mom in San Antonio. It's a beautiful service never even thought about that yet interestingly enough I hadn't thought about that a called into the number of people that are taking care of you know the parents are people that are less mobile this would be huge. Even Michael Vick about your situation rate your grandparents live in Phoenix. Do you sign up for instant cart in Boston. And you use it to have maybe growth trees diapers stuff delivered to your house right. That day and you could say gee it's Graham has burst. I'm gonna go one needs to cart and have. This under Daniels. But look you can have a nice view delivered to your grand that is across the country at I just think. I I think this instead carte idea. Is something that could give Amazon around for the might have problems they have this Amazon has such a huge logistical. And every. They do you and it's such a head start I think the price point is Canada it's going to be an absolute dagger to this it's a cart bankers like Mike's was saying. While if I'm paying 99 dollars a year for m.s on in their looking into the service the martyred you don't even. Entertain the thought of a 150 dollars a year returns to permanent ended so much more ams on prime. Makes massage your help but here's the thing talker EU look at the pricing. On Amazon prime were. Fitch or me to work any rate you by if you wanna buy anything that's coming out hole for its. He will pay forty and 50% more for it and you would pay through Shaw's Stop & Shop market past him and that's. That's yet it does in Stuttgart have a relationship with market basket. ID Ozzy on there so that's that was kind of disappointing is obviously the cheapest brochure in the New England area has got to be market basket and they were not listed on. Audience to our relationships and hopefully it's just a matter time and I soon I'd just assume that Stop & Shop as an ample evidence to Kirk is they have their own servers right or are they involved. Stop & Shop was on the list and they were OK it was too you can go on and spiral and hopefully it SO last yeah I would imagine that it might they might shut that down soon but I saw wegmans on their. It all varies by geographic location away area different stories different opportunities in different places. And I don't know how widespread this is an item I'm not sure you can go use this service in you know rural Kansas. I've always maintained. That the two hour deliveries to critical aspect of this or the short term delivery and being able to park your delivery time. In my overstating the importance of that too young families and I'm I'm not raising him I'm on team testers. To my wife and I can go to restorer. Go out to dinner whatever. But I try to see this is critical component for. Two income family. Yes it's a nonstarter if if you're not doing speedy delivery and yeah I mean two hours is. Kind of what you're looking for big is there are times where I just you don't have time to think about what you and being for dinner until. Yet the end of the day rolls around and say OK well. I can either pick my kids up at daycare or hiking go grocery shopping which one of my prioritized. And ya I think you're right they could be very much on to something I think the delivery cost is something they need to. Work on I'm not saying it's not necessarily a non starter but they need to work. Well that was the big my big criticism of people. If you want it's something delivered on a Saturday morning I think he would order eons. Thursday afternoon Thursday night again and if he you know it was a real long lead time and I tried teapot few times and knows okay. But they do they'll lead times to Italy that we've become an instant gratification society we want it and we want now right. Especially pressures because you can you can get it now. Immediately you know I have with other items I get it with birch trees. Yeah it's pretty darn easy to just drive over the Hershey story in your way home so if you're not we think delivery then it's an issue. There that day you know you mentioned the cost but think about if you're cop. Or your firefighter or your teacher plumber electrician. Lawyer doctor. And you all the sudden you know you have to do the girl for shop. But if you work another two hours how much money can you me working that extra two hours as opposed to go to the earth restore. Organizers say ways if you know their bacon. If you're a cop do that a private detail would make him per hour forty bucks fifty bucks six bucks an hour right you'd say Erica I'll just. While I'm on the detail I'll grab my phone and I'll order the groceries and I was supposed to pick up and I'll take the action to not I'm not trying to encourage the cop to pick up his cellphone and order a few toys on detail particularly if you can think to alienate that he picked have you seen the cops I don't Orkut you are certified you do know on this fight who. I just I guess it just pointing. Pick pick it it's they might have the opportunity of a eight by the way our text lumber tech's number is 63. 566. Were Barack were back in the in in the texting business you can text your questions he in you can give us shot if you want but if you wanna do. 63566. Days or text number. To start text off. We bury and we'd love to hear from. It coming up. Michael's going to be talking with. Dara occur from CNET to talk about changes that are being kneed in the air you'd be platform I've actually never used BP. Michael has so there have a conversation about the program and how it works and it's getting better is getting worse that's next on the financial exchange. Since 2008 when air in view is first founded it they've really revolutionized the way that we need book and stay in different holidays and vacations and changing from hotels to personal rentals. I've joining us now is there occur from cnet's talking about the most recent change to their B&B is making to their systems. If for those that maybe aren't as active there be in B users can you kind of walk through the basic service today and how that looks to be changing going forward. Share Adam. So and when you go to air the NB Buchanan look for a place to stay elect psychic you but I don't care where a mother. Oh how I. So what you're going to be looking at is people are all hot. Apparently can be a room and that how well a lot of people are in and ran and did I hear. And are we generally singing you know what are we looking at in terms of pricing generally speaking I'm sure varies if you're looking at a room and prospers and tire place but. Do you oftentimes seem pretty significant cost savings comparison to you know a nicer hotel. Yet the so. And these pick out the week you would see a pretty big and that I spent. Anything I maybe 25 dollars a week on a couch. There will. 101000 dollars. Luxury Villa and then it crashed car. That was aired in he has that made it. They're easier and I. Each strip and who really. Look for what they whine about it and how it will all of the Arctic cat back. Yeah I mean they've got it seems to me they've got a pretty significant advantage over a lot of these you know hotels in terms. You know really low overhead costs you're not held the same. I'm. Probably stand I mean they operate worldwide and I'm guessing by and large not held the same safety standards as a hotel. So significant cost savings is certain expectation here but I guess they're rolling out. What seems to be a much more luxury segment with there being beaten you dive into battle but. Yes so I can bear out a lot you know over on the web site and I. And there are adding it right here. Let me category arron what are called air Indy black and went. Well a lot. More like how how. Listing will be there it. Air India will come out late surge and accurate and not quite the actor. Aaron. You know the cracked. It and it ended and that and I have something yeah well at hurt you well or it. Where it you know at the end he out. How. And not our that in order you know there. What areas. Need that letter and Ali. So. It really kinda cater at higher end and out. Yeah well I mean it's inching the changes they're making it seems like. By and large their goal with these changes to make it a lot easier for people to search for exactly the type of place there like four or whether a year on a business trip or going somewhere with the family or you know just passing through an area and just need a placed to sleep for eight hours they're trying to cater to each specific cut back customer. And when I see is you know in choosing is really going after the high and clientele which. I'm not sure that had been really attracted to air B&B at this point. There aren't you know we hear these delays let the other day made and that. Add an hour is because people can get it really highlight any ink but people can't do. And high crime and like Eric are how well they have a concierge that gap and all I can be immediately and we will. I haven't happened there at our customer and made that starting a program called the current cat. And waste people who use every NB a lack will be able to get hurt. And the local area is like candidate you'd have a local gentlemen. Had a. While there's been a lot of rumors float around when there they'll finally go go public you. Contribute all the rumors floating around there isn't this is maybe have one last step before they announced that are that we got aways to go. Well you at that apple and at an actor acts and that have they have that at any activity you eat out of it. And that can be it will be regulated by I received an lawmakers around the world and I think that the build a legal. I can you got me there are a lot and going apple. Big unknown there well. Vera saying dare really appreciate coming on the show talk about it again the the near the article as air being be getting all fancy. And a lot of change is coming to your ten and sued the European B platform the next few months restaurants. It. You know Michael the the company's gonna take it on the action with this air B&B development is American Express. They have an operation called Inspiron it looked at that Aetna. What it is is it's real high and luxury homes you raped her. You know like Caribbean they'll say. You know Caribbean Villa it in folks you know this if you've ever done you you might spend 5000 bucks per week than to rent a Caribbean they'll forefront that term couple things at least taken on its cheap hotel. Inspiron duo would be maybe twenty to 40000 dollars into that real high end. Beach fund prop. Part property it's. You know valued at 241. On the island strange all on the island of Davis it's real high art that's in its broad as business and that's an American Express product. Utley left air BNP's crushed. I don't know if they're gonna crush from bear because people go on here being beef for rich liberal political alternative to hotels really not really the top of the line. Luxury properties while they're on they're being MP. That's well in any demographic. Yeah but here's what changes talker. You start using your B&B when your broke in 25 years old UN voted yes spent the weekend. You spent 400 bucks and hotel rooms he spent a hundred bucks not an apartment. But your start when you're 25 but then you become 35 in your very successful in making lots of money and you like European. Analysts at new realist gee I don't have to stay at a hundred dollar bill I can spend 600 bucks and you're gonna. Like you're gonna get a much better and and that's with the air being beastly big using that young. Customer and they're leveraging and anticipating that that young customer today in 2008. Is gonna look a lot different by the year 2020 I'd really like this company I think European B if they are public company. I would sure consider buying stock picks coming up. Well everybody was selling their stocks last month forever that over the big correction who's buying we're gonna let you know when we return. And we're talking about reasons to create an estate plan this one really hits home. Howell Todd can you provide for special needs child or grandchild. Without placing any benefits that they're currently receiving from places like Medicare. It in jeopardy. You know and it's not even just like Medicare thing you're right special needs children that the biggest issue there is. You might already be receiving some kind of government benefits that Jewish. And and people inherently feel that they have to inherit their special needs child. Because of their fear of losing the government benefits when they get all this. And I wanna make it crystal clear a great reason to do estate planning is you have a trusting you to not have to just inherit your special needs child. You can give them the same amount of money as you can give your other children whose owner says the trustee of that truck would have the children's. Who senator Leno is a sibling who better knows the needs of the child that sibling that brother or sister again. So easy use and not turn uncle to a could use a family member who understands. And that way you inside your trust your your family trust. Is a special needs share that allows money to be paid out to the special needs child to better their lives. With out jeopardizing their government benefits and that's exactly what he have a special needs child or grandchild that's a terrific reason to create trust and do an estate plan. With the word bearings B a RRY. Jack in Dorchester just Texas chock Tucker and said he's waiting for Whitman's. To begin the delivery service. He's not assign deference to party I guess is Whitman's now gonna do deliveries as well that. That's where here they might but I did see at least where Miami could gets groceries delivered from way men's opponents to cart. You know those like Jessica and our pain and upn bilateral ports available in all locations so I actually just Google's search this wegmans delivery. And the very first sponsored thing that pops up is in stick art. The salary text Jack back to seize a regular. And let him know he can or do you wait to each justice to pay the news in Stuttgart and but again our tech's number is 63566. And you just initiate that was my name's Barry. You don't during the market correction which was a very short period of time all that volatility likely occurred in gosh about two weeks. But what we learned is during that two week period of time individual investors the little. Hold out fifty point nine million dollars of money from the stock market thinking it was overvalued and you know there it was all. Well during that same period of time corporations were buying back their stock SO share buybacks. For the month of February. Have already told a 113 point four billion dollars that the highest amount since April 2015. And receive more this I have no doubt I mean is was the big theory you know what's gonna happen with tax reform well there recent mergers and acquisitions in bonuses and increases in payroll but largely. Dividends and buybacks and if Goldman Sachs is now projecting that by actually jumped 23%. Twenty team. Two six and fifty billion dollars. And eat it in which is a good thing in many ways and you know with the job market being what it is. There's already wage inflation you see people that are leaving his job they'll leave IBM and go to work for cool. And when they make them lose their bacon another 20000 bucks a year 50000 dollars a year for making them you'll see nurses. Move from you know one hospital to another because they get better shifts and better pay. Where you don't see people which is unfortunate is in the public sector you know you don't see cop. From the city of Boston become a cop in Manchester, New Hampshire. And why now because they're tied in to the public pension questions in AD they lack worker mobility it's ironic any. He's the start of a Soviet depresses wages for policemen firefighters teachers it's these pensions that they cling to in the got to have that tension. Tea what's the worst thing he can do for your wage rate because the employer now knows this guy he's definitely he's got seventeen years in our pensions system. He's he's never here and threw it. Goldman Sachs is suggesting that we could see 825%. Correction. If interest rates on the ten year were to jump up to four and a half percent by the end the year. I think I've got a better chance of making getting the job plane for the Bruins then it if interest rates and 4%. Average tend to agree I don't think there's many forecasts out there seems like you know just kind of Coleman trying to draw some attention and they're probably right you know as if interest rates did hit four and a half percent. That would be beyond most any expectations and I would anticipate the stock market to be saved. Pretty radically but it's a likelihood of the tenure in four and a half percent we have to start seeing some real real inflation now and it was just easy. Played for the Bruins in the playoffs that accountants you know and yet they have cause for concern that that thing have cause for concern you see it you know all of a sudden. You know dog Sweeney's colonies and make a play them and you know he could sell yours if you never know various just announced that a Patrice Bergeron suffered two weeks so you might be yet McCall. On the defensive. And as you might be that desperate. I think they are you know I hope they act and I hope they rest him the unity there he might be reasonably fractured foot so. Yeah he he rested now before us now give him rest up as you're not going anywhere. Without patty bird for a plain great hockey in yet critical he's still the tropical. The State's. Department of Motor Vehicles said yesterday it's Monday. Folks that it was eliminating. A requirement. For autonomous vehicles to have a person in the driver's seat to take over in the event of an emergency. In this new rule Michael goes into effect on April 2 so mark this down. April 2 2018. Is the beginning of the autonomous car aero in the United States yeah. You're right this is huge new news not from a technological standpoint because it seems like they've been here for a while but from a psychological and societal standpoint we're gonna starts and I'm sure this is just the first of many states to start doing this and that you're gonna sort Arizona's done it that airs on his doesn't go into effect until the end the year where they can take passengers right. This is. I mean I'm just Ab at thinking out loud about people who drive for a living. Eager your taxi driver your drive in. A little your whatever it is your drive rate. This this is the beginning we've been talking about it for five years. It on April 2 your jobs begin to get eliminated. Yeah maybe it's pretty tough to argue that day you know yeah I you do you've got a number of years before it gets. Follow the accepted in their passengers in there and be a long time before uncomfortable strapping my you know my kids car seat into one of these travelers vehicles but it's the beginning you know at at what point of pizza delivery start going via Tom scars probably pretty soon. A pretty soon. Well and it's starting at California now the thing they don't happy if you look at California and errors on. The two things that data that was the big issue there have to worry about is whether the you don't have to worry about. Snow landing on this campus to those cameras are susceptible psyche your if you have DirecTV or dish television. It goes work on if that line of sight and if that line of sight gets eliminated due to mud or snow. Those those cars have great difficulty operating so in Minnesota and Vermont will be the last two. Last two stand out to us. The kind of wonder unless they have you know some I know this light car is the technology they're using. But I think even I dark past have a line of sight in order to work effectively it. It's is justice. I think what we're gonna do is we're gonna look back at this date twenty years from now and say that was the beginning. April 2 of the year 2018 was when you know. Five million people lost their jobs I think is that that number to about five million people's country drive for a living. That's when it that's the the approximate number my plea to a five million people. We do the people that work in in body shops right in anything they do you work your work and at a body shop. Write your busiest tech right now as we enter India a lot of crashes. Body shop jobs are gone you sell automobile insurance reloading. Your your premiums are gonna go from a thousand bucks 200 bucks in lead just. The transformation associated with autonomous cars. Is going to be quite remarkable to watch it's got a lot of ripple effects that I don't think everyone's fully thought about your right the the insurance industry. Is being. The auto bodies yet have but I would also measures will be a lot more aware on the cars so maybe you know maybe there's other maintenance work that needs to get down there but you're right day it could change it's it's gonna change things in ways that we can't quite match. Break coming up will be joined by Ken cost from the Hartford current repeat talking about the relationship. Between CDS in net as you know CBS is in the process of trying to acquire it. No one of Connecticut's largest employers has been pretty much flux since announcing moved to New York City since that announcement obviously a lot has changed for Edna joins talk about the Viet a CVS merger and the company's future in Connecticut. Is ten gossip from the Hartford current thanks for coming on again. I am I. So why there is a meeting this week or last with Larry merlot the CVS CEO Ngo Hartford representatives. Do we have any real details about. What Ed is immediate future looks like in the city are. Well yet easy these meeting to put a little bit too last month and the air did. They've talked with Al and was very key for Hartford is that they want to keep Edna. Headquartered in Hartford. Of course back in the last spring summer and mr. Harper Lee is CL Amanda had to announce. It's it to as the headquarters of the move into New York City. Okay that's been a kind of a shockwaves through the business community in just the whole region here around in the near Hartford area. I mean yeah we do employee and I'd panic about it in that area so we have it's a very large number I'm here you know couldn't have been kind of you know coming back slowly from the recession in employment Edwards you know another shock available now. You get to be clear. They want the whole company like picking up and moving. Okay it was prepared their top Echelon of people who would be moving to bring new headquarters in New York City. But there was a bill that. Yeah and it didn't appear to be putting fifteen and it where they could do headquartered here and wouldn't be part of the identity it is ultimately they'll make huge feat this year. Yeah and I mean how much of this does it seem like 'cause I also read that the New York six state or New York City implement cancel the tax incentives that they are planning for Edna. Did not come I had this conversation will what's the true cause here they release saying we're committed an orbit. Elizabeth about the same time. I was today you know because patent the media in the choir here made it very clear that the that they weren't you know going to be moving there. So Lydia the New York he's not going to leave those independents out there when they could maybe be using come on now. Right right that makes perfect sense I gotta wonder array if your CDS this seems to make a lot of sense you know you're CVS or requiring massive company. There's going to be huge transition. You don't you don't necessarily wanna be trying to move the headquarters that company at the same time by a lot of job expertise can be lost during that. Right exactly and you know that the economic development officials have said that to me that. That he you know you'd ever making these vetoed a little bit fearful that there and that people would be your geared top talent that they are called. May get nervous and then jump. How to turn the company and that's exactly what previous would not ought to happen because they're buying. And therefore their expertise in insurance because of course is to get physically inactive. Course I mean if I would take a perhaps has been the pessimistic view of this situation but let's say this deal does go through and CBS does end up acquiring Aetna. I mean CBS has a massive presence in Rhode Island I'm assuming that. I'm not sure that I could. Comfortably say that I'm predicting it in his job staying there Hartford for the next five to ten years where are your thoughts on. Well I think that yes there that he knows they're there had been no beer and just be clear there's no guarantees. That is coming along with them you know they haven't that would keep every last person. There are okay. But it is so over time there could be changed template that that certainly could happen and probably will happen. But I think what did you mr. Murillo the thing is that you know. And apparently ethnic here but you alternate rounded you law firm accounting firms everything that and the Hartford area that has grown up. Around the turn in if you can bend your first so long. Is valuable to them. In L and did not ever want to add that expertise. So concentrated in Hartford. In another an opinion about that this. Company issued a typed up that. You know early on in a merger they played pretty close. This is clearly. This is really mean this thing Kenya had the Fed and still be rejected. Well I am dead that's right that that's and certainly could happen. You know they could be conditions put on. Rather it. Well I you know I certainly inching of the various see how this plays out of the next couple years if the deal goes through as where all these jobs and up really appreciate coming on ten that's ten Gosselin from the Hartford current. The avenue article is CDS now wasting time getting to know Hartford thanks coming on camp site. You know I think you can actually see CDS recommit. To a New England region. And you if you're the CEO. Of CDS. In your thinking okay I'm gonna hire. Employees are in in Hartford verses. Manhattan. Think about where the cost of living news Rel is those two areas it did this to cities might only be 75 miles apart. But the cost of living in Hartford is a fraction. What it is on the upper east side. It is me you really got to be worried about that the fiscal stated stated Connecticut after the CO CBS and raised every wondered about what sort of tax situations could be coming down the pipeline receipt with Connecticut. I think but he I think what you're gonna see in Connecticut. Would be in a pretty. Dramatic change in the way that state is managed it it's been very much a welfare state. For the last and it's gotten progressively worse over the last 3040 years. I think what you're gonna see is a lot of these social welfare programs are gonna go by the wayside I think you're gonna see major cuts. In areas like police fire education. And they're gonna have to recognize much like the way Rhode Island it. They're gonna have to recognize that hey we can't keep chasing. Businesses out of this state is that totally dug successfully for the last twenty years companies that left Connecticut particularly during the loss seminary. But it's it's not. Just because of what the behaviors entered seminary here Michael's behavior over the last 2030 years and if they don't change. Then things get worse I think that he I think things will change I think Connecticut is bottomed out as we speak. I hope you're right and I hope we see some turnaround there you just have you know people flying out of state answering companies elsewhere but you know we'll CAA again for the combined entity from the CEO CBS. Yeah why wouldn't I just move those jobs factor and our program already gone all rights but I can be around we're mostly. But I give an example about Connecticut. Average annual mean we need to for a high school teacher third highest in the country 76260. Dollars that's what a high school teacher makes. In Connecticut annual mean which third highest in the country are gonna stay that. He Connecticut is not going to be able to continue to be top of the heap in terms of what the police officers make with their firefighters make and with their teachers. And it's going to be fewer oval. Because they're gonna have to cut taxes in order to convince the company. Like yet. To stay in Connecticut not to mention United Technologies so the other big dollars. I want to thank you all for tuning in to the financial exchange that they started off positive in terms of the market but right now the Dow was down. 57.
