In my opinion North Korea is a paper tiger. Global stock markets lower selling off but this is the fifth time not the first time not second time folks this is the fifth. Time since 209. That North Korea. Has fired a missile through Japanese airspace hi everybody it's variant truck with you here on another day where were talking about out. Really column. There are kingdom the way I don't know what we call me more crazy is the fact of the matter is. It's. Front page news so globally stock markets sold off overnight and our markets are down I'm looking at the doubt they're not done much of mean heck quarter percent yeah I mean it's not moved to talk on this news nobody last night it was sure Garcia was headline news after the markets closed right. Me yeah it last night go to bed at 9 o'clock I take a look at oh boy here we go again. There was actually I Avaya a friend who lives over in Hokkaido he runs. A division for shipping company over there and what he was telling me is that the area that this missile landed in. Is actually a major drop shipping channel and so he surprised actually. That he didn't hit anything in that channel just by mistake just there are so many ships traveling through. The area where that missile ended up landing so. Yeah that's really the problem is he this idiots can hit something. And it's got to land the missiles are very good to know they carry that's that's the problem is that. They don't know exactly what's going to happen every taught me and any time. There's no way in and unfortunately. You know it's a situation where you have you know a lot of troops in close proximity if something goes wrong it gallons of you go a hundred miles off course and you sit there and he says OK now now we've started something that we didn't want to do is remember. At the end of the day. There's no chance that North Korea wins in the war against all but still a million people. They'll be if you look at what they were games they use the easily they're talking a million people would die. And many of them would be in South Korea and in this is why I think when you look at. What's North Korea is trying to do that they're they're trying to say look don't come after us because we're gonna do damage to you was well practiced. Want to start. If they wanted to they would have done just because they know any war they get into the suicidal for. Well every isn't a mutual suicide and you know because now you're looking itself while they did the top count them Turkey North Korea is capable of doing a lot of damage to soul in there you know yes they would estimates your read. Egan you could still happen in people's soul many of which by the way your American soldiers there's no doubt about that but that's different for mutual suicide. The US still survives after any situation with North Korea. But South Korea is mean I'd I don't deny that but the fact is there is a clear winner and loser ever. Everyone loses in war we know that but at the end of the day North Korea is gone if dates if they started. Like completely gone. It well anyway I don't think we should spend anymore time on this than we absolutely have to do our poll question today is this another false alarm. From North Korea that's our poll question just go to our website financial exchange showed dot com. The spark a 100% of our audience is saying yes this is yet another false alarm from them that they they like to provoke people that. They able to do this crap. Gentlemen I've bad news. You know boy bad news c'mon in the first segment of the show bad news I am sorry Tucker traffic aware go to like there's there's a lot of options here currently. What's up cattle prices. What about what what about well the area of Texas that is being flooded we have drowning to house. It is really got when I if enacted Unita is third data rope cattle prices erupt. Cattle prices are up cows are drowning her dresses and you get a replacement in for tomorrow I gonna go down and save some beef up. I mean I gotta go down and save some beef man is is the beef it's it it's a problem. Is it as a connect we'll Tyson Foods that's one of the stock legal way up because they had a lot of house. Fortunately they must not had any in. Houston Texas but there are drowning house in Texas. As a result of this brain simply will not let they're now talking about the rain continuing through Sunday all man what's. Amazing about this is Harvey is also projected to potentially impact Louisiana little bit more when it comes back on the post. And what's interesting is they're saying go Louisiana miked up to ten inches of rainy sit there and say. Gene that doesn't sound so bad will yet it's good we've been talked about fifty inches now with regards to taxes ten inches of rain still. Awful lot of rain for that area to absorb now. You know it's it's going to be very interesting to see. How the federal government deals with hurricanes are. The you know wasn't that long how Long Will see in 56 years ago it was either 2011 or 2012 do you remember Tucker now looking up and that's on the borrowed. Well eight in 2011. Hurricane sandy hit. You know the East Coast at 2012 October October 2012 total damage bill there was about 71 billion. From my recollection in that ballpark yeah and total damage bill in Houston when he we don't know. That we it's going to be upwards of forty. Right it's not going to be 71 no part of it with with sandy the reason why the cost was so high is because of where is the operator if it hit in the most heavily populated area in the countryside Los Angeles. But here's the here's the hypocrisy. Of the moment. The hypocrisy of the moment is that. The two Texas senators that the time Jon Corzine and Ted Cruz voted against giving need. To the northeast wind hurricane sandy. And and a lot of Republicans voted against giving that aid. To the northeast when sandy hit yet now they're sitting there Ted cruises and her with the hand he needs to check for forty billion dollars. And he's got to ask the same people that he denied. He's got less than promote or. And part of the problem also is that it's. If you look at how the federal flood insurance program is funded right now us they have no money it is massively underfunded to the tune of you know twenty to thirty billion dollars at this. Right now they have a billion dollars at one point six they can borrow another five and a half billion but they are. Get your they could be it we we don't know the tally on this week we have. No idea how bad it could be I was talking with another a friend of mine who has a bunch of family down in Houston and he said something interesting. That the in the last few years not last few last decade or so what Houston is done with all of their roads any time their roads needed to be re pave via. They effectively. Tried to make their roads into new storm drains and so. They they pretty much they would build you know their roads and such away that they would eventually you'll be able to drain hopefully so the thought is look if they did a good job there with you know building those roads into drains maybe you can minimize some of the damage to the infrastructure and things like that. But I mean when this water recedes you don't know what you're going to find its left. Back they can't even get to some of the refineries in you know there there and that's why the cost estimates that you see do we we're guilty of the same thing we've settlement costs forty billion. Nobody has any idea no because we don't know we there right now they're underwater Houston airports now confirmed to be closed through at least Thursday so at least it's gonna be a full week of airport closures down in Houston at a minimum. And it could be another week beyond that before the start getting some plates back in down there. There is right now there is no way to mass transport goods in the Houston even if you needed to get a ticket truck in particular truck market to training kicked in a plane. You could the only thing you can do you got little airboats and stuff I mean we are going into a long weekend and Munich games in three days today you know there are normally not be a lot of business conducted over Labor Day weekend. Yeah I mean this is it's. This is as bad as it gets and yup. Shale producers. Are going to yet tipped. Shale lost shale production. Is going to be between 405000. Barrels per day that's how much. Shale production is coming off line as a result of hurricanes are you on the big reason is that they don't have any way to transport where they need to. They don't have any way to refine its at a sit there and saying look we we have this oil that we're trying to get at a ground. We just we can't do what right now just because otherwise it's just gonna sit there and lose value so. It's it's a starting to affect other industries as well. And if they do it bowed to the there's suggesting a twenty billion dollar hit. On Q3. Gross domestic product. But I think don't you make that up in Q4 are in in in the ensuing quarters because you think about the damage it's being done let's justice let's go with the round number fifty billion. Of damage that Beazer. Mean he's going to be checked coming out of the federal government to pay for days now how the get that money use is you know going to be up for debate. What would you generally see with disaster relief money is it doesn't come back in as quickly as it went. You know the fifty billion dollar hit that happens like that. It's it's a span of a week and all that in all that productivity is destroyed so you talk about the reduction in GDP which is estimated to be twenty billion. The money that he's got it more than it's you know how many how much wage loss there will be this week but just this week alone. Four point five billion dollars and we'll think about think about just that Exxon refinery that we are talking about yesterday may have 7000 workers there so it's early on there and say those 7000 workers guess they make pretty good money let's say the averages 75000 dollars a year so 15100 bucks a week. If they missed just one week that one refinery alone has ten million dollars in lost wages. That one refinery alone. And that's just for one week you you say let's sit in about work for a month to talk and forty million dollars in lost wages now like its it is real money. Our friend from New Hampshire wants to know how much gas prices are going up this week and that will be our next topic should be top off the tank today. Get the most comprehensive weekly economic update from CNBC senior contributor Larry Kudlow every Friday at 1045. Polling here on the financial exchange radio network. The expectation is that gas prices will increase to a pact they go up every July every. Labor Day breaks and he gets to keep Scotty get after the late. Get up there Friday night Saturday morning the raise the prices anyway. How much will gasoline prices increase as a result of hurricane army. I don't know the I don't think we know until the damage reports start coming in and went went is that matter Thursday Friday Saturday. You might that there's talk now of the storm might end up staying down in Houston area stuck through Sunday yeah so. It could be a week or two before we know just what the situation even looks. High end. According to mine numbers I needed some just back of the envelope crunching up high end would be eighty cents again. Agassi in that ballpark if if if you have a worst case scenario. I think your median scenario for the next you know couple months or so is you might see 253035. Cents a gallon somewhere in that ballpark. Best case scenario may be an increase of fifteen to twenty cents a gallon but either way you talk about an up. Either way gas prices are going up and they're not coming back down. I mean think you have I was looking at the rainfall totals okay they have in Houston right now. The National Weather Service in Houston already has recorded 42 point one inches of rain. 42 point one inches of rain. The week we can't fathom. When we get a year it appear maybe sixty inches eighty inches probably in that ballpark about sixty I would guess somewhere so they've it's it is like getting a year's worth of green in four days. And and never happened before they're not ready to work think about it when it rains too which is here we get all the news flood warnings and flash floods in this and that they arranged to which is here and we get that imagine if you got twenty times that amount of rain in a short period of time in four days now. Well will. The the story on gas prices they're probably not coming down any time soon because there's gonna be re going to be. Restrictions on refining. The idea you you're gonna have a real crunch in terms of the supply of refineries there's going to be no we're gonna have shortages may as looking at the map I mean if you don't think so and where the refineries are located yet there's a lot down in that belt. But there's also a lot and other parts of the country up appear a lot of our oil tends to go through Jersey to file you know like jerseys a huge state for all that you'd you talk about why the northern part of you know 95 looks so bad enters its Padilla all those refineries around. And so. I don't think you'll necessarily see shortages and I think on the West Coast you're probably likely to see greater impact in terms of price just because. That you talk about the refineries down in Texas they're sending a lot of that over to the West Coast and so I think you can have some problems there SE is going to be impacted a little bit in the northeast I think we're gonna be a little bit more insulated because of no the presence of New Jersey and all the refineries there. But it's it's not gonna be fun for anyone. How many people watched the game of Rome's on Sunday night. So locked sixteen point five million viewers while number. That you look at that that's HBO owns that product. I wonder how many people you know bootlegged to and watched it illegal. And that that sixteen up point five includes the replays that they showed as well as on all of their other streaming services than the raw numbers just for who watched it live and who was twelve point one million which is still the highest number in series history by about 20% you mean. For game thrown series are all here in in their series history so if you look at they've now gone after seven seasons and these are the the viewership numbers for the live episodes each season to not. This is just who's watching it live the first season averaged 2.5 million viewers and a second three point eight. Four point 976. Point 846. Point 887. Point 69. Ten point 26 this season they had a 30% bump in viewers while what do you attribute that we just. Catching on it's it it just is catching on I shall I order golf I caught up last year and this is the first season that I've watched a lot of same here. Yes it's a benched at it's it's just word of mouth and it's it's it's that good this season I thought took a little bit of a drop off was as good as the previous seasons. But the work they've done to this point it it just coax human and it's it's. That do it now is that better talker than any other series that may have been again I think the one I remember vividly would be The Sopranos that that was terrific I mean I'm still gonna put The Sopranos ahead of game throngs com. But it gives it a run for its money is. So the The Sopranos just as a comparison in terms of the the viewership. So there were six seasons in the sixth one was split up okay. Surprise averaged 3.4 66 point 62. Eight point 8710 point 999. Point 88 point 68 point 23 so that clearly terrible awful but they dropped off with a but they're pretty good parable in terms of overall audience size. And I I think in general it's it's very similar I'm curious to see how the next season of game throws ends of like it's it's gonna be the last season. The ball is is going to be huge especially it's gonna be a year and a half before auto. We'll keep in mind those readings at The Sopranos there weren't many streaming outlets available and losers are on a so that was everybody was watching match alive so I wonder what. The inflation. Yeah that's its troop is you know you look at it and game throws were the numbers I gave were for alive. Is well we're not now I'll hang it up like if you look at the total numbers. They have average if you look at lake. Repeat viewers and things like them game throws this year averaged 31 million viewers per episode I know a lot of people watch it twice actually. To just as they wanna catch up on the story I I kind of like what what I've tended to do is IA have re watched the previous week's episode just before. The next one her just so that that way I can kind of I have you guys have way too much time in your hands if you re watching I guess I get to act on Sunday night you know not. And I know you're busy feed your birds never get any data chips but it. A life he guys they come boring yesterday he watched you re watch sixty point five million people there. How do you know. They do it we're not buying something online and I often buy from Amazon. Would all do is all a goal in and I'll check that price against what you might see over on jet dot com. Is there an easier way to shop on line in the tree getting the best price. Not that I know you know and I don't. I discussed bounce around I got this thing we keep buying and it's it's cute suddenly the solicited me this morning to. Because I buy some stuff on. And you download it to you war. You're Google's search term in the you know tell you the getting good price from him. He has every is that no terror of it now. Are artists are using I would try it and try and I don't know. It's worse. A lot of people's time to necessarily do that because the way that you typically. End up actually saving money in the long run it's either on things that you buy repeatedly every day that he get a cheap price war. Or on big ticket items to big ticket items I think it makes sense to shop around. If you're just going out and you're buying. You know one off item on Amazon. I don't think it's worth your time shop around because of you spend five dollars for six now once it doesn't. It doesn't make sense. Time now for Wall Street watch a look at the market's performance so far today but I don't Berrian jug right here on the financial exchange radio network. It is time for Wall Street watch Mike Armstrong joins us now to get you caught up on markets. Might seem a little bit of volatility this morning based on the North Korean missile launch yesterday. Yeah looks that way obviously administration talked about what options are on about all options being on the table for how to deal with North Korea markets. Got to look at the jitters on the acts as compete down seven points about 13 of 1% it was. Doubt now about 34 points and NASDAQ off about twelve. Best buy they reported earnings today they had a quarterly profit that beat estimates there revenue beat estimates that same store sales were up. Stocks down 10% why is that the case. Question so in this case you know it wasn't completely irrational basically the CEO came out and said yes we had a great quarter which had a great first after the year. But we do not expect states are still continued this increase that we have seen so far this year repeat it might be censored blip on the radar so. Based on that commentary I don't think he called a blip on the radar but nonetheless based on the commentary. Invest a little bit nervous about other retail sector as a whole and best buy a particular stock down 664. As of right now and nearly 11% of that commentary from the from the company. But struggled a bit about finish line this is a company. That is down 20%. Today. And it seems like another apparel retailer just taking a huge hit here. Yeah big time. You know we saw the same thing at a foot locker a big cut their forecast for the full year. Down to fifty to sixty cents per share which is one half less than half of what their initial estimates were so. Basically had aid be cut in earnings projections and the stock taking on each and for good reason down two dollars. Almost 20% based on that news. Stop it's already been struck increased substantially this year and following electable a lot of other mall based retailers that we're seeing. Good Mike thank you for the time. That is Mike Armstrong with Wall Street watch movers board of directors announced that Expedia CEO Derek. Cause for shoddy. We it is its choice to lead over. Will be asking trivia questions about Hoover and its New England operations. In which city did Travis cola neck and Garrett camp start over. You know the answer to that question Texas at 68681. Listener with correct answer wins a 25 dollar gas card. In which city did Travis polemic and Garrett camp start mover. Well we're just talking about best buy and they are introducing along with a Amazon. A new service that I think is gonna be very attractive that are open to be attractive to your generation or not but certainly to my generation. So be very attractive the going to be bringing back. Traveling salesman. Yeah what what they're going to be doing is rolling out a team of sales people. To sit down in people's homes and recommend the U right electronics for. The homes based on the set up of each particular helps. It's an interesting idea I know that some. High end electronics stores had previously done this back in the late ninety's and early 2000 were they said hey look give us a call center consultant at your house and we can you know get you know what you might need I think it's a good idea in a lot of cases disk is. With electronic. Would you use it is that says like Tucker if you bought a new house we got new apartment. Would you would you in embrace a likeness are that age you do this kind of send you one question Pia how much. I. That's all I care about I look right they do it fairly inexpensively in charge a fee. But the the ideas are opening at the proper exactly I I generally pay pretty close attention to. Technology news and so on fairly up to speed on this is this is not a I'm not their target market I would be. My generation yet it would not even your generation to someone who doesn't care about the start watching good system you know it's if I can name pony friends of mine who. They just don't read about the stones they say gee you know I need a new TV what do like yet. Or prouder you know like I I had a learning experience with a router at. I think something like with the sound bar sound system would be very. Useful but it is mounting in on the wall to get data that is Syria they already do that. Well you know is that the Geek Squad. Both Amazon so Amazon sub contracts they contract out to las subcontractors. And best buy alma out stuff for you too as well so this this is not on the installed this is not on the service and this is on the sale where they come in before hand and say. Okay here's what you're trying to do here's what you actually need is one of the common misconceptions that you're trying to mount TV on a wall you know. How to get the wires and all but people don't realize that you can't run high voltage wiring up through Walt's not allowed to based on building coaching after and a different kind of cable up there who's. And so it's you. It doesn't they're gonna have this finding workers. The commit a good problem to have though. It is but he will be neat you're talking about people with. Pretty good technical prowess right eighties these hurt you on it hopes and you're these guys that are gonna probably command wages north of 70000 dollars you know detail known unknown unknown unknown. Renowned for not for a salesman. Now this is not someone with an install skills Elkins here this is a pure sales rule this is gonna be based point 530000 with commission up to fifty I'm guessing you know what I like about the Amazon platform is that you can book your appointment on line. You know it's it's just it's very easy. It is I had a little bit of trouble when I was I had someone come in just two do the the install on my TV just died in wanna do myself discuss I don't trust myself with electrical work I know kind of what my limits are. And I had. Problems with scheduling actually and it was not that it was not the cleanest experience that matters Amazon have been that was through Amazon. He has tried the Amazon restaurant service today in IE back center sent it to us we'll Paxton. Now I got us into maybe Abraham. No I got that and looks cool but I looked up our ball and Needham zip code and my home zip code. And data and offer the service meets you do the so they needed to alert is out by me now. Is it yeah I've I've got about fifteen maybe twenty restaurants on food are now compared to 244 where I used to live via. But it's progress rate. You know and it's not something that I would use a unnecessarily. But it's something that occasionally it's nice just to have that as an option so. I still think it's. It's a business that is going to continue to see some thinning out we know there's been some consolidation in the ads based in the last six months and I think that is gonna continue. But it's I I just I don't know what level profits are going to be able to drive. States during the month of August to the Armstrong advisory group is giving away a free guide. And it's an educational. Guide as a relates to municipal balls it's what our municipal bonds well. Their instruments that you buy there issued by east state and town municipalities. Forward in dominos are going to test the appetite for driver Lewis pizza delivery. My question is who's desperate enough to eat Domino's Pizza. So. I would generally agree with you delta basin Domino's opened up a location up in west Lebanon, New Hampshire. Which is right next to hamper New Hampshire where the lovely. College of Dartmouth is located. There's pizza place that had been in that town for about 35 years called everything but anchovies. They put that business out of business in three months really. You know how we do that yet lead I don't they stayed open one hour later. And so rather than the closing at 2 AM like everything but anchovies did they closed one hour later and they just. What that other company out of business because kids stayed up they set up I'm in order to third instead of two but it's garbage I. I agree with you. But the fact is he is it also price struck. They are because after it was broke it's it's definitely cheaper there's there's no doubt that it's cheaper. But it's in look at I've ordered play dominoes to. It's not good pizza there's no doubt about it no good food at all to preeminence I don't know like I kinda dig their little lot chicken nugget things the the dominoes. Little chicken things. I'd rather wings at notre don't know wings I'd rather go the other homeless chickened out of the reporters now that an hour's fingers there little while anyway the nugget. C let's get back to what they're doing isn't right they're all quite meet their delicious now. The they're gonna have forward escapes and believe it is. That are Thomas cars manufactured by fort obviously. Driving around Michigan Ann Arbor where Ford is testing out the driver was vehicles right now great yeah it gave the driver was vehicles but the UV drivers. Yeah and pretty much they're not going to be in self driving mode at the moment they cars and I haven't of the they do when it was warm. Ford escapes I know the dollar and parts of standard yeah. Ever Ford Escape comes with an oven and a TV notes it's. He pretty much limited at this point I'm but yes so. Domino's and fort partnering here too well you know see what they can do to try to build out this technology photos in the. With the way it works that talkers. The car will pull in funny your dorm I guess or in front of you're apartment house Maya but nobody's gonna come up and knock on your door. It'll say you'll get attacked they want to come out to the car yet to come out to the car you punch in the code right you've already paid port on your app. And then you open the oven door and out pops your pizza. Or whatever audience that they are they want to test the the customer behavior to see if this is something that's feasible people were willing we'll be doing this in New Zealand to. The eighth in New Zealand they have robots they go up and down the streets and they're doing it in Boston the edge at Boston university and injured going up and down comment this thing has lawsuit written all over bundling. You know trust some still open and I'll them. And knocked it in that area per cent at some drugs. It's ominous stick his entire hand in the thing and Utley Miller's arm off the lawsuit they got it it's it is going to happen quite a bit. Or you're gonna have lake some cute too yeah you know marijuana is legal. And they just late can't get out of his couch to go out and get the pizza so everyone else is deliveries delayed because the cars whipping out there for him to come outside. Trent like these things will happen yes these things will happen to trial and are. Betty it does further discussions. As it relates to marvelous technology. And it is a lot of skeptics about driver Lewis technology here's yet two more companies. That are investing an awful lot of money in our post a problem with computers is very seldom the computer. It's usually us not it user error it will be the same thing I I guarantee there's going to be some users can unlock it the co won't work well. If a spouse enters in nursing home Howard joint bank accounts and joint brokerage account like investment accounts mutual fund shares are they at risk and and and how does it vary for single individual. So if you're married doesn't matter whether it's a joint bank account or joint investment account. Everything. Is considered accountable for Medicaid eligibility and you know what else there that's not mentioned here how about IRA accounts. IRA retirement accounts also at risk for the cost of long term care so it doesn't matter whether it's a joint brokerage or joint bank account. You gotta put all the money on the table. And start from there. Different however when yours Singleton and right so when you're single they have a different rule. Joint bank accounts with a child you throw kit on as a joint owner right they do it all the time. If you do that then the joint bank account is deemed 100%. At risk and unless you can prove that that other person put money and we know they do it again you know look who Social Security numbers and look who's. Pensions going in there and look who Social Security's going in there. That's for bank accounts. For investment accounts fidelity account of the world right it's deemed. 50% or pro rated. Based on the number of owners on the account so if there's a spouse if there's one child on the air and 50% of that would be deemed. Not at risk so interesting distinction between the two. Kevin took from Zacks is on the line with this right now here to talk about a couple stocks and Kevin thank you for coming on with us out. Given us talk first about Juno therapeutics is company's exit 15% today is still a good idea to buy them or you bearish on. I am bullish but I actually took some profits today because we bought the stock under 25 bucks and so we are happy it takes 70% gain. And education listeners don't know what's driving it was yesterday big news were Gilead Sciences by his kite pharmaceuticals. Now the reason that's big deals because kite are rather Gilead finally put their warts they're 35 billion dollar war chest to work and bought somebody to develop. And kite is in this. Amazing. Exciting field called communal oncology. And where researchers are learning how to take your all your body's immune system. And fight cancer and the reason that's important because. The recent cancers but this scourge is that it it tricks your body it tricks your immune system into ignoring it. So these researchers are going in there and they're they're taking keys felt by the body's ability you know the white Knight that quite. Disease and re engineering them to recognize a protein so they can go and back again and go to war with cancer. Kevin is there any concern on companies like this. Is seeing something similar to what we saw with a lot of by a text in kind of 2014 and 2015. Where a ton of them ran out based on expectations of buyouts and so forth and in the last couple years been a real challenge for bio tax. Absolutely and so what you wanna look at valuations so for instance we we just talked about you know you know is the market cap now at about four billion. And yesterday kite went for twelve billion so that's quite should always run up so much here from from three billion or billion. Because of this it is anticipation that hate somebody else could paid this much. Now I'm not they're not gonna happen because. For Juno it's a little bit less likely the reason I took profits today it was because Celgene already owns 10% of you know. So it's little maybe off the table and acquisition target but. I'm a buyer of it any kind of dipped back below forty and the back and look at it is bluebird bio. Same deal they they call these stocks. Car TB AR stands for America. In the interceptor. Not important if you know what that means that the key is the important part we talked about the peace self. And so these are the three innovative companies in this area and kite you know and bluebird bio. And bluebird is. And the four point eight billion market cap so it's also you know sort of heat on the docket Matt play it back as well not so. What can you both these companies. I would imagine that investors have to be willing to accept a significant amount of volatility in order to own them. Absolutely. I mean you look at bluebird bio they we've been here in Chicago we just had the big cancer conference called ESCO. And bluebird bio shot from eighty dollars a tool 120 dollars. Because they showed some positive data all in the stock came all the way back down to ninety. Where which is where I bought it. And the reason why it is because I'm making a calculated risk that. That over time. There are pipeline will continue to produce solid data they're also partners was Belgian. And you know as long as they're doing that. Then you know the risk reward as favorable if that stock back of that eighty on me I'm probably gonna get out I'm not gonna watch go to zero. You know if they have failed clinical trials. Good Kevin thank you very much for the time we appreciated today thanks Kevin cook from Zacks in the two companies that he was talking about in case you do want to look them up. On your own bluebird bio with a ticker BL UE. And then judo therapeutics with the ticker JUNOO. That CAR. Dash T general that these are short form for that did technology it's if this were there. I think Artie is Archie out. It's amazing he'd be gearing using it in the Boston area today and it's saving lives is it like you may know somebody. That's suffering from cancer whose life he saved. By this technology. The next fifteen years are going to be pretty remarkable I think in terms of what we see the progress it's going to be similar to when we first saw the developments from chemotherapy and in the change that meaning cancer survival rates you're likely going to see a similar change in the next fifteen to twenty years as well it's it's going to be. You're you're never going to get rid of cancer never going to have a 100% still that's like you've treated better. And especially some of the hard to treat forms I think is where there's there's a lot of progress that can be made here. Cost of that treatment is over 600000 dollars that. 600000 dollars to music they. Dow's down fifteen points yes and he's down for. And will trading at 4618. Regarding municipal bonds a lot of you've heard about municipal bonds but you may not understand. Weird they could fit into your investment portfolio chuck I wanted to talk about the different types of municipal bonds because I think that's a good starting place for this conversation. Yeah and in general there are two major types of municipal bonds there what we called general obligation bonds GOs and then we also have revenue bonds general obligation bonds tend to be a little bit more stable is they're not dependent on any one type of revenue coming from a state or city or rather their backed by what we call the full faith and credit of that municipality Eric. So are there are ones that are more preferable to others currently Q1 would what would you consider one type of municipal bond. To be safer than another general obligation bonds tend to be because they can pull revenues from any stream coming in in order to pay. Those bonds revenue bonds on the other hands are typically coming from one source and airports revenue sports teams revenue something like that. And because of that they tend to be a little bit more unstable but he can also get higher yields on revenue bonds that's the trade off the face. I RE. Folks there's a lot that goes into the process. So leave your world and stay informed and up today about the economic and market trends plus get breaking business news every day it's. And now the financial exchange with the very Armstrong and chuck saga. On Saturday night or depending on where you live early Sunday morning the fight concluded between. Well Floyd Mayweather in color in the greater. And I know that a boat almost three million people somehow hacked and watched. The plate illegally talk re able to find out how many people paid for this fight and I still trying to track that down can't find it and like I couldn't find it and now I don't feel that now. But it how like how it. Three million people watched did illegally. What is it with how do you watch it illegally patty hack something. It well you don't someone else doesn't puts up the stream for -- periscope is that would tyrant that would pair Scopes one way there's other streams that just pop up on you know different web addresses and things like that of people who you know were able to at some house place defeated its. You can't see it they as the producer you can't stop that from occurring so originally put up a wall it to. Today it test prevent that no. Nothing you can do 239 different streams so watch so it's not like this was one person who was you know Sydney at Sonoma in her right appointment what did you say cost record Hannity your house there buddy's place it was 19 am box so what a bar would pale walked right roll bar is upwards of 5000 dollars here anymore via depending on years seating capacity problem that. Yup so it's again the the estimation is that if all these people and had to pay. They would of made up to sixty million dollars more than. And how much the UN and I'm surprised we don't have viewership numbers as we know that he made 300 million right. Yes that is easily Mayweather made 300 million dollars up McGregor is a closer to 100 you know. As much as I didn't want to watch this fight and mercy on this kind of thing kind of bothers me is if two guys who got the crap kicked out of each other for you the better part of an hour gale. Put a lot of time training and working for this year and then you go and just say I don't wanna pay for elves and watched. Imagine if let's say. One of these people let's say that they were you know working as a let's let's say they're truck truck and someone says hey you know. Thanks for driving us down here at but we're not gonna pay for any time like. The idea like people just don't understand what piracy don't think you would music to such as this in its or or cable television right gay people hacked. You know there's other ways it if it bothers me because that there an awful lot of people that work very hard and the result is that everyone else -- paying more that's very that's exactly. Whoever is going to end a post trip tracking of riders. As part of their privacy push I genitalia. I didn't know they were tracking my A activity after I left it the the way it works Tucker's mind. They they tracked for five minutes after you know the vehicle why. Then again and how is that possibly legal the. The state votes it's in their TO last in the terms of service. And so the reasons why buried in their suffering is in quotes all that thing that you quick except on without reading you know can elderly you know we don't we all like. Yeah and even if you have two options accept or reject it's not well I wanna talk to someone about this you know. That the big thing they'd said they wanted to do to try to improve service because they wanted to see. If someone got out on one side street and walked across the street because that's potentially a liability for them. Them because knack case. If they get hit crossing the street they can say well the guy I was supposed drop me off on one side he dropped me on the other that's the logic. That's part of it is they were trying to reduce drive reliability. They probably also just wanted more data about where people were going so they could try to plan routes better and be little more efficient. They are stopping this now it just because he had the ability opted. That you are going to have the ability to still do this but they're not going to mandate dissent. So. The thing that you generally see. It actually makes sense only if it's if it's a safety issue. I'm all right that it would bothered me was and I read this sense that way you know what this is do they do have. Knowing where I went five minutes after I got out I think are the big thing is is so let's say that they were supposed dropping off 62 main street equity at 61. It's if you're walking across the street you get hit by a car. Granted it's it's your own fault but I think they were nervous about someone suing them saying what was supposed to be dropped off on the other side of the street Newton. Why was not. You guys remembered Joan Benoit Samuelson. She's an unbelievable. Athlete from Maine and she won the women's marathon in 1980 for work. Don't remember for more let's I don't remember geez she was terrific what she's now running the Chicago marathon. And and I find this just this reliable and she sixty years old. And she's running the Chicago marathon with the goal of doing a sub three hour marathon. At 55 she ran Boston in 252. Days. I couldn't do Boston in 250 now though that none on this it. Knew could I wonder if we did like a relay if the three of us know come in well in fifth absolutely no you don't think so no way I would I don't have more of a poor guy but you you don't think so it to a swimming and have a chance but it it running no I mean it's it this. A way to think about this. Think about me those of you who have run marathons you can appreciate. The magnitude. Of this accomplishment. She is going each issue brand in the Olympic trials at age fifty and is she qualified it for a deal is unbelievable at age fifty. No woman has ever run a marathon under three hours date six it's in October I'm gonna watch it indeed to see how she does. She's picked Chicago. If she gets good conditions right yet good climate. Yet to detail and Nagin is 55 degree day cloudy not not a Thomas on or anything like that and tail wind made maybe she's got a shot and the lead if anybody can do it and be Joan Benoit sickness and god blessed in Boston keep in mind doesn't count for official records because it is too far. It's too much of a down slope. So it ball I didn't know that. Boston doesn't count for official marathon record skis even when you factor and like harper kilts too much of a down slope the island the course does seem. What wanna. Well yes it is caught heartbreak hill is hard to climb up the guard was not actually that big hill it's just where it is to mile twenty ethnic that. Everything seems like a mountain when near mile twenty. Tucker I think we're an F increase our coffee consumption OK can do from all right if there was a study done 20000 people participated. In a study in university in Spain. The study followed the Spanish participants. Who were an average age of 38 years old when they started the project and they studied these books for ten years Tucker while. In that time. 337. Participants died but people who drank four cups of coffee a day. Had a 64%. Lower risk of dying than those who never or almost never drank coffee. And that's what good news puts a lot. Check your net to take a copy a good. It's eight it I'm done it's good for the liver and amend. A good spot right now with my food intake the link between coffee consumption. And a decreased risk of mortality. Was not as prevalent in younger participants but those who were at least 45 years old and drank two additional cups of coffee per day. Had a 30%. Lower risk of mortality. Researchers took into considerations. The participants sex each and adherence to the Mediterranean diet and collected information about the food intake lifestyle health conditions. In and we history so the message here folks. You might wanna right fist and oh boy drink four cups of coffee a day. No cream yet so there I was gonna say black coffee. Drink war do not go to Starbucks and get a marquee out oh yeah this and that and everything bowl cream sincere personal like crap. For black cups of coffee a day in new live 34% longer the zone and we're gonna wonder what percent of Americans actually drink black coffee. And it's a slow. I like I I I'd heidrick line yeah man that has some bite people find it too strong or something I need a little bit of all the milk or something like that you know. Financial anxiety. In my opinion one of the most bullish indicators on the stock. Is when the CEO Phillies up to the bar and says hey. I'll take three million dollars worth of oil company stock and that's exactly what happened with Six Flags theme park have been away. As a long time yet the CEO buying three million dollars worth of company stock here. The stock is yielding about four point eight percents there's a significant yield there. I don't know if that dividend safe. Jail near the dividend they're paying out more than they are right now so I don't know if that dividend is safe. In the long run there but companies always had challenges as long as I've I've I've looked at this company several times over the last 2030 years never bought the theme park industry's tough because there's a huge capital investment that's required there soon its its capital intensive litigation you know and if you you take a look at their balance sheet the amount of debt there carrying the carry about one point six billion dollars in debt for company that is worth about four point 48 billion dollars in overall market cap. It's it's a lot of debt you talk but the revenue they bring in each year and an annual basis the early bringing in about one point three billion dollars in revenue so. And its growth it's it's a steep debt load their grow revenue about. Or maybe 5% is 86% a year occasionally but and so it's it's it's not bad but. You know it's it's just there's so much competition for entertainment dollars today Andy the did not a lot of childbirth going on right. Not a ton as I hear about quite often none of childbirth going on a I can't help put that on I'm not able to I don't you know yeah Agassi children myself the rest be you know someone else he's had unveiling our disciplined well like I could be but you know it's it. To add any drink Six Flags is the company were talking about dividend yield four point 8%. I I don't own it. Product in a buyer but I do like it I just put this out there. When you're looking to buy stocks that you and it's not a huge company and then Six Flags Nadia in enormous company. No and when you see the CEO. Stepped up and say hey I'll take three million dollars of stock in my own company Alec. They just I think it's a meaningful statement it is I mean it's a thing I don't like it when they sell yet is not a small chunk of change. It is. The cost of tapping your retirement accounts early lets you unite we. A minute we're gonna talk about all the reasons you should do it. But the fact of the matter is a lot of instances where you're in an emergency. And you either have a choice you can feed your family where he can tap your retirement account early I guess what and in a minute tap my retirement account early. Yea you see a pretty often unfortunately and so was the story is a case of a thirty year old worker. Who instead of pulling 141000 dollars outlets that he needed new car or something. Instead of point 141000 dollars at his retirement account. The account would grow to a 152000. Dollars by age 62. Assuming an 8% rate of return so he can cost you just total money down the road back and now and I think. The big thing is obviously saving for retirement is incredibly important. But I think oftentimes. The the concept of an emergency fund takes a back seat soon to retirement savings sometimes in the end the problem is that when you do that. You put yourself behind the eight ball for actually saving for retirement is because eventually have to tap those retirement Owens. And so it's something where you're saving a hundred bucks a month into retirement savings in nothing into an emergency fund. Not doing yourself any favors continued short term liquidity as well some ABC look instead of just doing a hundred a month into retirement nothing elsewhere. Maybe do 75 and retirement 25 into an emergency fund now you gradually build that up remember. About 40% of people could not script get a 400 dollars an emergency right now if you saved 25 dollars a month. For a year and a half then you got 500 bucks. Naive look it's it's a big problem if people don't do it often enough. Fatal drug overdoses. In Connecticut. Are forecast. To rise. By 18%. This year that remarkable. They're gonna have over a thousand people died in Connecticut to from drug overdoses. It is that that amount has more than tripled since 2012. And they're up 18% over last year the had 539. Deaths. Related to drug abuse through June 30. How and what the numbers are for the rest of New England I was I was gonna say Massachusetts has to be included general most the numbers that I've seen nationally are about 300% increase in the last five years. It's I'm realtors are masters is numbers are too. You know the Eaton nobody cares about it until it hit somebody you know in there and their you know their family and ya tie this is. This is a problem that cuts or roll all social levels is is not does just that. It's not just kids is not just twenty year old does not just thirty year old DC 5560 year old Yunus and the in this situation and you see people that. You know had successful careers. That are just. Falling. Falling victim this is it's a shame. It's what what you're seeing in terms of the specific trends overdose deaths related to. Prescription OP awards are decreasing but the problem is you're seeing. Massively increased deaths from heroin and fentanyl right now they get an Indian. It's being smuggled you know either through. Generally submarines and CEC a ton of fentanyl come from China sea into the fentanyl generally is my understanding. Goes to Mexico and it comes up and then a billion up I saw the submarines at ticket they can make a submarine for about a million bucks sometimes laughs you know. And they bring him in an area Heidi protect the whole coast you don't. You gotta cut off demand you know because of demand they won't bring it in. Heidi cut off to me I'd look that's got the million dollar question right now it's it's a it is. Is a problem that's killing our friends and our neighbors and people that we worked for years. You know the market has taken a turn to the positive surprisingly the Dow is up. Point at 21809. The S&P has turned negative just slightly down three point. But there was much ado about North Korea last night you know global markets were selling off and I didn't think there was much substance to it. We've had five of these things the last since 2009. Listeners correct answer wins the gas card what is the age limit. Of the vehicles that are driven by and Wilbur driver. People want to know gold prices were truck are another seven dollars an ounce today why the op and how much higher in the field. And today probably just seen a little bit of movement based on the on North Korean missile that was fired yesterday. But gold prices now at thirteen 23 and outs this is the highest level since last September so it's been about a year since we were back at this point. You know obviously I think when he talked about than the old chuck if you think I hate to European but getting back to where the dollar was in September of last year. You look at where the dollars today about the same place actually is so most of the dollar strengthening ambulance pulled up right now just to watch take a quick look at it weakened this year when we down 10% year it did on just pull that up right now just to take a quick look. Just that give you some exact figures on it. So yes so we take a look at the dollar in on who's gonna look over the last two years to give you an update on the dollar at this point last year. Was in terms the dollar index was about 94. Now OK right now it's 92 so all the strengthening that we saw on the dollar came after Donald Trump's election it was mostly in that November through December range. Since then the dollar's pullback pretty much to where was where the dollar right now is exactly where was last night. So the last you have you said okay and is going to be you know hold dollars not hedge any thing in giving completely flat and that's what we typically see. When it comes to. Currencies in the long run is there are typically big runs up and then things. You know continues stay in that range the reason why is let's talk about the US dollars and the dollar strengthens US manufacturing comes less competitive. Where does all that money go well if you wanna manufacture use and all that money out somewhere else let's say that you send it to Mexico. Whoever starts buying a pesos then all of a sudden the peso rises in value dollars more competitive dollars money flows back into dollars. It's it tends to just move. It's very much a a cycle it's not something where you have one currency that wins and then everyone else loses. It's very much a cycle that's why it's so hard to make money on courts. They don't forget. During the month of August Cushing and Dolan is making available their 2017. Medicaid update. You know you look at what's going on in Texas and you look at what's happening with. This price of energy stocks. If you're contrary in which I am to a degree. I gotta tell you I'm thinking about buying some energy shares is this a buying opportunity given that we're gonna have the worst month for energy stocks since. Well 2015. Definitely could be if you take a look at some of the big names we'll get an ExxonMobil it's the beginning of the month was trading around eighty dollars a share now is at 76. Has anything changed in the long run for ExxonMobil. No has anything changed birds that intermediate term the next two to three years we'll know. It's the next two to three months is what we're talking about her so. I think that you're gonna find some values. I think that you are. Blakely to see some opportunities here in but he still have to be care. I'm look and I'll tell you what I I went into an investment community meeting this morning. I've been tracking this one I'd I'd like some of the pipelines. And you know I've been looking at those and if you're looking for something that has yield and dividend yield. So under the gun they are some bargains in potentially. There are some bargains to be had. In the energy sector but to trucks point you wanna do your homework and he got really careful on the pipelines via Getty that you gotta be careful everywhere today. Maybe there's no. Easy way to investor dollars but there may be a buying opportunity in the energy sector but kudos you know I've got to oil trading at 45 bucks a barrel. And I think it was last August. That oil was trading in the thirties you know and if that happens again boy that means that oil prices they're gonna come now. Could be could be you know it's I always have a tough time projecting oil prices just because. It so much and it's still relies on open and if OPEC decides hey they just wanna pump prices back down 2.5 quickly. They if they say hey we're gonna cut of the two million barrels and actually do and then you need to prices back up at 7580 pretty quickly. Money talks. And BS walks and that's what we learned about Dara the new CEO where it looks like you'll be the new CEO. Movers unofficial announcement usually we we learn how much he's gonna get paid it's a lot of dough. In terms of what being an official announcement yet the Derrick duty except the job disease you know ready to go as he moved a note to. I believe he's fully on board at this point. And so they'd they didn't make an announcement yet I think god is still holding off. But I believe that it's it's as close to a done deals you can be without it being signed 200 million. Are paid a doctor while just to walk away from Expedia it's not you know BP it was a big professional athlete make the money. Lot more money being in the boardrooms. I'm stressful to me that the. Date the fifth when you do actually matters like at the end of the day like if you strike on the World Series Falwell. You know a no no wind dies no it doesn't get fed you know it's like OK it's again wonderful. You messed up in years you know leading a multi billion dollar company you you got some real problems. I do think that Castro shot he is going to be. A phenomenal higher for the I'm I'm very optimistic that he's going to be able to get back company back on track. I don't know that ever fell off track community is broke and their growth rate is still 17%. Checked it's it is a company that has some real most companies would kill for 17% growth. Yes but it's a company that has some real problems in their. Look what happened there leadership team that lost like 80%. Of their C suite and it's like they're doing that forever no I know he came a day it is the the engine. In the innovation that's coming out of that company's remarkable me if this is a transformative. Company you know you look at Newburgh and before Cooper how much conversation was there about driver of the score technology. Not much out and all the pioneers there they're not but you know what they can call it the Google. Oh god it is the victim heartland tests I I don't know an idol what Hoover up up there at the top his every time he's talking about their program right beat leather restart. They still have a go on on Pittsburgh. The the had a little problem that extols some technology to desolate I don't put them at the forefront at all. I don't know eighty their community that needs you know survive yup it that that's my point right everybody loves who verse service. But they can't keep losing with 700 million dollars according to it was 33 billion dollars a year from now you can't and and so. That's why give them credit for a lot of them movement that's occurring and drive those Arctic because people. Want that service ladylike underdog and he might be driving a taxi for a living or level and I apologize unity because you're being. You're jobs being eliminated by gyros cart technology when's it gonna happen. Probably twenty years knows. But it's coming. And I think mover deserves some of the credit for that come into the forefront. Just let it. Farmers CEO Farmers Insurance you can't buy it here in Massachusetts but. They are saying that many owners of flooded homes may be in for a troubling surprise. With that means focuses. Yet millions of people that don't have flood insurance that are being hit. Yet in the the uninsured losses from this hurricane. Could be pretty similar to what we ended up seeing back during Katrina. And you know what's interesting here. Is that Katrina overall cost about a 150 billion dollars in total economic damage or about a third that was from insured losses about fifty billion was picked up by answer button. So this is pretty much saying looked at the bit could be damaged on the continent on the scale of hundred billion dollars that we can't repair. And you know again we talked about lost wages we talked about you know all these things that I lost homes and edging you lose all your possessions everything you have leisure home. Maybe your cars insured and probably prior to get paid off on your car. Be lost everything this is why when when people complain about the weather in the northeast and I say wait a minute. We don't have big tornadoes next week we don't have hurricanes hit winter we don't have earthquakes of February we don't have locus is three feet of snow we don't have any of we have snow you you go in you stay inside and hunkered down. Big we we have it easy and I don't know we have eight years ago. Ross and windshield chuck yeah now to me as someone took my parking spot and I save with a chair. So we're joined now by Dudley all tiles from the Wall Street Journal to talk about the NAFTA negotiations which began earlier this month I doubly welcome to show. I didn't wanna so what are how the NAFTA talks going to have any insight force. They've been very dramatic about what was coming out talks before they re in Washington. The weekend before last in the coming here to Mexico on Friday for about 45 days talks. How much does and a Mexican worker. Earned on average let's say you're Mexican worker in a Ford facility in your making cars. How much does that worker make in Mexico vs if they're sitting in Ohio or Michigan. Well afford sign date contract with the union before it even began building its factories here we have a con puppet country markets seem to copy the contract. And it was about 22230. To fifty an hour. Frontline workers in the state you know for her. Assembly plant workers in the states it's about ten times that it needs. Right yeah it is night time you put in the benefits and everything else I think this. Auto workers has got to be 3040 bucks an hour day. It's higher even actually in the high forties and even if he's with all the benefits retirement everything else. So how do you overcome unity you get wages that are. In a big part of the cost of manufacturing car is labor in its ten cents on the dollar in Mexico vs. Michigan are United States anywhere in the US. Well that's right that's way manufacturers are here in Mexico. That no other reasons but. Yeah Mexico export 80% of the vehicles it produces. To be in the TV networks 76% the United States. And another 10% of Canada's NAFTA partner. So they have their heavily depend on now. NAFTA has created he mentioned auto industry to match as benefit. There's nothing wrong with that is just I mean to Mexico northern Mexico has really developed country in the past twenty years. Totally who do the cost of the car. It was made in the United States you know like you say your buy in a Ford Fusion which is made in Mexico in your pain in I don't know 17181000. Bucks for that car. How much is the cost of its made in Michigan. Well I don't know exactly I mean that. I think he labor closest that the 700000. Dollars per caller. The difference between next when it. So yes it would go up how much the Otto who. Makers that it absorbs some of that increased cost I don't know. Now which date yet I read that they. The United States had placed an embargo. Against Canadian lumber beginning on September 7 but yesterday. The delay that by a couple weeks denying. I believe they did yes I don't cover candidate against a police did. I mean the negotiations have been very. Contentious I think it ever. Kept it pretty quiet so for a I think there's a lot of issues you're looking at 23 year old agreement that. Now that we're re negotiating on president Trump's insistence. You really kind of woke up cardboard box I can ever it's in the interest a lot of people especially the Mexican. To limit the the changes to NAFTA I don't know if that's gonna happen if it's really an open question. No melody. Is it is an open question and it's it's not just. Probably it's not just a challenge that we face of Mexico we have the same similar labor costs and other parts of the country as well or other parts of the world excuse me. Thank you very much doesn't appreciate your time. What does the Alice house Wall Street Journal that was the question I had was labor cost what does it cost per hour. In Mexico new answers to dollars and fifty cents cheaper. Street how do you overcome that. He just say you can't build them in Mexico. And there are Americans willing to pay that much more for car I don't think Americans are willing to. And we're already seeing it with auto sales now the prices risen to the point where you ought to sailors alt auto sales are declining now. But then the flip side of that argument would be you'd have more people being able to afford cars. Because they'd be made in the United States and maybe more Americans were assuming that you wrapped up right away it's also assume that you can find enough workers to make all those colors you know our. Or is there enough factory workers out there that you confine. And of workers period in touch any employer they'll tell you whether they're building houses her when they're building computers he can't find workers. The big thing that I think. Needs to be looked at an all this is remember that the promise of free trade rumor was that you can grow markets to sell your products into. Well early paying those guys two dollars and fifty cents an hour in Mexico in a bind you know action it's almost 30000 dollar car so that's the criticism that that's. It's a completely fair criticism political heat you wanna say hey we're gonna figure out a way that we can sell American products in Mexico start paying those guys 101520 bucks an hour is going to.
