Stay informed and up today about economic and market trends plus get breaking business news every day. And now the financial exchange with the Barry Armstrong and chuck Exxon. Do you like getting up when it's dark deal like go go home go home to work or go home after work and it's still dark. In the winter. Lot of folks don't hear in the northeast and there is some real chatter. About potentially changing time zones. Is a little bit easier in the winter so does get dark at 430. Talks out of Michael Armstrong Tucker still be here today and like we're talking about this at this time zone shift to weave its popped up a few times in the last couple weeks now. And Massachusetts seems to want to continue. Dig in on this issue and in continues to look at it even though. Everyone that I talk to says no I don't wanna change I don't mean notes it's fine the way it is but no one likes what goes on and went. Yeah I mean everyone everyone does really hate when it's. Pitch dark at 4 o'clock in your driving on ministers it's just a bad feeling and entity they point to a few. You know health issues and they say in a traffic deaths in workplace injuries heart attacks because of this I don't know that that's all that easily attributable but they're during the studies not me. I think the big thing is you can't do it alone in that it Massachusetts why not why not and I just. I can't imagine driving up to Portsmouth and suddenly changing time zones or imagine traveling from Boston. To remain. And you drive through New Hampshire and you let's say masters in Maine didn't Hampshire did and you could be driving up through there. Have to switch time zones for ten minutes when your New Hampshire and switch again it's mean I just find it. A little bit strange that he got to do it all together after doing I think of one state finally did it then the other would fall in line because they were realized that it's very convenient for the rest of doing Roland here's the biggest problem with office. Eight if you have Boston in New York on different time zones then it's screws everything pretty. Like any good to hold on it and hold on. How does it what what is its rule. It's just annoying if you're company that has that. That aren't so let's don't tell me just knowing what does it. Actually messed show your Fidelity Investments and you have treating employees boasts both in Boston and New York yet to coordinate all of their schedules on different time zones guys annoying feature for companies. Produce additional costs to those companies as opposed to a company like Pimco that based on the West Coast it's still managed trade on. Exchanges operate on eastern time yes absolutely but they have one. Preeminent location and they're not unity and on a different times you add new York and Boston which are. A three hour drive from each other if you have them on different time zones with companies that employs in both places. It's going to be an inconvenience to those companies in addition Wacom and I would come I would when he that if you ask those big companies that they would be very opposed to this change companies and all businesses in in any other business that operates around the world. After few time changes they can do. We're big boys here we're gonna I'm not we're in it they Kissinger patty cake torn and I run this can't do it I'm saying that they are going to be opposed to it. Because they're not going to do with this change what what what kind of Costas bring it. HR costs down get rid of HR. I never liked him anyway get rid of HR. I think what. I feel like we're just being babies about this like oh we can't change because otherwise like we're not going to be on the team same time zone is New York who cares about New York. Texan of the 33 ninths as we try to time shift reported did not work dimensional or going to school in the dark as a true it is when one was their time shift I I don't know it was before my time noble intent every dad is one of those big things that viewpoint too as well changed school hours to change he's not supposed to get up that early to begin with every study shows they shouldn't be going to school before nine as you want has just changed times yes yes even if none of the avenue in the states decent yes. Yes I don't care if it's better to be the first man through the wall and be the pioneer cut OK everyone else will follow if we go first I just know that there's a we've. You know in December and January whatever. Where you go into work you know the standard dagger isn't working ADM it's dark out. And then he leaves and it's dark out but at least give me like off one end it's calculated on Wednesday and I agree from a personal perspective I would generally injury and even from our own personal business perspective -- no issue with. I think there in recent big companies opposed to now my problem. Deal like your big boys deal with that okay that's an hour caterpillar doesn't say oh we have to do business in China it's such a hassle to coordinate time zones. Deal with it. You're from a completely different situations he completely difference at this time zone lake let's grow up and stop being babies here like. It's it's not like anything actually changes central ties behind and are we re manage media like you you don't sepia and Ohio Avila. Why. Aren't. I need to note times and Ohio's and I don't think there's centralize that Chicago the Chicago Tuesday Ohio central not a good example Illinois and pretty bad shape right now. Old it's not because of an hour difference for you never know Tucker a you'd never know attributed times on the throne Illinois budget all out of lack and it's got a text says you don't understand why attention from her dad are you kidding Noah I'm not I don't explain it to me mightily please elaborate what would be the problem here. It's an hour like a son to me it's not like at I don't understand why everyone freaks out when like you say oh we're gonna do something a little bit different. Like eastern time zone didn't always exist the way it. Before Christopher columns of the pilgrims came over there auto eastern time and we were fine they know figured out that probably set their clocks however they sent impacting you know England Spain wherever. And that's how they of but it looked at the sun they didn't know oh we have to make it five hours adjustment if we're here in a six hour. Did the break on how are you comparing living in the 21 century and doing business Torre for century to being 617. Century armor is back when men were real man they could figure this stuff out instead of feeling about it make yoga. This does lead us to our poll question of the day should Massachusetts opt out of daylight savings time to answer that you have are yes and no there's no room for maybe in this poll. And currently I have voted yes and yes right now is it a 100% which means that either I have just voted for. Everyone agrees with me so head over to financial exchange showed dot com. Invoked in our poll so far the yeses are leading by a score of 100% to zero no one is against this were another text saying it would be stupid for massive change time zones period Y show your work. Show your work I'm I'm happy to discuss it but. Just say it would be stupid okay I need a reason they give me a reason is that at least you know Mike said okay businesses have you know hard to development and have some additional costs will probably be minimal. Let's talk about east and moving on let's talk about chipotle chipotle in a whole heap of trouble here their shares down significantly. Following. A quarter that really shows that this company is hurting the shares down 13%. In early trading to via pretty pretty abysmal so a bad quarter of them. I don't know. I don't know enough about the food industry to be able to understand why they cannot. Fix all of these issues around their food quality. They had another rumor governor of iris down in Virginia this quarter. In addition they ruled that there. Was cheese. The case of the guy case that has got destroyed where Goldman Sachs referred to the case it as quote. Greedy. Which is not a word you want associated with your case. Fell thirty cents short of consensus estimates sales were now and it. This company's really real strong I don't know if this scenario expanding too quickly and just not having quality controls in place that. They've had time to fix these issues now and haven't done with us time either view ate at a triple. Thursday. Now Boca I left Mike. It was in the last nine days I don't think I've been to one seasons. Maybe February now at a time at wind it was about 130 news like maybe six people and it's it's not intentional it's not like us at all not eligible ever and I just it it just kind of dropped off my radar. And as a result just has now been somewhere. That that I wanted to going to. In that is any restaurant's biggest fears the second you go away for one of these reasons if if it's health scare but something like that. The sick you go away if you find something else that you like just as much. Your knuckle back. I'm game so what's your competitor can build a maybe regardless there. Even just the same price range something like via air and Air Canada. You know obviously got a barber shops and everything now five guys change acts act and all those ones so. There's a whole bunch of them that are out there but. I just IE. I would I would not touch the stock into the long period of time without some sort I wasn't concerned. I wasn't concerned about chipotle until I saw this quarter. But we're now what's it two years past the justice not to under two years now we're out to years past. You know the initial food safety concerns that they had and they still haven't figured out how to right the ship. Yeah I. NCC a consistent. You know few years of them. Having carried no issues on the food safety line be partners about this company don't don't forget about the road this year few months back woes and and Dallas some collect all their billing notice they siblings never that made an area oppressed and the problem with the political is. Any other store that might not be really bad vehement issue or any other that that. Probably has happened at a McDonald's -- there's thousands trust locations but with two poll late they've had these consistent issues any tiny problem it's gonna make headlines making it 97 no texting in us think apple is not good cheese in Grady. I know taste uttered at the trees confirmation from our listeners right here. I I've never had a case one and based on the reviews are they getting rid of it or no they discontinued the new batch of the discontinued what was the what's the sauce that they put on the menu. This to watch. The sausage that they put on the menu all trees go get bigger and they canceled that your resume is yes no one wanted it I violence is pretty good but you weren't at one despite like a big campaign to push it and say it's the future of you know to pull away. They they've canceled the laboratories of from the mentally now worth of them obviously so let's take a quick break and when we come back we're gonna be digging into. The struggle for Puerto Rico to try to get back on track going to be. Really digging into that issue and and how they're trying to get things back to normal after hurricane Maria that's coming over here on the financial exchange radio network. Hi everybody it's very Armstrong and Jake Julian were talking about a program called Z rent. Now this is specifically. Designed for those of you who wore landlords and used to collect your checks. With paper checks are gosh maybe still do will zero rent allows you to collect checks electronically. Jail is hoping he could spend a little bit of time explaining how easy grant works and why it's a big advantage for landlords. Absolutely vary so we we develops the rain to out of me the whole right now because right now. You know with the landlord when you're getting to reject. Its low it's unpredictable. Missing envelope the right line mostly waiting he might not get all the rent until the tenth or fifteenth of the month. Furthermore if your landlord on vacation in your race thing O box you know so would you rate does is it really digitize does know. It makes the wrench electronic payments it allows for roommates sharing through multiple roommates and apartments that's great if you're renting out to college student salute. It's predictable it comes at the same time every month and it's all on me. So the landlords who have been using assisting huge time savings and ointment you are you still giving the first six months free for landlords the first six months or free and then in addition to that. If you bank it one of the participating banks he ran is always pre. The financial exchanges. All over New England to go to financial exchange showed don't come and so for the station closest view this as the financial exchange radio network. Joining us now to talk about the situation in Puerto Rico as they attempt to recover from hurricane Maria is Daniel Hernandez from the Wall Street Journal. Danielle thank you very much for joining us. Did I hope for a long in recovery are we in Puerto Rico right now how how much progress has been made since the hurricane. You know it depends on where you. When I would there be any way. You know why let the he. And that other blood work work saying. They are paying only had electricity at night but you know. By and I Wear a pay as you got either out the urban areas. And started seeing something that wore a little bit more worry some people. In. What we've been drinking water. I think it is today according to the Department of Energy about 80% of the island. It's all about power. About complicate things because you know people. May not be able to communicate with the with a blind that they might not be able him from the medication but they need refrigerated. That's really one of the big things that. Causing problems and that the moment. What is the biggest impediment to a faster recovery right now is it the number of people assisting is he getting. Goods and supplies where they need to be what what's the biggest thing holding them back. I want to hearing from people poured down there and working in the let me refer. Is that the Yankees rather the lack got it is making things fairly typical. So if you are damning number pints we loved one you might not be able to get in touch with that and it went in there it is the at all. The on whether or devout aren't. Spoke and they are you. And our heart failure at the moment. It bears seem to be a lot in the station between. That there aren't. Agencies that are that are that are down and out. People. Or going out there and that they are I'm figuring out by where they go. Do it there. People would novel and on opening but sometimes he could let the communications would not. Not is not great. And so and UN about where it. Doubled up at birth order. Yeah I think you need. But a lot of Munich ordination saying it is is that the big. One of the concerns in the immediate aftermath was that there may be. A significant amount of people who decide look I'm I'm simply I'm leaving the island I'm not going to come back I'm I'm going to go somewhere where don't have to go through this recovery process. Do we have any estimates on how many people have left Puerto Rico at this point and are planning on coming back. None I read it is that people want a Smart I was in the 101000. And people who have left. The island for that reason that you stated and put on me but they are they really hope to come back and in and inspect it and who not only out. The orbit Dorman and it it out in. And act as. He he he want it they've their while he didn't want it stated in this school. Board. I not. Open. But he was adamant about. Back yet been living at eighteen years and and wanna come back the island back in the club denies that but at what part of the people who have a lot. Leaving out hope come back. That people that I down there other fine I mean art are and the amount leaving. You know kind of with a broken heart anything that aren't and then. I leave the island it. But what they're raised whether I am not. We. In terms of job prospect and financial security. Might be asked about. Talking with the Daniel Hernandez of the Wall Street Journal Danielle. Obviously you've got a whole bunch of businesses that are trying to figure out how to survive in a post hurricane world down there. What are we seeing as far as their ability to conduct commerce at this point. It depends on what factors here are your feelings let when I was out loud bangs on on. There war on or abandon an old and sometimes in other words there are actually pretty pretty well. They were all operating. Limited menu items with limited. Or for two reasons one some of the Baptist couldn't make it suit to work. And to like. By about multiple outlet they didn't want to elect but now I hated by fire anybody in and but it's on the need of people need quite the bank. And PayPal and so what they head out of having to what people go obeyed but is there hours. And so I think people like mine who work around that he's been typical teen and hope and help each other. Another person I'd have a seat at the airport and managed out on the toward. But but her hours and cut down 54 K. But you know in in an event that things like Yelp. Coworkers. Or being in another paper we are at it and completely. Eliminated because of either structural damage or. You know they did it couldn't foresee like opening up again but her. Oil about a minute left Danielle but. It in the days after the hurricane we heard that it might take up to six months to restore power to all of the island is that still the consensus estimate for getting. Those kinds of services restored. I don't I don't think it was I'm somewhere between ordered that long. After it in urban areas and indeed. Periphery of the. Unbelievable Danielle thank you very much for the time we appreciated today. Actually that is Daniel Hernandez from the Wall Street Journal talking about Puerto Rico could imagine. Just being without electricity for six months of the time I can't issue matched that number 101000 bugler moved to Florida I I've got estimate that that's going to just go up. And up and up of permit people let's say I am. And anymore I just can't. And he can't that it's very difficult to live like on any other questions how many people BO go to Florida or North Carolina new Yorker wherever saying okay have got the intention of moving back. And then just settle in and moment and just keeps them out you know there's the EU could absolutely see that because we know that. But life happens and all of a sudden you wake up when Danish in this and okay it's been two years we're still not back what what are we gonna do here. What about businesses to write you know you think about that in Santander has a lot of employees down there I believe I'm number drug companies have a lot of production facilities employees on there you gotta think. You know your business is say. Yeah I you know what these tax breaks were really nice that. We can't you know we can't have these business continuity issues where we're going to be. Without power for six months or just you know it's not going to be sustainable forests anymore. Mean the other thing with Puerto Rico they've said that they're still not giving in to begin collecting taxes for at least another. Thank you mean you're talking about a country just losing. Three months of tax revenue and out of their ability to maintain service is going forward as well so you know some real questions there about what the country looks like what that with the territory looks like. You know kind of in the aftermath of this we'll take a break don't come back we're gonna talk about AT&T'S earnings as well lies. The ability to fight a class action lawsuit that's coming up right after this break. On the financial exchange radio network. Life goes on FaceBook and follow us on Twitter. Time now for the street watch a look at the market's performance so far today thanks to Barry and jog right here on the financial exchange radio network. It is time for Wall Street watching Mike were in the middle of earnings season right now to talk a little bit about. AT&T what they soften their most recent quarter yes sir AT&T is having a tough year along with a lot of the big wireless subscribers just seem membership drop down eighteen T also has a fair bit of exposure traditional television which is struggling across the boards he saw them. Miss their their Q3 earnings estimates they also lost in that 97000. Apt post paid phone subscribers and subscribers that are most profitable paying a monthly bill they're DirecTV shed a few customers as well so it's really starting to call into question whether these bundled packages which they've really been pushing are truly going to add to that business in the bottom line stuck. A little bit just about the the TV side of things is obviously you know you talk about DirecTV losing a number of customers here. We've heard this from Comcast as well Verizon is seen similar things. Where do you think. This business finally stabilize our music can be something work every one eventually cut the court kind of like people moved from your traditional broadcast on networks over to cable late how how does this work. D.'s I'm not sure where it's going to end up it seems like AT&T and Comcast are sort of preparing for that you remember Comcast purchased NBC and those affiliated networks. AT&T is looking to purchase Time Warner which includes Sheehan and Warner Bros. and turn on the turner cable networks. So they seemed to be buckling down you know preparing for that worst case scenario okay well. Even if people are answer you know signing a perjury TV let's make sure that we got another option out there I would imagine it just means that all of these networks unit that sort of change the way they do business. And eventually though attract subscribers. Tucker went when you cut the cord. Right after the Super Bowl. So about eight months ago up and I did about four months ago Mike what do you run in these days and still paying for Verizon tiles why. Not any particularly good reason. And I haven't really researched my other options of getting rid of my phone and TV package and just going Internet which I know I would wanna do. Sixty bucks a month do you think you would at some point yep I had to guess probably like that kind all at some point. I'm just I'm always curious is again I resisted for awhile as well until you know for months ago so tonight it's the unknown what I would really like is I wish that I had a different option for Internet if I had it at third option for Internet right now it's either. X vanity or Verizon I have to have a relationship with one of those two companies if I can get a third Internet provider out in my area I would be what don't you like about those options I just. Customer service I mean that they do provide good speed that he end up paying a lot for you know a lot for your Internet connection. Happened and I just feel like it should be an area where we could get some competition in the Internet. You know wireless to let us. It for awhile I'd like to see you little bit of a trust busting enterprise going into law in the Telecom but we have yet to see that. At this point what do talking a little bit about leader bank before we go any further I know that Barry has told me for years. About his relationship with them and he's been doing business with the leader bank because they're always coming up with a great deals they've got another one right now. These may reduce earnings in great subject to change without notice and made change. After the account is opened news yesterday coming out of the cynic the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Losing a fight to allow class action suits to continue to occur for certain financial companies. Yasser they've passed this rule was it about. Eight months ago that they came there was it was longer ago they came through this new rule was that it was never actually impose this was up post financial crisis I don't know exactly ways or to a there researcher for a few years I think they finally made a recommendation 2015. And basically allowed you. When you whenever you sign up for your bank account credit card. You've signed via an application which includes a pre dispute arbitration clause meaning. You may not. File a class action lawsuit with a whole bunch of other consumers. Against that bank so you know think about that Wells Fargo situation. They are being looked at by the SE CN attorneys general about the laws that they broke but the customers themselves cannot pool together to sue Wells Fargo. Because they also Andy's dispute or attrition clauses so this rule would have done away with us it would have. Made them illegal for any new account applications for these financial for. I have mixed feelings on this on one level this does take away some of the only recourse that consumers have to try to deal get together and I'd. Effectively get compensation from firms that may have abused entire groups of people Tripp okay. On the other hand class action lawsuits are typically one of the least effective ways to actually get. Your money back Buick and in an even repeat ridiculed for years or so you know we had this huge class action lawsuit and yeah they were sixty million dollars given out and I get two dollars and 87 cents. And the lawyers got you know half the the settlement because of just however thing was structured. See you are correct that an individual basis. A class action lawsuit most often does not lead to a whole Lotta fine to competition on an individual basis. But it what it sometimes does it can be a very large penalty for an individual company. And some times and probably rarely but sometimes drive their behavior what I would rather see. Is increased effort from attorneys general from. Law enforcement to say hey look. These companies have done something wrong. And we need to prosecute them criminally I think that's a better deterrent for behavior. And a civil fine I I agree with you there are clearly a number of situations where. You people in these financial firms should be going to jail for their actions and we've rarely if ever seen it's it's incredibly rare to seat and and I and I think that. From my perspective. I think that will be a far more effective tool to go after some of these companies and say look. We're we're going to prosecute you criminally for fraud for negligence for these types of things because we know they per week we know that they occur. What struggled a bit about his ranch somewhere outbreak that is spreading through Eastern Europe. And now even starting to make its way into the US the SO ransom we talk about these things all the time ransom where the idea is that this in this. Basically virus takes over your computer locks it down. Prevents you from accessing anything on the folder around on the file whatsoever until you've paid a ransom media opinion and bitcoin. Which. This happened he had no idea analysts I can't I think I've got a couple took down no idea again you don't point. But you effectively have to pay a ransom right now as saying at 275 dollar ransom to unlock your computer which you have no guarantees that you know work they have no guarantee. Is that you know you'd you don't have any guarantee they won't block it back up later on or anything like that. But this is four for those of you who are concerned about it. The way this ransom ware showing up it is on masquerading as an update. To Adobe Flash. It is not affiliated with Adobe Flash and anyway. But if you get any kinds of weird messages over the next couple days regarding Adobe Flash on your computer. Be careful. If you remember this is the same thing as hitting Equifax a system must note Equifax had an issue with ransom where oppose posing as Adobe Flash yes I do Mario earned yet it dead this was yeah there's reasons and one yeah very recently and it take down their whole web sites though. If it's frightening there it's it's and spooky stuff and. Unfortunately one of the easiest ways that hackers have to get in is when you left them in which is kind of what does die and so you just. I always tell people and and this is probably the best advice. That I can give you when it comes to computer security if you receive a file from someone if you receive. Anything that bit. You don't nobody gonna do you think you may know about. Called a person text the present hey did you send me something. Right because it's it's it's always say oh yeah I was expecting something from Jim and you know Jim sent me something here it is and click on it. And then all of a sudden. A year and a place where you you can't get into your computer or not now you've got to go figure out OK how do I get bitcoin like can't buy Vick went to my computer doesn't work so now what do I do and it's kind of this whole cycle of any candidates shock. And then I'm gonna just left you don't don't negotiate with chuck on bitcoin has no knowledge it it doesn't end well for anyone. And some news regarding the the search for the next Federal Reserve chair Donald Trump is expected to. Select this person by I believe we're saying November 3 so the under end of next week warheads on this trip to Asia. Correct and in meeting a meeting with senate Republicans yesterday suggesting are rather pulling them. Should. Taylor or how will be fed chief that's at Stanford economics professor John Taylor as well as current fed gov. Her Jerome Powell. So he did poll is or even if your call he had his lunch with the senators last. Yesterday yesterday. Yes first time he's ever done that he did Paul the senators trying to get their opinions on it I can't tell if he's just really truly indecisive on this issue and can't. Can't quite make up his mind or if he's just trying to include some of these senators and make them feel good about the decision. Also what's interesting is Janet Yellen still in the conversation even though she wasn't mentioned here still some chatter that you Donald Trump actually likes the job she's doing right now and might continue to keep around it's like he likes her personally. Page yes he likes the job Liederman sound like they're interviewed genuinely like. You hated often impressed by H. Or at least impressed one. If you had told me a year ago that he'd still be considering keeping her on I would say decree yeah exactly I mean there are so he was wrong varies it can be very critical for on the campaign trail but it goes to show your mind changes which are in that power doesn't barrier we say that he apparently yeah Alan and Monica or kind of close. That's what he says that night I don't know what stories I read that article via. Those Hugo. And I don't know much about it but. In any case let's take a little bit of a break and on the other side Alex morrow is all of morningstar's gonna join us we're going to be talking about a couple Lott ETFs I believe. Everybody it's very are strong and I'm joined today by estate planning attorney Todd lot ski from the law firm of Cushing and dole and I were talking about drafting tips. For York Medicaid income trusts. Todd you know I keep reading almost on a weekly basis about stories worst states are challenging. Durable global trusts and Medicaid applications. What's up with the increased scrutiny on these trusts. Yeah the problem is that you know many more and more people maybe are trying to draft him more more lawyers are trying to get into the field that that may be our race. That's the safest way to say it and and they're putting paragraphs and it and it just caused problems if you if you wanna put it in English because a crack in the ice yup and allows them to reach in and you know grab those assets from the trust and it's that bad paragraph that causes the problem and so they're starting to realize that rather just put states are true yeah. States are saying you know we're gonna we're gonna take a closer look at every one of these trusts and see if there's a way that we can find a crack and that it's well makes sense now. Whipped day would have been. What's the result if you lose if you go to fear hearing you lose what happens well if you were to lose that the assets basically the assets in the trust that you might have told your clients are going to be protected from the nursing home are no longer protect they would be considered accountable that's. And exposed to the cost of nursing home care so it's a big deal it is a big if you lose it's all about drafting Jerry it's all about making sure war. You put the right paragraphs in the trust. Folks if you have a Medicaid income trust you may wanna have it reviewed to make sure that your assets are in fact protected. He can reach out Cushing handled by calling them at 8668485699. If you copy. Of the October guide it's about Medicaid income trusts. Most of you choose to download the guide from their website which is legal exchange showed dot com. The financial exchange for Barry and chuck is live on FaceBook and YouTube every morning beginning at ten and this is the financial exchange radio network. We're joined now by house wears off Morningstar to discuss a couple of medical device and software companies that were taken a look at welcome sentiment. So ours are offered Becton Dickinson. Medical device technology company maybe you can explain to meal the closer. Exactly what did you. Yeah it will pursue like. Before wanted to didn't work out to I was looking through some some of the Lestock ideas and medical device industry and I've found to be quite quite difficult to to identify two meat companies that are still. Still attractively priced at these little aware of quote what the pricing has been going. The market's been going up so the medical device industry has been been doing really well. And imparted because I'm like most of the healthcare sectors somewhat shielded from. From whatever happens two on obamacare tractor what do we wanna call it. It's seems to be a little bit more insulated from some of those regulatory. I had an indoor I have like that's gonna add Becton Dickinson is probably. One of the best companies out there it is you only if you really. And if you wanna be exposed it to healthcare sectors but you're you're still little concern about what happened to. Tom after the environmental post. Repeal or not repeal. And the reason why it is because that's and Dickinson. Well what it does its supplies some of the more basic. Surgical instrumentation. And into hospital operating room so I think a some ranges stink of sharp's system anything that. That it used to really just operate on the patient. That's what the company does that it does insult Gary Gary well as it's got over a hundred years. History it was the first on the the first company that really came out with a look at the range insulin allow that's the that's what the company does. A packed yeah I X I do get concerned about these companies were talking about Medicaid expansion a reduction in medic if you get concerned about some of these companies saying how he's going to be taxed higher they Gannett. Have to negotiate a lot or you know strictly with Medicare rates but it sounds like they've kind of enslave themselves and that's or business readies his stock over the next years. Well it. It's it's it's one of those companies that probably relatively to the rest of the space is it is a position of most attractively bullet as I noted noted earlier this for the upset is just not that. Substantial I don't think there's about about 1015% upside down next couple years. So it's that's still material and that company pays good dividend yield. But I think most importantly is that the company you're not gonna lose people worse doses. Historically few years ago I think Buffett on the world for a little bit and not necessarily the guy steps in to those all the riskier. Stem more adventurous ideas so this is not accompanied at DA you give up. You'd be overly concerned with its gonna be around and nick couple is that well the last hundred years is gonna be around for the next hundred years most likely. Caucus that's Becton Dickenson ticker symbol is BDX we switch over to out Varian Medical Systems. Yeah yes so so very as slightly different. Different medical device companies what it does it's double what it it would that are Varian Medical Systems essentially you. You bet on the future of radiotherapy and radio therapy for a little or not from the there's really just one of the most popular ways. All treating cancers such that. The technology that's simply is that Kansas City. You utility you go to you facility. You laid on the U that duct went to beam at it use it and and it and theory supposed to really pressuring corporate. Action perhaps in that eradicate that can't tell. And there they actually operate the system would say average operate the senators what do they what do they providing to get to that industry. They provided actual equipment you know this with the equipment that's a very sophisticated very expensive well we talk about more on and millions of dollars equipment dead. Did you know that they that does send this the this radioactive became. Into your body do it eradicate cancer so they big manufacturing instruments themselves. They provide a software that helps. Doctors navigate. And navigate to patients so really. Zooming in now on the on the on that cancerous cell it could be most. Versailles they don't really her too much competition it. So this is very it's a very sophisticated equipment very. Client system and and there are only two companies in the world that that that manufacture equipment like that's such shows you that. The hurdles are significant to get into that speaks and if that this is the very all the credit basis that has drawn quite rapidly if you think adjusted incidence of cancer both. I ended adult world but particularly in emerging markets. There are growing rapidly and emerging markets. They're becoming more and more old western side if you will with with their culture profile to their diseases cancers becoming bigger and bigger. Issued an emerging markets that you want to. If you that on the on on cancer treatment probably be easier way to to do good is yet. A radio therapy rather than just trying to get to guess which which drug might get an approval which might not. That's that's has preached in companies out really appreciate coming on talking about those two stocks that we had that. We had Becton Dickenson ticker symbol BDX and Dow Varian Medical Systems ticker symbol VAR and thank you out for coming on talk about those two companies. Oh wanna briefly circle back to war all poll question of the day that we have started the beginning of the show. The discussion involves moving Massachusetts away from daylight savings time and on to Atlantic time. I am strongly in favor of this I had a dark gets in winter and I think it's stupid that we do it anyway to a number of people of Texas in saying that I'm stupid which is certainly possible and so I appreciate that no reasons given no reasons given but. Look you you're listening so you know. But I think you know again our poll question of the day go over to financial exchange show dot com should Massachusetts opt out of daylight savings. Tucker what do the responses. So far 86 point 9% saying yeah let's do it and now 13% saying no exactly their listeners are on board of me saying hey we're not going to be babies about it no one follows this that's fine. We're gonna be the pioneers were gonna go first to get rid of these this. Dumb idea of daylight savings time. Is yes. Tucker you with me I had so if you Mike's not. Yeah. A southerner gonna reason they will call you from an hour had a don't worry about it. That's all the time we have for this hour on the financial exchange thank you very much for listening for Tucker Silva Michael Armstrong and checked out of we'll catch you later right here from the financial exchange radio network. And that would be Social Security first and secondly Medicare it's your Medicare supplement programs in your Medicare part B program. You know let's talk a little bit about Social Security everyone knows that you've been paying in these programs really for most your lives if you've been working. But there are a lot of questions about when you should take Social Security in the first thing that you need to understand. Is a concept called full retirement age and that age differs depending on when you were born as an example if you were born in 1942. Your sports harmony ages 65 years and ten months you're born in 57 it's 66 years in six months so you have to understand this as well as how your Social Security amount changes based on how long you wait. This is the financial exchange with the very Armstrong and chunks of you're exclusive look at business and financial news affecting your day. So leave your world and stay informed and up today about economic and market trends plus get breaking business news every day it's. And now the financial exchange with the Barry Armstrong and chuck Exxon. We're getting the point of the year now where. Daylight seems to become more and more scarce this morning. I think I had somewhere around two and a half hours where it was dark before. While I was up where where it was you know still dark. And it now right now. What do you think what what do we get to about 6 o'clock at this point is that I have maybe 615 this fast. So we're talking a little bit about maybe changing the time zone in Massachusetts chuck not a Mike Armstrong and Tucker Silva here today more not just aren't much the state of Massachusetts is talking about it now it's official and so and in this is actually made it all the way to the Wall Street Journal so now people outside Massachusetts are talking about it so we're one step away from taking over the war religious discussion now. And the talk is about moving Massachusetts off of daylight savings time in into the Atlantic time zone which would pretty much. Keep everything the way it is in the summer which is how it's supposed to be. So it's currently in test the way it is right now nearly two weeks from now where we into the deaths in the sun starts setting you don't bite launch right exactly you start crying just because it would go like my burrito I can't see because of the eating out that's dark. Not to pull it because their sales are down 14% as sows sows the stock. But Massachusetts is talking about doing this but they're saying they don't want to move unless other New England states go first. I am firmly of the opinion that Massachusetts should just go. Just go and say look daylight savings time has no place in this world anymore it's for it equated reasons we don't need it today. People say oh well we we can't have kids going to school in the dark in my responses why don't in the new school at 730 when they're half asleep cinema school at 9 o'clock like a normal person guiding picked on in school until it was like well it like at 9 o'clock hour and quarter but you're not alone they're all kinds of studies that show that we shouldn't be starting our kids likes islanders 730 that's prison because there would there were literally happened sleep still though Lego league heads I they don't care and the teachers to the to. Yet the tit for half asleep to they would benefit from this also. So. I am firmly pro Atlantic times. Mike and you have others though it's. I would I would like to Judas but I agree that I'd think you should only do if you get the buying from our surrounding states. As my position one. I don't wanna have to deal with different time zones and everywhere this red states and driving and taking the tree entering a boss from different areas how often do you do. Frequently I've go to New Hampshire I would say. Fifteen weekends a year and what would be the problem in trying to remember that it's an hour but it's an ambulance and the cost to businesses and public sooner what's what. Everyone says that. All right so what what is the cost to a business to someone being in a different times. You have to update on how to schedules for HR you have to deal with employees that are missing stuff because there are not you know you have. Business hired as an order changing and higher smarter I'm telling you that there are legitimate costs now I don't disagree I would love if Maine New Hampshire. Massachusetts. Connecticut and even New York did not adhere to daylight savings that I am not. Willing to do without the buying an answer and I've got all kinds of people who are on who were right I hear this I hear it from I I understand that I'm in the minority on this 16 on sentences were ill informed teachers are under contract about changing it will. If if the school starts in a different time they're still gonna be under contract. And and are gonna complain about starting and there. The logic of well me. Are you witnessed sleep in we don't want I would absolutely complain about that because teachers there to 5 o'clock when they started seven for that means it can be to their till 7 o'clock when mr. at 9 o'clock so 781 saying mean is also looking into getting away quietly idols a lot of states are talking about doing I'm just saying get the buying of surrounding states before you make the move you know what if Christopher Columbus and said you know what. I'm gonna wait for someone else to come with me before I go to new world. What he said you know not even close what do Hussein's torture what he said it's dangerous out there I should wait until it's safe before we do it sweetly. Another texture says I go to meetings amass all the time Olympic Connecticut this would be hugely in can mean the meetings would be the same time it would just show different time on the clock are I don't think people comprehending what pisses back. Like there actually corporate lending is a pain when you have to deal with the fact there at different times if factors into a lot of different things it'd. Will lead to mistakes if you have. States that are you know twenty minutes from each other on different times you know leads to mistakes have you get dark at 430 being depressed all went and cut that leads to betray 330 chuck. 330 the suns was done two or 345 yeah Tucker's depressed yeah. As you can tell or little cranky today because we're getting to the point where where we week and a half away now from an I world I. I hate I hate I hate it's a week and a half until the world ends yes and so we're getting there but. We do have more pull up on financial exchange show dot com and you can participate in either tell us how dumb we are to suggest this change or. How much you like it and Tucker what are the results so far. Results so far me just looks like 82% of our listeners are saying yes we should opt out of the daylight savings. And 17% saying no he's taken adware or what they tend if you once against further proof that we do have the most informed listeners ship. In the top 81% yes. Let's talk a little bit about Lord & Taylor changing gears here they're selling their flagship store in New York City. For 850 million but it's who they're selling it to that's a little bit interest it is so you have been set this thing and it's it's. Pretty something like nine stories tall it's massive masses are gorgeous building. But you know like a lot of retailers struggling. And they are still missing 350 million. Mainly for office space and we talked about this company yesterday we work is purchasing a very large chunk of it that's going to be their corporate headquarters forward. You know what the the rent is on Fifth Avenue in New York City. I couldn't even ventured yes it is ballpark in this it depends on the exact area. But the ballpark is somewhere around 3000 dollars per square foot on an annual base that's not okay so what that means is let's say you have you know the crowd having it like a flagship stores like 20030000. Square feet bigger. Probably it probably haters say it's 50000 square feet okay. If your pain. 3000 dollars a square foot a year that's a 150 million dollars a year in rent Dexia. So this this spot was appraised for 650 million dollars a few years back so you know late it's telling you okay like that's the kind of ring you and command here. We talked about we work a little bit yesterday and this to me as further through this company's. Do today like how why do you any office space on fifth that how are you gonna be profitable trying to rent this Alec what do you get if if you have to charge anywhere near market value in order to rent his space out who can pay. Are they even and even sure there I mean they're term using it for their own corporate headquarters and they certainly they're gonna be renting it out they said that they're gonna have vol office space do you think it's their own office spaces. I what I talking about it talking about here I think that's going to be one of the tenets I don't think there and they can't possibly use this entire his entire flight ship's store. And so I think it'll go to a number of different tenants and tonight. I don't know why a company like we work we need to be on fifth that and write it's if you Europe temporary. Office solution. Who you're trying to advertise to by being right there you know I guess it could be good for brand awareness I'm sure that's probably I don't I don't feel it's but. Think that that's a high price to pay for brand awareness. You know it see it paid by the advertising campaigns that you could run for 150 million dollars and stepped up you know it's like. I just I don't know if it's a great use of resources. Toyota some news coming out of them today scaling back a little bit production in Mexico in order to get a factory on line sooner yes so. Basically what they're doing here is just. Building a little bit less in this factory because they need to get their Torre hadn't come to market faster they're seeing that. Demand for at best they're truck segment is still about a 100000 more than what they're able to produce here in the US so their descent. Forget we're gonna build this thing way bigger but scale it back let's get these things going today as they want those trucks at the market by 2019. Yet it's interesting to see that somehow just by cutting this investment in saying okay it's more important for us to. Get this done sooner as opposed to having the bigger facility did they save their ever going to end up expanding it to pick up that extra production they didn't salmon him but imagine you'd plan on doing sewing their cutting the cost of this plants by 300 million dollars or planets thing between. 700 million. Just a big get these trucks to market faster I think that kind of makes cents rate Indy you've seen us truck market just. Taking off and you just don't know how much how long it's gonna last radio gas prices go before box and there goes this truck market. Stroke stroke a circle back to this a discussion on changing from eastern time to Atlanta I'm just where at some good text in here okay. One from four wincing of Massachusetts changed the times in Rhode Island New Hampshire will as well. I think there's some truth to that debate is which there is a lot of business that goes on between the states and the ones that don't change might say. They a lot of our business is coming from Massachusetts we needed kind of filed suit here. From 413. Biggest reason that school starts early so sports teams have time for afternoon games and practices that is a legitimate point OK if you're starting school hour to an hour and a half later. You have kids that are getting out until maybe 5 or 6 o'clock by the time practice is done that. And it's a little bit of a concern climb. All of a sudden that lines them up with when their parents to combine picked up for practice. Her not a bad thing necessarily. 617. You're stupid just leave things alone is there enough confusion already there's a lot of confusion in the world bullets and our sort of terrorist. Please. They're being overly creeks and our thoughts how is that confusing. I don't understand how do you consider that not confusing when you are. And earlier at all you know and drive by one place too and I don't get me wrong there's certain aspects of time change that are confused I still don't understand the international date. Can you doesn't make sense to. But we're not talking about that we're talking about literally one hour and actually affecting lake anything as far as. Any anything meaningfully into our age I wanna see light. I'm onboard with it as long as the surrounding states. Have set at 930 it's eat there. See the other works not art. Let's do it the one downside actually does make any any sporting event taking place on the West Coast does make even later. L so that is final out after that is went down I that we after its artists are. All in all of us and you've got like I don't like I start times so we we do have to factor that. Didn't allow that is a little bit of a concern so if the Celtic play in the lakers. In LA gridlock. 11 PM start time yes so wounds of that that is I don't and a that's that's something that maybe we need to figure out what to do maybe. And maybe we get California to come along with us. Move on to let Russia still. On board the eighties but you were 0508 eastern standard time I hated hated on November 5 we go into the dark tunnel it's depressing like that term the dark tunnel that is the dark tunnel I'm gonna start using that as well don't work dark outside our our work is an art world but. Yeah broadcast network TV you'll like from 50 wait yeah that's that's kind of what we're talking about here. And Bernie don't like broadcast TV but it's 60 approach and the cook road construction projects have strict time requirements this will mess. Those up can't they just shift than an hour earlier you know guess you can't chuck thank you just move them to the time that you were going to you know construct currents night or day here when evidence of being. All I'm saying is these ages that we can work out. I think we we've got plenty time to work out we can't be babies about the sport we gotta we gotta put a big adult pants his were complaining about repeats. As we're complaining about it being too dark and how we can't get through winter I know it's that there's a lot of hypocrisy here I get that. It's due to. And I stand by that point it is let's take a break and when we come back and be talking about GM and Fiat Chrysler shares climbing why that's happening in also. But it was shuffle half happening at Ford in there executive ranks that's gonna be coming up right after this break on the financial exchange radio network. Start a little bit about. GM and Fiat Chrysler both these companies. Jim particularly take a look at GM stock over the last year to 4480. Right now after pulling back a little today. But year to date up 28 point 9% over the last twelve months up 42%. Are really just talking about since this summer I mean it is just. Really grown since August of this year pretty much hitting on all cylinders right now and Fiat Chrysler do something similar Fiat Chrysler. Up plot 87%. Year to date right now in particular since August what's going on these two companies well what I sewage. Yen is that they're making real investments into the future of cars which is drive less technology. And electric cars and they're really moving in as there is investing a fair bit of money trying to be first to market. I see that with GM with Fiat Chrysler I it really looks like most of their growth is just contingent on a potential sale. They do not have the funds to build beat pouring into this new technologies. You know they're recognizing that there are at least doing a good job recognizing. That they're gonna have a tough time competing over the next few decades and looking for someone to purchase them to be able to you know. Moving to the 20% interest. What's new is that afford right now it seems like they're going through a little bit of a shake up as far as there executive suite. Yeah well he had Jim Hackett take of this company. What just in the last six months or so and so you know it takes a little while these new executives to get in. And figure out how they're gonna restructure the company in your starting to see that happen so the first thing that they did was get rid of mispronounced the name wrong John to say. He's longtime investment bankers there with a firm for a little while ice brought on under the former CEO and she's just you know. They're getting rademan they're not replacing him so yeah that's a sign me you see this rate in new executives to assessing you're seeing the same thing with General Electric right now. Albeit tackled it longer forward. But they have some catching up to the. So the question that I have on Ford this was. Accompanied that didn't take any bailouts during the financial crisis it was that one of the few American auto maker she didn't. And they seemed to come out of it in pretty good shape with the restructured company that you know was was ready to compete. But the stock really has not performed in the last six to seven years it is pretty much the same place it was right now at the middle 2010 it is. It almost seems like they they have still too much that legacy business that they that they're not moving forward as quickly as a company like GM it's. Eight I think there's a valid point to the fact that GM went through that bankruptcy was able to completely restructured and clean everything out cleaned house and Ford didn't have. Which is a good thing afford didn't go bankrupt and that's better for their investors at the time but it didn't give them the opportunity to. Take advantage of bankruptcy proceedings which can be very very attractive for company. They have forwards the most recently saw their sales fall about 3% this year through September and the overall industry industry in the US declined to bid for declining will be more rapidly which is concerned. T-Mobile and sprint they are apparently getting close to. Putting committees together for their board members to decide on their merger. Yeah so. These are two companies that are predominantly owned guys some you know some. The and on public investors re you don't have a lot of individual investors owning these stocks so basically they don't even need to put up to a shareholder vote with these minority shareholders they're just doing so with the big. The big shareholders and their just bring Johnson. Added safety to make sure that they get sued days stick. Quick look at markets right now the Dow a little bit of a sell off down a 102 points the S&P down seventeen. NASDAQ off 64 NASDAQ really down the most year. Sector by sector Telecom down one and a quarter percent right now. Materials down 1% consumer cyclical down 1%. And in general pretty much a broad based moderate sell off in nothing nothing crazy by any means but. Pretty much giving up most of yesterday's gains right now and I don't really know the reason for at this point I mean I'm looking at yes and earnings that you know work stellar but didn't completely fall par for the most part. We just haven't seen any league. You know knock your socks offerings today acquitted yesterday and Monday what's the percentage there we saw some really big big earnings reports which interest in bonds are still selling off to the the ten year treasuries now to 2.4 4% so that's the highest that we've seen on that. I wanna say in about eight months now need to take a quick look just to see. But you know let's take a look here the last time we saw the ten year treasury above 2.4. Was back in March. Okay actually early April so it's been about six months as we saw it and now in that range. So little bit of money moving out of bonds moving out of stocks as well today. Seems to be just a little bit of a pause maybe I mean it's it's been a very good earnings seasons events. Around. Looking just at some of the other odd data that we have right now. Gold also selling off a little bit at 1277. Announced oil today. West Texas intermediate 5218. Brent crude at 5829. It's not a whole lot of movement movement there those are both pretty much flat at the moment here. And you know we've we've talked over the course the last 68 months. About the the US dollar and how did actually weekend. Over the course of the spring and into the summer dollar's strength in the little bit in the last month now basket of currencies as it's measured against. The dollar is up about 2% in the last month so. Gaining back a little bit of what it lost recently in a wonderful little bit the sell off today is just because of mussina movement in May be capturing some of that. In in stock prices right now so overall market's down a little bit today giving back the gains from yesterday but still overall. Very much in positive territory for pretty much any other period you're looking at this. We'll take a quick break when we come back and talk about a new business that Amazon is getting into right. Mornings at 1030 only on the financial exchange radio network. Just about every day Amazon seems to enter a new business in just about every day it seems to drive down the stock price of a company that formally had no competition with Amazon today. That company is WW Grainger and why is they're stocked. Well Amazon announced that they are diving a little bit deeper into their business prime shipping which is where. Granger makes its bread and butter Serge Granger does industrial supplies which is not an area that Amazon is. Currently all that heavy into you but they are announcing that in the leaders of Germany in the United States against our during two day shipping for a lot of their business supplies. Which you know could impact pretty significantly company like ranger because as we've seen in the zone is willing to accept lower profit margins. In place of you know long term growth. Granger yesterday down about 4% today down additional two and a half percent so it just certainly. Even Amazon just making this announcement up nothing's changed today yet it's saying hey we're gonna start doing this. In all of a sudden a business like Granger which Trent how does Granger been around at this point. There aren't there and I think immigrants quest tournament 1927. So nine and ninety year old company is all of a sudden you know just it's it's got a new competitors that now they have to deal with this is a company that is ten billion dollars a year in revenue. And here Amazon coming in saying. We're gonna come in and out pretty much up in your entire business well. We've talked about this and other points in time and Amazon is not your traditional. Monopoly they'd they'd they'd do not they have not monopolized any single industry but they are getting to the point where. They have. DC very significant competitive edges and I would do still continue to wonder. 1 it's great the American consumer by and large so far has been fantastic the American consumer because they've lowered prices and June. Quickened the pace of which we are receiving guidance. That we shop for. And but does there come a time where you get concerned about antitrust regulations for him as a. Yes I've been there and I'm someone my own Amazon stocks on not here just saying this and having no skin in the game. For the last year or so of kind of felt. Yeah. And it's it's a largely due to the fact that. Amazon dosing gauge in some practice in particular with how it treats merchants on its own platform. That can best be described as anticompetitive. And the goal through any kind of regulation especially when it comes antitrust regulation. Is you want. To build. Competitive markets rent you're you're trying to build markets where you have the most competition. And in the most stability. So that people feel at their interest to represented in so that the markets operate without fraud and so fortune and I feel that with what we are seeing on Amazon one of the examples. Is the fact that Amazon has been notoriously slow to crack down counterfeiters. And so. We talk about building a competitive market if you don't know whether you're getting a legitimate good or counterfeit good you're sitting there saying. Hey I I can't have trust in this market in the future. And so things like that when they have this position and they can dictate to there. The people on their platform no this is how you need to do it in in this is how it's going to be done. It's. It's it's it's anticompetitive there's no other way to describe so I definitely have some concerns. On that front here. Knew coming at a Lowe's that they are gonna begin selling craftsman tools craftsman going to be distributed beyond just Sears stores. As a primary remembers a few who. A year ago or about it and maybe two years ago Sears sold their crass and brand Tuesday in the Black & Decker they've been trying to figure out exactly what they're gonna do everything in one just continue selling it through its years. So they're going to be starting to sell through those seals are seeing their brand pop up here. To people like this brand and so my father lob stood by the crass and brand for along time I don't know how he still feels about it it's not owned by. By seers. I'm one of its still has that reputation in the market. I actually sting I haven't seen a great reputation for black and. Yes I I don't know we've had still has that same reputation feel free to text us at 680 succeeding let us know your thoughts on craftsman at this point when I was a kid. We went to Sears would bar craftsman lawnmower you know it was that. Well because they're gay stood by the brand fair and serious stood by their brand they accept returns no questions asked and and I just don't know that you'll have that anymore this. Aussie. It's it it certainly I think. The the brand that is if it doesn't stand for the same level of quality that it used to think. And it's a it's unfortunate because I think it was one of those brands that through the twentieth century. It was like Maytag washers dryers yeah you knew what you were getting you knew you were getting good product and that the company selling them was gonna back it up as well so. Certainly it's if it's a little. Disappointing what's happened them in the last you know decade or two on the with all the change in the retail landscape that they're just another tactic you kind of is there another casualty what you're him. Four Texas comment about putting crashed and down. Saying thumbs down crest and junk now not a contractors to land it's made in China yet. Not present. There you go border road just like that. Oil prices continuing to arise out Mike very quietly but here we are north of 52 yeah they have continued their re there reach up I think a lot of this is still did OPEC may yet you're seeing you know supplies come down a little bit in the United States. Yeah I just. OPEC still having a pretty big impact here I don't see how it can get a whole lot higher you know we talk about this again and again the US has the ability to come and produce again and I think if you get up over 665 bucks a barrel that's got to be some sort of cap in the short term. Struggled a bit about the other markets over in China. The the Chinese equity markets Bakken 2014 and 2015. Saying they went a little nuts is. Are not really doesn't even begin to describe what happened that it it it's not doing it justice the the Chinese market the Shanghai index went from back 2000. In the middle when he fourteen up to around 5000 in the middle point fifteen up a 150%. In the span of about a year. It then promptly corrected down to around 3000 that's pretty much words being in the since then. But much like we've seen in domestic markets over the last year. China's markets have been quiet. They have been very quest to give me kind of a sense for what that means. This year. There has only been ten trading days in the Chinese market where the market has moved more than 1% up or down. Now compare that 2015 their 141. Treating gays in which the market moved up or down by 1%. So it clearly there have been some changes to the Chinese stock market and you're right you know there's been a lack of volatility across global markets this year. But I think in the case of China you have a lot more market manipulation than you do in other global markets you have the Chinese Government stepping in and really encouraging. Institutional investors keep those markets then. Looking at. You know the continued growth of Chinese markets now. Obviously they they made some moves in 2014 the kind of led to. You know the spiking of the market's opening them up to more people and so forth. But in the war in China is a country that wants to be able. To be a counterbalance to the US is providing an alternative to the US. View of the world and in where the world should be going. Will they be able to do that if they still have such a tight control in type grass. On the markets. So far it seems so. So far you know so far foreign countries and foreign investors don't seem to be too appalled by the fact that you know there are stepping in and you know really. Encouraging isn't the right word they are forcing some of their big institutional investors to support these markets and make sure that they are. You know spreading good news about. The stop war and there's all kinds of you know the situations there with capital controls and when you can and can't sell certain things I I had I look at the the ability for China to actually act as a free market in they don't have that. You know it's it's this very controlled market and it's. It's certainly has benefited China overall to this point. But did you have to start to wonder you know look if if I'm choosing to invest in China and all of a sudden I can't get my money out when I want her farm restricted from doing what I choose to do. You know those are things that unfortunately you can't really feel that pain and less actually happens he might I almost have to touch the stove the war and its hot and so. I just I have concerns about China but combing that global financial center and and still having these kinds of controls on its economy. Yep pay its its a its a fact of investing in China that you just needs and you know like if you're an individual company in your trying to start up headquarters in China or sharp production in China. You need to be concerned about how the government is going to manipulate the market. Stick to break and then we come back we're gonna continue to roll through some earnings today a whole bunch coming on the last couple days in dig into McDonald's Coca-Cola.
